Damian Lillard! Was a steal
Yep
blasé nets could have drafted him if they didn't trade that pick. but that's all they do is trade away their first rounders ha
Maricela Campos if the blazers didn't draft dame, GS would have. Thank god that didn't happen Bcuz they would've had 6 sharpshooters
777/247 I was just saying this Lilard was a str8 steal. Deon waiters has a chance to be good he was starting to look like a bust. In I feel bad that Thomas Robinson didn’t workout.
Ethan if the Blazers didn’t draft Lillard, it would’ve been Toronto. The Warriors had their sights set on MKG or Harrison Barnes because they needed a SF, and Barnes was the number 1 player in his HS class and a consensus top 5 pick that fell out of the top 5. GS had a backcourt already, David Lee was a borderline all-star, and they just traded for Bogut, they needed a sf. Toronto desperately needed a pg and they hadn’t traded for Lowry yet. I remember at the time Toronto was looking to trade down to take Kendall Marshall, but they decided to bank on Ross’s potential.
1st pick 6:07
2nd pick 12:27
3rd pick 16:23
Fourth pick 22:49
Fifth pick 28:42
Sixth pick 34:16
Thanks
Bro gave up 💀💀💀
Love watching these old drafts for nostalgia...used to vhs them back in late 90s
39:25 “Warriors: 1 Playoff appearance in last 18 seasons”
Man the league was so different then
“You hug mom you hug dad then you hug me. Let the camera see my face”
lol
I remember this draft as a 17 year old and as a guy from Toronto I appreciate the TSN logo during this draft broadcast
R.I.P Fab Melo
RIP
R.I.P.
I don't know why the Bobcats didn't drafted Bradley Beal, he was a perfect fit for a 7 wins team that already have their point guard of the future (back in 2012).
Not to mention MKG did literally nothing in college to warrant a top 10 pick
He (mkg) wasnt a great defender, wasnt a scorer either inside or outside, wasnt a passer. He was just a rebounder and energy guy. Why he was the 2nd pick in any draft is beyond me
@@AdamKlownzingerThat's not true, he was absolutely seen as great defender from positions 1-4. Everybody had him 2-5 because he was the ultimate competitor in high school and then college.
2025 anyone?
I’m here because the Hornets gave up on Michael Kidd-Gilchrist... I thought he would have a great career coming into the draft
Injury screw him
Indeed, injury screw him.
But I also don’t think he deserved that draft spot. Yes he was a good athlete and a solid defender but he didn’t show it on a stat sheet and obviously was an offensive non-factor at best and a liability at worst. Late lottery wouldve made more sense
@@AdamKlownzinger he couldn't shoot for shit
They didn't really give up on him. He was good to start his career, and he was there 8 years. He was just injured all the time.
Best 2nd round draft hands down
Because of the GOAT Robert Sacre
4:29 ain't nobody wanna play in no smoothie king center
He a champ now
RIP Stern
I was jumping up and down when the Pistons picked Drummond. He was slept on that whole draft
Andrew Wilder He turned out to be a great player, but I didn't see much future on that guy... He only averaged 7 rebounds and had no offensive game at all, under 30 % free throw shooter... What so ever, now he is a damn All Star!
Drummond was a freshman after all....guys get better but he never figured out how to shoot fts lol..even shaq wilt d hoard heck even andries biedrins desagna diop and ben wallace managed to have 2 seasons avg over 50% fts and seemed to figured it out...deandre jordana and Drummond have both never really figured out how to shoot fts ever...its a damn shame...for 2 all star centers...they are the 2 worst ft shooters in nba history
Now he get traded to the cavs for bums and a second rounder
@@g17yt99 and now he's a laker!!!
Khris Middleton went so late...this dude was a monster in the playoffs this year
And the finals
Thank god Dumars didn't pick Austin Rivers. Imagine if NOLA got Drummond and Davis though, that would've been crazy.
Musicizmyremedy I'm glad too. It was the best thing he did since that Iverson trade that changed EVERYTHING!!
They are in the Lakers now!!!
Damn imagine if cavs had pulled that trade off for beal instead of drafting waiters
Team would’ve been elite
just checking palenka at drummond on this draft nite
love AD on the lakers lol 2020 baby
imagen if Dame went to brooklyn
They really gave david the warm welcome hahaha
Why did they boo stern
Anthony Davis Sr. Staying in your child life can results in an All Star son. Bless all the single mother's and grandmothers who have raised kings and queens
Charlotte could have beal or lillard and they picked fucking kidd-gilchrist
Who else is watching this in 2017?😂
Young Cavalier Man
Me
I'M watching it right now
2018
2019
Cavs shoulda took derrick William at #1 Tristan was perfect at #4 and Anthony Benet #1 the following year was a really nice pick.. I pray they pick liangelo ball with that Brooklyn pick.. go Cavs!.
Would have been the best meme squad ever
You joking right
Man Cleveland could have got lillard? And lakers could have gotten Tatum. Amazing tandem with Irving and lebron sidekicks would of helped him win maybe couple more championships
Now AD a champion🔥
He was recently played for the Lakers 💜💛 yeah he had won a championship.
bubble ring
Ive got one question for anthony david... Did He Love It😂 only funny people will remember this
I was so pissed Portland picked Lillard over Harrison. Stupid me
Worst draft pick for Charlotte ever Kidd-Gilchrist
Forgot Dion was a top 5 pick
Cavs could of have.
2011 KYRIE, KLAY OR KAWHI
2012 LILLARD AND DRAYMOND.
2013 GIANNIS
Anthony Davis just got traded. Is Bradley Beal next? 🤔
One year later Ad Won a Chip

2:15 to 2:25 - the highlight of this clip
Did he change his UA-cam name? Wasn't it Zac Collins?
there's a lot of hits and misses in this draft hits Anthony Davis, Beal Andre Drummond, Damen Lillard and Harrison Barnes misses Michael kidd-gillcrest (sorry for my spelling) Austin rivers, Tyler zeller, Royce white.
I guess Harrison Barnes was a hit. Michael kidd is pretty solid.
Antbeast23 not a second pick though
Alberto Mahía ok?
mkg over beal mistake....zeller over Drummond mistake...lilard at 10
Rivers and Zeller aren't misses persay, they both contributed to playoff squads
AD 🥺
isnt he 6 foot 9 now?
Duje Dujeduje 6 10
Duje Dujeduje yeah and injury prone as fuck
Who here from 2018?
Zac Collin put 2008 draft on
2019 squaaaaa?
Vazkor 2020 !!!!!
Have you ever seen your brother cry why would you ask her that 😅
What We Know Now 2017:
1. Anthony Davis
2. Damian Lilliard
3. Bradley Beal
4. Draymond Green
5. Andre Drummond
6. Dion Waiters
7. Harrison Barnes
8. Evan Fournier
9. Jae Crowder
10. Khris Middleton
LOL barnes and middleton would not go lower than waiters
Only one i would agree with is probably Middleton but the Heat are winning games because of Dion, I don't really like him as a player overall but he's playing better than Middleton on consistency and Harrison Barnes is one of those guys that was good because of the system he was playing in.
swap drummond and beal
Middleton is 4
Lmao waiters was trash
Why does everyone boo him? I know like nothing about stern
Cause he vetoed the lakers pick 😡😡
It wasn't a hateful boo it was a funny boo fans always do it and stern loved it more of them just playing with each other
+Jack J ahahaha now we do... We'll be back ;)
PickledKhan cuz he's a piece of crap
Because of the rigged draft. 2012 was rigged because new orleans had to sell the team. When they found out hornets was 1st pick they booed because anothony davis was wearing a hornets hat 2 weeks prior to the draft. So they sold the team and also got maximum profit. Thats suspicious
broussard said Davis is the type of player people will want to play with.
4 or 5 years later.. He playing with scrubs and injury prone :/
Jack J he has boogie now. And is a beast
Jrue Holiday is amazing tho
its more like no one wants to live in new orleans
Who the fuck is michael kidd ghilchrist?
So many busts in the top 10 😂
+Zac Collin
34:27
Such bullshit that Charlotte didn't get the first pick.
never heard of number 2
mkg the 2nd pick in the 2012 Anthony davis draft was his freshman Kentucky teammate on the title team 2nd leading scorer on that team and is still a top 3-4 player on the bobcats..hes an average role player...about 11 ppg 5 rebs a game and a career 10 and 5 guy..just like his college freshman season.....hes not amazing but he wasn't a bust.he still starts 5 years later an did only 24 so like davis he can improve still...people thought he was the next harden.great wing...he can't shoot but hes great at defense ...
Max Aim he had good defence, but in general is a bust.
mkg at 2 and dion at 4 😂
and thomas robinson at 5 lmfao wow these scouts were wrong
I would never play for a Commiefornia team the taxes are insane..............
Who the hell is Thomas Robinson
He played amazing during his junior year, that's why he was drafted that high. Not to mention that his mother, grandfather and grandmother all died in the same month so clearly he got motivated.
Who is Thomas Robinson 😂😂😂
Donny McClure That's my nigga bro he got a crazy story... Look him up my guy
Donny McClure u a lil kid
Suh dude
Wow Cavs could've had Damian Lillard and Kyrie 😫
Hippozrcool uh that wouldn't work...
Hippozrcool That would not work at all. Lillard is a way better player and they are both ball lovers.
Hippozrcool they are both point guards.
Retro Apple I’m late but nigga said lillard better than Kyrie lmao
Wouldn’t work they would have got destroyed at the time plus both are point guards so they was not thinking that when they needed a 2
exactly 20000 views lol
