Very informative! It's amazing to hear from a Judge's point of view. My husband is currently in a state facility however, any education is greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊 I found you through your interview with Adam Clausen, I've been a follower of Ro's channel for a few years now. Happy that I found you.

Thank you for commenting. I am so glad you are a part of our community! I, too, have followed Ro and Adam for a long time. Their story is incredibly inspiring. I’d love to send your husband one of Michael Santos‘s books. Please send me an email with his contact information and I will send him the book. My email address is Support@WhiteCollarAdvice.com.

100% agree with you. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer) conference in 2018. He was very genuine and spoke at length about the need for effective re entry programs in prison.

I didn't know that Herman Munster went to law school!
Seriously, this is a man of high intellect (as was Fred Gwynn) and strong character, integrity, and extraordinary decency.
    (as Herman Munster was!)

I’m watching all your videos. And going to your podcast, and getting the books you offer and already got Michael’s book and listened to it, the one that is available on audible.

This was incredible. I know that the State and the defendant are adversarial by nature, but it makes so much sense for the person about to go to prison to reach out to the State and begin to start paying your debt to society after a guilty verdict. At that point it seems like if you're genuine, it can only help you.

“Nuts and bolts of the work must come from the defendant. Pretty clear what it takes to get a better sentence!!

Totally agree it’s pretty clear. Whether defendants take the advice is a different issue.

The main problem I see with this judge and his approach to sentencing is the EXPECTATION that a defendant in front of him/her has to have very significant communication, presentation and Socratic skills, in order to help themselves.
Many defendants do not have these qualities and abilities. And it is obvious that they will be PUNISHED for that.
