Ik this comment is 9 months old, but this IS Agent 4, you are fighting Agent 4's soul, since it copies your Splatoon 2 save data if you have it, it'll take your Agent 4's hair style and use it on Parallel Canon, as well, the difficulty of the boss depends if it's lvl 10 or lvl 20 BUT Parallel Canon WILL copy your upgrade chips too!

Considering we're fighting either a bunch of random inklings or just a bunch of copies of Four it's a neat detail to include, since it's the only boss which isn't related to the octarians.

It's just parted a bit and the rhythm is slightly changed, but it's immediately followed up with a flurry of notes. Listen to the first five notes starting at about 0:48 . they relaly need to buff this boss, it's kinda a cool idea but once you get to a certain level in multiplayer killing them is way too easy regardless of chips
I don’t think this will be the last time we’ll see 4 in a splatoon story mode: 1. Side order is wave 2 of the dlc, not final wave 2. Side order seems like a foundation of what we could expect from him/her in the future 3. The dev team seems to be preparing a better role for him/her in the future (The official splatoon world map has an location specifically marked as “agent 4’s house”)
Its so sad that ive cleared 7 pallets and only ever been given this boss ONCE ( i won ) but still its such a fun tune and boss that i wish i could get more of :/
