I built a speaker like this into a bag too!! I used a tpa3116 board and linked it up to an old logitech 2.1 system with subwoofer and two top speakers. Works great with a simple 12 volt battery :)! If you are interested I can do a video for you
Yes, I have tried that previously and it was uncomfortable since you don't have the padding in the back. And it doesn't "bend" to the form of your back... Yes you could probably fit more powerful speakers and a larger car amplifier with some huge batteries and capacitor, but I make this project for fun. (and so my school doesn't flag me for bringing another thing that looks like a "explosive device")

Couldn’t I just get a big Bluetooth speaker get some woodworking glue and cut off some backpack strap and slap it on and make it a back pack?
