I can definitely smell a new piece of gear coming. New software can often times be bred from the concept of new hardware. I'm all for it and refuse to give up on Maschine. I think they had and still have the potential to hold a place in the groove box market. Wonderful video man!
I would pay $49.99 for the Maschine 3.0 but anything over that I'd be on the fence as they say. I'm a hobbiest so I don't really make money its just the enjoyment for me. I currently use a KOMPLETE KONTROL S61 MK2 HW and a MASCHINE MK3 R2 HW with KOMPLETE 14 STANDARD Update and Maschine 2.10, and Ableton Live 11.***
@@ernestm8884 right. Do what makes you happy, that’s the purpose behind music creation, it’s healthy for the soul. Hopefully, Maschine 3.0 won’t cost too much.
@@joeymc5272 I brought this up because it’s an opinion, which I have the right to express. I didn’t say they would deliver new hardware at the same time as the software update. I'm stating the what-ifs and possibilities for what could happen in the near future. It doesn't necessarily follow that NI won't change their minds about not releasing new hardware, despite what you may have read or heard. Thank you for your concern.
Okay! Let's get it! What up, Boss! I never giving up my Machine Studio or Jam. I am not with it, not working with the newer software! The newer Machine need to be able to compete with the Push 3
I haven’t used my maschine mk3 in quite a while. My biggest gripe with the software was that I couldn’t easily mute midi events like in an actual daw. Now that integration with s61 mk3 is coming, if I can mute single events, I may purchase the update and start using the hardware again. 🎹💙
Ah, I see. Hopefully, they'll have something like that as a feature in the DAW, otherwise, I'd continue to do what I've been doing. I wouldn't let a small restriction keep me from using it. You got this!
@@jaunti Thank you for your reply my brother. Muting single events is one of the cornerstones of my workflow. If the Maschine daw-ish doesn’t have that, it’s a nonstarter for me. I would then just continue what I’ve been doing. 🎹💙
@@jaunti I must add that I love how I can adjust the timing and length of notes in maschine software. That was really attractive and useful for me, but I absolutely have to be able to mute events easily. I also love the feature, (I forgot the name), where I could take a sample that may be 4 or 8 bars long and just have it playing/recording only while I hold the pad down. That’s dope and I’ve used it on 2 or 3 songs so far. 🎹💙
Greetings Will the possibility of delay compensation be included with the update of Mascine 3? In fact, you know that there are plugins that for more qualitative sampling inevitably have a slight but annoying delay which in other DAWs can be corrected by aligning the tracks perfectly. Thank you. louis
I did some research and unfortunately, it doesn't have delay compensation just yet. Several people that I read from forums have reported that and although Maschine 3 has just been released, it's possible that NI could add it in the near future.
Thanks for the information brother! I have a question? As for the Mashine + I've noticed people who have it are having problems with upgrading to a 1T memory card. Did you upgrade grade yours? If so what brand and amount of memory?
No problem bro. What’s funny is that I did talk about the possibility of bugs and errors with the plus in this video but I cut it out, even before it was released to the public, it could have given others problems just as much as the Kontrol MK3. Who knows? When I start traveling more, I will upgrade mine. I haven’t done so yet. Do your homework before attempting anything, just to be sure, as I read on Reddit that someone suggested using a UHS Speed Class 3/256GB U3 card.
There’s no Native Instruments stores that I know of or Maschine genius bars. 😆 Usually midi controllers don’t stay supported for as long as Maschine. Since they started as Software/Controler companies, they should at least keep vst 3 compatibility for certain controllers. That’s probably what they did anyway. My Maschine Studio wasn’t fully supported since the M1 Mac’s came out so I was forced to buy a MK3. I m excited to see what’s next though.
Ha, nice one with the Maschine genius bars 😂 I wish they did have some, they'd save us all of these headaches but I hope this new update could finally do us some justice with our current devices and even the older ones.
@@jaunti yes sir! I hope so too. Lack or Maschine updates caused me to make some investments on the Japanese brand. I still use both but I find Maschine to be way simpler to build out entire songs and good for quantized arrangements. MPCs just gives me snappier drums, better sounding 808’s and a better un-quantized feel do to the standalone feature.
Just beed maschine studio to still work.better automation. A master channel so we can mix beats easier. Better overall optimization. Improved song mode. I like using it but make it easier to mess with in that mode like cuts and stuff
I feel you on that. The Maschine Studio was the first drum machine I wanted to get years ago but I was too late when they decided to discontinue it. With this new software update, I am hoping for everything you mentioned.
@@jaunti I use it because it integrated well with native instruments stuff and I think sequencing is really quick and easy to rearrange but there's just a lot of things that you need to export into another daw to do. If they can just bridge that gap they'd be great. Although this is coming from someone who doesn't sample at all. I play everything so I'm sure the mpc software is more intuitive for sample based people
Nah. Has Akai made some serious advancements before NI? Absolutely. They're doing really great things with the new software for the MPC and have improved the workflow for sure. Introducing stem separation was such an incredible and surprising addition as well. However maschine still has a much better workflow and is incredibly quick to work with and has less limitations on what you can do with each sound and group. Stem separation coming in Maschine 3 is behind Akai FS but also something even Ableton hasn't done. NI has so many amazing expansions for maschine as well as incredible plugins that MPC doesn't natively have. I will say NI not staying on top of maschine and taking way too long on updates is pretty ridiculous. If they can at least listen to maschine users a bit more and not fuck up this update then I don't see anyone leaving maschine behind. The workflow and integration with NI products is just too damn good to walk away from.
all in all a very underwhelming update. No real mention of updates for + or if the + will even be able to handle the stem separation on its own. How will the midi editing be improved for standalone? I'm purely a standalone user these days. I'm aware of the 128 new multi instruments(very very very underwelming number for a 10 year wait on an update), but aside from that, what new is there for Maschine+?
I know there isn't any mentions of new hardware. In the video, I mentioned that I don't know if there will be any hardware reveals, all we can do is speculate from this point but I'm only pointing out the possibilities of what else could come with the software update. We just have to wait and see. Hopefully, it'll be better than what we're expecting.
#HappyMonday. Do you think new hardware will be coming soon? Let me know what you think!

There are no plans for a Maschine MK4 anytime soon, as confirmed by a member of the Native Instruments Product Team.
Idk why but i feel in my heart there will be a new maschine with one large screen. Hopefully touchscreen.
Touchscreen would be so much better.

All I care about is a linear song mode, better automation, and plugin delay compensation.
Not worried about any of this as long as my Maschine Studio is supported.
