The two-stroke power valve system is an improvement to a conventional two-stroke engine that gives a high power output over a wider RPM range.
Yamaha engineers realized that by altering the height of the exhaust port they could effectively change the engine power delivery thereby having optimal power and torque across the entire rev range, so it was how the YPVS was born.

Ypvs was not on the first model used in the video. It was fitted to the RZ models of 1983 which looked very different.The ypvs system pictured on the concept bike, is now well out of date.

Nothing beats a two stroke and if Yamaha executives decided to do so, they would be the just the ones to do it.
Snowmobile two stroke technology has already proven to meet and exceed Federal emissions requirements requirements, so no problem there, so there's no doubt this bike would be a very much in demand best seller simply because it was and will always be the best sport bike ever developed from the masses.

If produced it will be a four stroke parallel twin, ie nothing like the old bike.
