  • We recently stayed at South Cove County Park. It was a Clemson home football weekend and the accessibility to the Seneca side of campus was convenient. The campground was full for the weekend, but we reserved our site through Monday to avoid the crowd leaving Sunday morning. The only thing that we don’t like about this campground is the noon checkout. It was worth the extra $30 to be able to stay and video the campground and enjoy the water all day Sunday. And of course, no line at the dump station at 6pm.
The campground is very nice. The grounds are well kept. The sites are all gravel, and reasonably level. Most of the sites are on the water, but all of them have a view of the lake. Access into the water is a little difficult due to the large rip-rap that lines the banks of the entire campground.

Great review. We just found your channel and subscribed. Your videos are well done and exactly the info needed for scouting camp sites!

Love your park tours Clemson Camper! We watched the Springfield, Oconee Point, and Coneross videos multiple times as we were planning our stays there. We were sad that you didn’t have videos for South Cove CP and Twin Lakes COE as we were hitting all 5 parks in our upstate SC visit. Imagine our surprise to find your new South Cove tour, and then to find that we were in it (site 90). I do remember seeing you on your bike, wish I would have known it was you so I could have said hi! We are at Twin Lakes now you should come over and do a tour here. It is a lovely COE park with so many different types of sites and your visualization of each site would be great for future campers. Happy Camping!

Twin Lakes is on the schedule for next month. I have been trying for a while to get a site, but it has been hard to find an opening that suited our schedule.

@@clemsoncamper Excellent! TL will be packed to the gills this weekend for homecoming. Should be a fun experience even for these WI Badger fans. I should mention to you that, at both Oconee Point and here at Twin Lakes, we have been told we cannot use our ebikes.

@@lynnlodholz6798 The Corp is funny that way. No ebikes or golf carts. We will be across the lake at Oconee Point. For us, that is an easier way to access the game. And camp sites are easier to get.

@@clemsoncamper Good news: I called the Lake Hartwell Corps of Engineers office and spoke to Ranger Dale. He advised ebikes ARE allowed now. He was going to call the gatehouse here at Twin Lakes to let them know.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That is great to know. Thanks for making the effort to get to the bottom of it, and getting the volunteers updated. Now, go enjoy your ebikes!

That is great news! Dump station lines are the worst part of the weekend.

Actually they closed the new one due to leakage into the lake in mass amounts
