Saw the Sonic 2 movie, exasperated that the Death Egg theme was not in it, immediately found this and replayed that scene with this as the World Domination Soundtrack. Made it ten times funnier.
As stated previously, I admittedly am not a big fan of this boss theme (it places in my 'bottom 5' Genesis-era Robotnik themes), but you know what? Hmmmm, when I first listened to this I thought the rhythm's bass was up wayyyy too high, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. Kinda feels like it's combining both a really grungey military sound like something you'd hear in one of Command & Conquer's enemy-faction themes, with a really sort of desolate 'vacuum of space' sound. Suits both Robotnik's robot army approach, and the 'empty space station' sort of vibe that the Genesis games pretty much always had as their final level.
