Beautiful work. Plus I'm a self-teaching student, and so grateful to see your process from start to finish - it's more instructive than you might realize!
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Conrad Otis Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
You are awesome!!!!OMG Thank You so much....I don't know how I made my way over here...but sure glad I have. Thank YOU for inspiring me. For the longest time I had been pondering the making of one of these....and after a long wait I have found myself here fully inspired. And the best is that I never planned it. Thank you SOOOO000ooooo much!!!
Love how you made the ring, it is beautiful, you don't realise how much work goes into them, stunning. Sorry had to turn the volume off though. Thank you for the video, nice to know how it's done.
From one spinner ring maker to another, awesome video!! Thanks for sharing, it's wonderful to see how other people make these and share their knowledge!! I picked up some tricks :)
I love your comment. What we do is an Art craft and we always learn and share from each other, so our craft will never die :) have an awesomely creative day Linda Doubek!
Thanks so much! I have watched those videos as well but wasn't sure if the butane torch would get hot enough for this! I'm tempted to use the propane torch you mentioned as well but maybe once I get the hang of this all! I, of course am not knowledgable enough to roll my own silver sheets so I'll have to buy it at rio grande. Thanks again so much! I love your videos!
Danielle Blakely Danielle there isa video n rolling your own sheet, but you need a rolling mill. Throw out the butane torch they are really useless. Get yourself a propane torch till you can afford an oxy propane. Just an update.. you can buy a propane can that already has a pencil torch tip that comes with it for about $14, better than the swirl flame tip that i showed in my video. you will have to light it with a lighter or dither. You just need to buy a separate hose. www.homedepot.com/p/Bernzomatic-UL100-Basic-Propane-Torch-Kit-334458/203665003
Very interesting tutorial. Nice ring. I am teaching myself to make rings and have alwats lots if questions... Is your ring not getting bigger after you hammer it (tecture) and when you finish it with the punch? Thank you for your answer. Mieke
Wow Leslie! What a great way to show the process from start to finish, especially for those with a general knowledge of silver work just starting out. Perfect demo. And we get to listen to all our fave music! ( performed by Alvin and the Chipmunks) Great friends love the same music! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for posting this! Question please.... do you have a formula to determine the correct measurements for each ring size? Thank you in advance.
Hi...I love this ring, is that copper wire you have used? Also, is the "bobbly"wire sterling silver? Where can you get that from, I haven't seen it before. Thanks for the video.
Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. ❤️. What is the tool in the dremmel that you put the sandpaper into when you were sanding the inside on the ring please?
Heather Allen my Master taught me to make that sanding tool . Just use a nail , sliced halfway , down the centre with your jewellers saw . Been using one for years
This is so cool, Leslie! Thanks again for sharing your expertise. I love to watch you work. I learned a lot. (I had to turn off the sound and slow the video down as that's the only way my brain could take it in.)
Good informative video learned a lot even without the sound. Is the center spinner thin ring gold or copper? I can see the silver accent bead but can't figure out the other metal.
You freakin rock Leslie and i kinda dig the radio in fast speed .i was rockin out and havin fun watchin your great artistry!.....thank you , i have been doing wire work but I`m slowly collecting what i need to transition to metal work! thanks i dig ur work !(O: have a good day!
Lisa, This was great. I took a class at Bead Fest in Philadelphia this past summer and forgot a few of the steps now that it is a couple months later. Thank you so much. BTW, Beautiful texture and love the balled wire you used.
Hi leslie! thank you for your video please can you tell me tip to not get the ring oppen (the soldered part) when you use the dopping pen? I tried many times to do it and the ring always breaks. thank you
you need to get a perfect join.. Use a miter Jig or a guillotine shear to make sure your cuts are perfectly straight. and use HARD solder on the seam..make sure you have no light to be see through the join before you solder it. practice making rings out of 18 or 20 g copper till you get it ! good luck!
Awesome video. I'm getting ready to *hopefully* stock a bench soon. What was that nifty tool thing-a-ma-bob with the lever and mandrel? I assume it was stretching the diameter a bit. What is it called and where does one get one? Thanks for posting this!

you are amazing! I wish I could take courses from you. Your work inspires me and makes me want to be as good as you! Thank you for this video. I have a long way to go, but it's people like you who don't mind sharing their skills to help teach people like me.

This is so awesome and you are very inspiring! I have a few questions. I want to learn how to do this but I'm a little apprehensive about the torch. Can I use a butane torch for this? Also, do you use dead soft silver? What information on the solder wire should I know? Do I need to use flux? Thanks so much!
Danielle Blakely Danielle! i'm so glad your inspired. Watch my videos on introduction to metalsmithing tools part 1 and 2. that twill show you the type of torches ETC. I roll out my own silver into sheet. it's not dead soft but you could use dead soft too. solder wire ..use Hard solder for the joins and i used med solder for the little ball on the spinner. Yes you need FLUX I use Prips Flux (google it) and put it in a spray bottle.
Great work!!! Thank you so very much for posting your videos. I am new to the Metalsmithing Arts and you have been so helpful. Thanks for passing your knowledge down. It is very much appreciated.
I know that the dapping punches are different sizes for different ring sizes but I still would like to know the sizes of the punches that you used.
