The skill it takes to play bass guitar and sing simultaneously is incredible
Best funk jazz……incredible drummer
I was just thinking the same thing. A guy that good is a real treasure, and usually greatly underappreciated.
His name is Peter Ray Biggin.
Monster drummer! Swings in a very musical way and killer fills!
Greetings Level 42 peeps from North London, British born Jamaican, 1980s Child who still Pumps up the Volume playing Level 42 and other Original 80s Bands, Real Music for Real People. Good Music is Like Fine Rum, Gets better with Time.
Absolutely stellar performance!!!.... but that audience. 🤦♂
Audience needs some Hot Water to get them going 🤣
@@AB-wr8vl That's what the band were giving them. 😀
The drummer is as impressive on drums as Mark is on the bass✌️
Drummer is fricn badass
That's Peter Ray Biggin hitting the skins for them, who undoubtedly is a great player in his own right.
Pete replaced their previous drummer Gary Husband for that tour due Husband's to unavailability at the time and he's been with the band ever since.
Agreed, 2 absolute geniuses.
The best! Plus, what an amazing drummer!
Drummer Peter Ray Biggin admits that he was heavily influenced by original 'Level 42' skinsman Phil Gould. One great musician praising another.
This band deserves way better, they’re one of my favourites!! 😉👍
@@danielpalmersofficial Do you mean greater success or a better drummer? I personally think Pete is an amazing player and he fits right in to their sound.
@@stephenalanmoore7278 They deserve more fans and yeah, Phil was there main drummer. 😀👍
@@danielpalmersofficial I couldn't agree more. As far as musicianship goes, Level 42 certainly put modern bands to shame and deserve to be much more successful than they are.
Wow, i follow them since 1980! I played them many times as a DJ, always LOVED this mix of Pop/Jazz/Funk! This video is as good as it gets: Very nice place, nice quality video and audio, a very good band able to play their song like champs, everything is in there! Kudos Level 42! The only sad thing, never had the chance to saw them live: They came very near me at "Festival d'été de Québec" in 2019 but couldn't go... just hope they'll come back sooner than later!
I love it when Pete's drums are set up sideways at the front of the stage. Mark spends the whole show smiling at him :D #bassanddrums
They are a tight machine! Incredible performances from each of them.
The disrespect for this group with this audience is an absolute disgrace. Bless these guys' hearts. Music is their life.
They react better to marching bands 😉
I agree, I would be making moves I didn't know I could do....
I don’t know if I could even be still for a second with this band in front of me! Wow. Wish I had been there - They(‘d) Say I was the Level Best fan in the audience!
It looks like the audience were all dead.
Insanely tight, and an extraterrestrial groove 👌
Legendary bass player and singer ❤
Incredible musicians, iconic songs, brilliant sound tuning. Defenetly a world class event!
Could be the best concert ever!
Level 42 is Running in my Family 😍 please come to Belgium 🤞🤞🤞
this is one of the bests shows i ever watched on youtube... come to Brazil, we love you guys!
The bass sounds really great and powerful in this performance!!!!!
pure energy⚡
Ooooh that's fabulous.
INDONESIA 🇮🇩 🇮🇩 HADIR....
42😍😘💞 🇮🇩
very nice love it! my kind of 🎺
still gives me chills...
Wow!!
Love it,pure analog vibe. WHAT A MUSICIAN !
What a band, seen them several times, sound amazing live, tops. Check out drummer Pete Ray Biggin, he played with Incognito at this same concert, what a drummer. Check out his band PBUG, great concert on here Jazzstage 2017 enjoy.
Saw them in the 80s before they were big. They were great.
An impeccable groove indeed.
Hot Love!
Tremendous
Not my favourite L42 track, that said what an excellent performance 👏
Which is your favourite, as there are so many timeless classics in their back catalogue to choose from?
@@stephenalanmoore7278 anything off the 42 album especially “43” “Man” and a big favourite “ the pursuit of accidents”
Ilove Level 42.........................................
Wow!! Thanks for uploading this show, i’d seen it many times on youtube before.. an outstanding one, a progressive/80s pop/jazz festival masterclass that you performed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
日本でライブ🎶🎸できたら最高ですね👍️
今年9月に来日しますよ!
ノリノリ🎶かっちょいい!😄
The time L42 played at the mannequin conference
Great performance of a great tune. But, ffs, the crowd. Had they been sedated?
Did they put glew on the chairs ? What happened to th audience ?
Corking
What is up with the crowd, they're absolutely dead. 🤔
that is Lugano, Switzerland. Zombies are much more lively then them.
They got hit from an UFO…of Funk !
Lugano: not really a 'Yeh Yeh' audience !
Talking about FUNK !
Level 42 didn't deserve such a bland audience!
I was in the place, there was no bland audience. Consider that is a free festival concert with many groups of jazz band
@@StefanoCasalinuovo But they look like immobile wax figures.
@@hitchhikersguide i agree
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
puede ser que hay una parte que es igual a un tema de Soda Stereo
Was this a Music Festival or a funeral? What is the matter with this crowd? yikes. Band is rockin it. super tight and 🦗
The audience looks like stones maybe if they were robots they Will be great 😂🤣🤘
is the audience frozen or something...?
You can tell Pete was newly on tour this year and not 100% confident with this particular track yet. he's on fire here: ua-cam.com/video/R5QKXn6Y8os/v-deo.html
damn this is such a nasty groove. Mark King's been my idol for years. Not many ,if any at all who can play like this and sing over it. Dead audience. They either are stiff and ungrateful or have no idea what they just experienced......or both
That crowd has no soul!
what's wrong with the audience????
That croud is ded.
An audience ? Crash test dummies
Love it!!
My favourite bassist ❤️
Stale crowd
