Absolutely f...g amazing. Vietnam's topography is so diverse. I sort of chuckled at the end of the video when you thanked us, I can't speak for other viewers but it's I who should thank you for doing this and videoing it for us. It's hard enough to traverse the caves and stream but to video it too is difficult so much appreciated.
Being a Vietnamese living in the States I had no idea there's such thrilling, adrenaline pumping adventures exist in Vietnam. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures.
That is a very incredible experience. I had been living and working off and on in 17 years and most of those years were in Vietnam, but I did not have a chance to visit that cave yet. Thanks for showing it to us.
13:13 Cheveyo, my heart literally skipped a beat with that slip!!! I can't believe they don't clip you into something. In Sandals no less! This is like the ladders of Everest crossing between the glacier cracks.... This reminds me of the movie The Descent. Don't watch it before going to a cave please. That coral has to be several millions of years old from when Vietnam was under water. Insane!
I kept thinking about The Descent when we were there 😂 The guides had a surprising amount of faith that we could handle ourselves across those chasms. Completely unlike any tour any of us have been on. Vietnam is like the Wild West in some ways! 🤣
That was awesomeness! I love caves and tunnels but getting a bit old to crawl in the lower passages and scrunch over etc. I really enjoyed the tour via you guys. Thanks very much.
Gosh, this is a thrilling and fascinating trip through the caves! Yes, I guess you guys have learned to face and overcome your fears head on better with this experience. Thank you for your efforts to film under such conditions and share with us, who have yet to experience such adventure rides. Just like Indiana Jones, not knowing what to expect but having loads of fun! Well, keep them coming, ya?!
I binge watched so many of your videos lately and this is already the best ever. The beautiful shots in the cave looks like National Geog professional crew was there. This looks super fun, a perfect mix of totally freaked out but I survived and experienced something ultra unique
i love how you’ve taken ur dad along in ur adventures that’s really special. I lost my dad years ago so am so happy to seeu make happy memories with ur dad. Excellent vlog, fascinating caves. Thank you ❤️
We all have a limited amount of time in this life, so it has been incredible sharing these experiences with dad. I hope you have good memories with your father ❤️
Fantastic adventure!. Vietnam has sooooo much to offer, it really spoils you. Your dad is clearly having the adventure of a lifetime too it seems : ) Great you are taking some time to just chill as well. More coming your way too. Something to consider when you leave Vietnam is Laos. It too has some great stuff to see.
We feel very fortunate to be exploring Vietnam before it gets completely developed by/for tourism. Still feels a bit raw, in a good way. Laos is very intriguing. Are we right in thinking that it’s much less populated than other SEA countries? Looking at the maps, it’s pretty big and only 7m people…
@@OnePackWanderers Yes Laos is way less populated, more small villages ect. really only a few population centers. It is fairly large in terms of land mass, I only rode in the north north western part so far. Again great riding but need a bit more substantial bike, like a 250 if you are riding two up. I would say that Laos is more rustic, not dangerous if you pay attention, (they still have land mines) so stay in the approved areas. The people are great and lots of amazing things to see. Just like Vietnam is like Thailand 20 years ago, laos is like Vietnam 10 years ago. You two have really been upping your skills as adventure travelers and I think you would have no issues with Laos. Even if you just sort of high spot it with places like Luang Prabang, (already touristed but cool) Phonsavan (plain of jars, spooky and cool) Vangviang ( former backpack haven now more rave and party) but fun lol.. As is the case most of the country out side these enclaves is beautiful and locals are sweet. over all a bit harder core, not for newbies, but really worth doing in my opinion.
Coolest video about Phong Nha Ke Bang cave 🤟 And I must say that your dad is pretty cool to join such an adventurous trip with you guys. Hope you guys have many memorable experiences in Vietnam
Can you please send me the name of the tour company you used for the Phong Nha kayaking tour ? I will be there in March 2023 and want to do the exact tour you did. Thxs so much for your information.
Holy smoke! That was really something, after many days on the road or problem solving. And watching this on my desktop, I already can feel that that cave lunch must be super nice. Not because of what was in it, but because of where you were. Awesome!!!
Just watched the video again with a friend it's definitely your best video yet and it's amazing too see how they have improved as you go along. After the travels you can make documentaries. Absolutely stunning

My dad said it was even more beautiful before the war. Imagine all the bombs that were dropped on beautiful Vietnam (more bombs than in WWII). I'm sad by all the historical stuff lost, like the Cham ruins and all the beautiful architecture.
So the owner of our home stay arranged everything. The guides were wearing shirts that said, ‘Phong Nha Kayaking’. Sorry we can’t be more helpful than that. If you stay at Green River Cosy Home Stay, the woman that runs it, Lynn, is absolutely awesome and she’ll help you out with the perfect tour.
There are two more caves which are called Dark cave and Thiên Đường (heaven) cave (Dry cave). I have traveled there once and it's absolutely stunning. In Dark Cave, there will be even more activities for you guys to explore. I think both of them are around 30mins drive from Phong Nha cave. Hope you guys come back and explore it one day. There is also Son Dong cave which I haven't been to but have heard a lot about it. Enjoys the trip guys. Amazing video as always

Next up, Son Dong cave. Largest and longest in the world. I hear it takes 2 weeks to go thru and training alone takes 6 months. Has its own biodiversity, flowing rivers and the largest part can fit a 40 stories building half a mile long.

Not sure of the name of the tour. Lynn, the owner of our homestay, arranged it all. The homestay is called 'Green River Cozy' and I'd highly recommend at least stopping by to talk to Lynn. She's passionate about caving, and she's brilliant. There's a huge range of tours in Phong Nha, and having someone to help navigate them was invaluable.

Getting into Laos, we only needed passports and $40 USD per person. On paper, full vaccination (2+ doses) is also required but nobody asked. Getting back into Vietnam, you need a valid e-visa and of course your passport again. No Covid requirements.
Great upload & a truly amazing experience. The only thing in my mind when watching it was thinking how dangerous the rickety little bridge and crossing the rushing river holding onto the rope looked. It was just as we showed it. No safety railings or anything like that 😅 Lots of huge drops and the river part was not exaggerated at all. Only safety stuff was the occasional rope for climbing and the rusty ladders laid across gaps. When we first got to those parts, we all had to sort of mentally adjust to it. So different from what you’d expect on a tour, but so much fun!

I really wanna go here! Looks like y'all spinning out of control caus your boats are missing fins lol.
Yep no fins at all 😂
♥️
What a buzz! Maybe a bit scary for me🥺🥺🥺
It was a bit scary at times, definitely
❤❤❤
I have claustrophobia so no way I’m going into those caves without a panic attack 😬
It’s good you know your limits! One girl on the tour with us really struggled with some of it.
Are you going do the sandbag ? hey that is a totally legit question , it cannot get any better than being covered with sand in a pitched black darkness cave 😂😂😂
It felt really strange, but also nice!
@@OnePackWanderers i feel so blessed seeing both of you , both of you blessed me , stay safe and keep on smiling , i loved it totally
17:35 There is hot spring sand bath in Kyushu, Japan. At the very south of Kyushu, in the coast town Ibusuki. "Ibusuki Sand steamed hot spring 指宿 砂むし温泉" ♨♨
is there a lot of spiders?:O
I have a question.....what happens if someone needs to go to the toilet while in the cave?
The river was flowing pretty fast 😅

Do you know what Cham people are? They are Moslim people.
Not the ones in Vietnam. They practice Hinduism whereas the Cham people in Cambodia practice mostly Islam.
If I'm not mistaken, Cham in Cambodia came from Vietnam when the Vietnamese took their land.
Hey, don't be making fun of us "old and decrepit " types.
Hahaha we all end up the same 😅
Did you guys get to experience the celebrating atmosphere on the street as Vietnam soccer team won the gold medal at SEA Games 31 a couple of days ago?
They busy driving on the road and nobody else besides people in vietnam care about it. Its not like vietnam can win the world cup 😂. They never ever will in their life time
@@JohnT2088 Funny how just a question to check on them can trigger a mean Vietnamese who has nothing to do with that question. LOL.
@@VietNguyenDuc2710 Exactly. The fact that the people crowded the streets in celebration without shooting, fighting, rioting, looting, is a testament to the rest of the world how Viets are. It was amazing to watch all the people celebrating and the electric atmosphere it created.
