I think relics that emphasize masks (ie food run, off balance, cortex castle) gets really easy once you understand the intricacies of each and every mask. Lani-loli lets you swap as many times as you want but it tricks you alot Akano only lets you double jump if you havent used a regular one beforehand Kapuna wa makes you time your slow downs before hand to manage cycles and also lets you stop most enemies and crates (fires and nitros) Ika ika is just a brain fart moment, ive always imagined about what flipping gravity would affect me when i was a little kid, so its second nature to me, and swapping only 2 times every time you hit the floor is a simple rule. Things like these is why i love the mechanics in crash 4 as weird and wonky as they are sometimes. Great series lewis keep it up!
My strat for the one Ika Ika section is to just jump on the first TNT, then use a slide jump and your 2 mid-air gravity flips (maybe a double jump too) to just skip using the busses altogether and just go from crates to crates instead. Tip for Crate Escape later: Remember that if you are quick enough, you can end the level early in Crash's section.
For the middle bit straight up the trucks for the 2nd time with TNT crates you can master what I like to call... The extended long slide jump to double-jump to lani-loli fake out super launch! You can literally just get to the TNT/box cluster, perform the above landing on the upper truck upside-down, then get to the next cluster and repeat to get to the end... effectively ignoring all the trucks on the sides :) Hot tip for anyone trying this level Similar to 23:30 but better Lewis :D
Food run has always been my nemesis, the section with Loni Loli always tripped me up. I had to look up guides just to do that section. So I understand your pain. Glad you got it done.
The main problem for me was that windy thing at 11:51. Some times it would just not blow me up to that ledge, like what happened to Lewis here. And then there's the fact that it takes nearly ten minutes to get there.

Hey just prepare yourself for that Crash segment in the cortex level that you hate. Because you guessed it they put yime crates in that section yup they were THAT evil. So good luck on the annoying cortex section and then have even better luck when you reach Crash' section triple spinning isnt recommended at all. Oh yeah and The Dingo and Tawna one just goes on and on forever that ending part with the cars gojnf back and forth is the hardest part by far and dying at that part hurts the most

Neon City is one of the most unforgiving cool down areas in any game. I expected the final area to be tough (Cortex Island), but this us just unfair. I know the Cortex level here will give him hell. That level is broken.
Woohoah, these levels are really starting to strip away at your sanity bit by bit. And just knowing that there's still much worse to come (Toxic Tunnels, Seeing Double, Nitro Processing, etc) makes imagine the fits of rage you might have, just going off of what happened in Food Run. Luckily Food Run itself wasn't too long, so it didn't do as much damage to you as TFB may have wanted. As of now, I'm saying your top 5 list will be Toxic Tunnels, Seeing Double, Nitro Processing, Food Run, and The Crate Escape, going from 1-5. Who knows though, Cortex Castle might appear because of its similarities to Seeing Double, Rush Hour could make it on just because it's basically the Sunset Vista of Crash 4. One thing that I'm still sure of though is that you are perservering through this brutal game at a relatively fast pace still, especially with these unmatched daily uploads. Now might even be the most you've ever daily uploaded on this channel, probably even beating your dev times series. Good luck with these last few relics though, you'll definitely need it!
rush hour is actually quite easy i would say, yes the level goes on forever, but the characters are tawna and dingodile, meaning no triple spin or dash move aka no need to focus on anything extra you just have to run for it to the end. and the time is probably the most generous out of all the levels, when i first played this level and i saw the sapphire time was near 6 minutes i was like: bruh, platinum is a piece of cake ( and it really was, i got platinum with 3:303:31 or something ) and in my opinion the only hard part of the level was at the end where you go across the street right before the finish line. other than that it's one of the easier levels imo
For a second I got scared that the whole video is about Crash Landed. Luckily, my expectations were wrong. For the next video, don't worry about Rush Hour. That one is a fine wine. While The Crate Escape is on another level of n. sanity. It is a Cortex level. But what am I thinking? I know that you'll do them just fine. Like these two level right now. Love the video, Lewis! Yesterday, after 4 long years, I finally 100%ed crash bandicoot 4, the last 3 levels I needed to do we’re all cortex levels, the crate escape was awful for me but maybe it’ll be better for you
I feel Lewis' aggravation here. I remember the gravity-switching and food truck wall running sections being a complete bear to get through even just in a normal run. The gravity-switching just sometimes melted my brain in certain sections. Just as an aside, there is a mod for the PC version of Crash 4 called *Crash 4 N. Hanced Edition* that cuts away a lot of the gratuitous content and makes some quality of life improvements to make going for 100% completion way less taxing and less of a chore. I highly recommend checking it out for those that were turned off by certain elements of Crash 4.
I gave up on level 2 lol I did 37/38 Perfect relics (I can’t do toxic tunnels it’s too much) but these were too hard to the point I didn’t even want to really try. Didn’t seem like it would be a fun experience
