    CE does not mean it is approved by any European institute , but the the manufacturer claims his device is conformed to the regulations. Some people joking ce means "China Export" :-)

      @@dl8cy Thanks for an input Mike! Cool spelling for the "CE"! But still, IMO, the standards are set by the ETSI and manufacturers are obliged to carry the tests out in the certified lab and provide the right documents. I don't know, though, if a Ham Radio equipment requires the notified body involved. Anyone from DG Internal Market here? :) 73! Linas LY2H
