- After five years on the road with his band Mike Snowden needed a break so he started building Cigar Box Guitars. Today he has sold about a 1000 of them and continues to build and play his homemade guitars around the world.

I can tell you love what you're doing. That's awesome! Did you have trouble at first, parting with one of your creations. I've done a couple kit guitars, license plate, lap steel, etc. I just completed my 2nd cbg. I thought about maybe selling it to fund my building habit, but it turned out so good, I don't know if I can! Any suggestions?👍😎🎸🎶
I am the same way. I have 8 of them now. I started on some builds with the intention of making them for gifts. After I string it up and play it I can't seem to part with it. At some point I will have to part with some. I already have plans to build 2 more.
