Hi, how do you use a serial port to send info to another device. what is the syntax to do so? Please me an example. I would like to send a message to send a command to set power parameters for a device though a serial port.
It's been 9 months, so hopefully you found the answer by now. :) If not, in Mach3 press TAB. That will bring up the MPG (Manual Pulse Generator) window on the right where you can set step/continuous movement, as well as speeds for it all. In addition it will show arrow keys at the bottom that allow you to move the machine that way.
Have been watching a lot of these tutorials, this channel is heads and shoulders above the rest.

make sure you its wired correct i had the same problem and fried the board
Watch the portion regarding outputs/spindles.
