I think the basics are essential and the one thing.. (i have learnt many things), but the one thing people need to learn is to change their attitudes towards dogs.. I have had dogs my entire life and thought I knew everything..but I didn’t.. I think peoples attitudes about dogs is important because to put human emotions onto dogs doesn’t respect dogs for who they are and it absolutely causes so many behavioural issues in dogs.. The softest person can be a strong pack leader if their attitude is right.. and they learn dog body language which is essential and a few basic but essential tips that everyone must learn.. I watched a DOG BEHAVIOUR dude on tv the other day and I was SHOCKED this so called professional dog person missed such a vital cue the dog give them. The dog had no boundaries and jumped on everyone and the man used treats as a reward.. the dog had all 4 feet on the ground and THEN MOVED BACK.. which was ABSOLUTELY A SIGN THE DOG was trying to work out what they wanted and THE EXACT TIME WHEN HE SHOULD HAVE REWARDED THE DOG when he took a step BACK, because the dog was working out the idea of BOUNDARIES and giving human’s space, but the man totally ignored it.. and this SHOCKED ME because he wasn’t paying attention to the dogs body language.. and an important time to tell the dog that’s exactly what they wanted.. But if people watch Cesar’s videos they will learn ALL OF THIS.. and timing is vital.. as well as everything else CESAR teaches.. because CESAR is the only dog/people trainer who addresses dogs as dogs.. and honours dogs for who they instead of changing them to suit us.. ❤❤❤ Sorry for ranting.. but everyone would benefit from Cesar’s methods..

❤your content. Been watching since 2010. Yeah, really. 😊Your advice on Re-potty training 4 year old dogs. It's intentional on the dogs part. They ask to go out when they want to. I'm currently a live~N for some family. They have No idea how to own a dog. 😅 2 small breed spoiled girls. The 1 year old sheep dog doesn't have this issue. Dynamics of the family is off. But still. 🤷‍♀️

Hello from Alaska! Thank you for showing us why dogs behave the way they do and how to change our behavior, along with the dog, to achieve the desired result. I would like to see a video on, how to meet a large animal while walking on a wilderness trail, and walk away as calmly as possible. Large animal = moose or bear. You are more than welcome to visit😉 thank you again.

Cesar, do you sell a treadmill to train dogs? I see treadmills designed for dogs but they don't look very safe. If I saw one with your stamp of approval, I'd be more comfortable purchasing one. Thank you!❤

Please help with control of a Briard and a Samoyed, both 2 1/2 years old. My husband decided to show them at the age of 76 and didn’t want any other training other than moving and stacking in the ring. Now it’s dangerous and out of control. I’ve never in my life owned these breeds or ever let them go without obedience and respect. Help! I can’t let it go anymore.

Hi we just brought home a dog around 2 years old. He had been alone alot. This is why he was given to us. He is a pekingese and chihuahua mix. When we go to pet our other dogs or cat, he tries to bite us, even when I pushed food closer to him to eat it, he tried to bite me. I have 2 other male dogs scrappy ( an old deaf and mostly blind pug) a rescue dog, and a pomeranian ( who is the dominant one and growls at the new dog, He doesn't like him. The new dog, piglet seems friendly otherwise, just at times he's aggressive. How should we handle this? We also have a female dog, Bella which he likes. He is actually trying to mate with her..

I have a 6 yr old mix he weighs about 26 lbs. He is fine walking with other dogs and people but if someone comes to our home he goes crazy. We are senior citizens and have never had a dog who does this. I am afraid of anyone coming to our home. What should we do?

I took in my brothers pitbull. He was stuck in alone for 4yrs. Unsocialized and semi wild but he has a good heart. Ive had him for a year now. With people hes excellent. The neighborhood kids stop at my house to pet him now. Ive got 2 problems with him. Leash pulling and other dogs. He's 90lbs and strong. Everytime he sees another dog the hair on the back of his neck rises and he gets murderous! The weird thing is i also have an maltipoo that is in charge in the house. They werent raised together either. He respects the maltipoo. Id like to know some techniques to stop his derangement against other dogs on walks. I have to have him muzzled when we are out.

We've got a 14 year old German shepherd called Valentine who's getting over vestibular. I bought a strap to lift her back legs but she doesn't like it, though I'm sure it will help her back legs after she's recovered more. She prefers us using a rope lead. I just kept hearing you say "keep the brain moving forward" because vestibular affects balance, I wanted to find the quickest way to help her restore it. Yes she's still recovering but I think if I hadn't done that and tried her with a harness etc, she wouldn't be recovering as well as she is. I've kept it simple and that's what has worked best. She's now at the stage where her brain has almost fully recovered but the body hasn't caught up. She's doing very well and I judge when to help and when to let her figure it out. It's the fastest way to get her confidence back. Thank you Cesar, I've learned so much from you 🐕‍🦺🐾🩷💙
