My two childhood heroes were Zorn and Largent. It's so cool to see that they are really great guys and still best friends. Kids need good heroes and I'm thankful that I chose these two!
That playoff win in Miami in the old Orange Bowl was magic. I was 14 back then, and had been following the team since '77, full fledged fan by '79. Jim Zorn even responded to my fan letter w a prefix response, along w autographing all the Sport Magazine (long now defunct) pics I'd cut out. Still have it to this day 40 yrs later. Go Hawks.
I was 14 at the time we played at Miami in December of '83 as well! The 1st & only Seahawks playoff road victory for the next 29 years till the 2012 victory at Washington
I was lucky enough to grow up remembering the Zorn to Largent combo...Such class acts, these Seahawks Stories are fantastic. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Go Hawks!!
As a kid that grew up watching football and playing it in a small town east of Seattle..see Leavenworth.. Then going on to be a forester graduate of the U oF W..1974.. I just could not really believe we had our own team.. I move to the east Coast in 1975 but I hung on to the Seahawks.. I was bred as a raider fan cause nothing else was close.. the 49ers were losers back then.. so I love the raiders and Steelers..all afc teams.. but still the Seahawks were my instant favorite finally.. I am sure so many loved this pair..they rewrote many records and for me it’s was the best.. These two gave us all goose bumps for what they did on and off the field.. thx guys .. so many will never forget you and the joy we all had back then.. 😁😍👍☺️
One of the BEST *quarterback to wide-receiver* duos, in the later part of the 70's, going into the 80's... It was sad how quickly Zorn's game declined going into the early 80's... Plus, once Dave Krieg became the Seahawks permanent starter, he had developed his own unique connection to Largent. Now Krieg did have this tendency to hang the ball up in the air, on slant routes which crossed the middle... and Largent took his fair share of nasty, cheap shot hits, because of that... Other than that issue, it was always clear as to why the team started seeing more success with Krieg under center (I am not saying he was the only reason, merely 1/5 the reason for the success in the 80's).
" How did Steve Largent get so wide open?" Cause that's what Steve does. I always heard that Largent may not have been the fastest man on the field, but he was the quickest. The man was a Master at running routes.
Easily one of my favorite QB-WR combos of all time.

Unbelievable men. Proud to be a Hawks fan
As a proud Broncos' fan, I miss the old AFC West. That rivalry with the Seahawks was great. Those games in the Kingdome were always really tough.

I was there

Very lucky to have had Zorn to Largent during the early days of the Hawks! The Kingdome rocked! Loved that era more than all the rest!
I can only imagine being one of the people waking past while this is happening. Two kings of the Pacific Northwest.

Same age as these two. Watching the old clips makes me feel old. Haha
Remember Eferen Herrera?
The 'fake out' kicker?
What an awesome video! As a kid, I was very sad when Jim Zorn was replaced by Dave Krieg. Playing backyard football with my friends, I WAS Zorn :)
Are you a lefty too?
@@Seahawks sadly no but my mom is if that counts :)
@@socrates0603 😂👍
@@socrates0603 that counts!
Another wonderful video! The Largent-Zorn tapes are just incredible and it's even better that these two are such swell guys. Love it. GO HAWKS!
So sad that I didn't get to see these guys play. Though Largent became my 5th Hawks jersey
these guys were so fun to watch! still remember losing my hearing as a kid when the adults in my family would scream during a game
I made VHS recordings of these guys from the beginning. So good to see them and great to know they have this ever lasting friendship.
As a Broncos fan, I really miss the old AFC West. That rivalry with the Seahwaks was great, and those games in the Kingdome were always intense.
Yeah! Seahawks are fantastic

Really enjoyed this. The Raiders were my intro to NFL but soon fell in love with young, exciting Seahawks. Love watching these guys back in the day.
Talk about vintage memories. They should be great Hall of Famers!
Steve is HOF
Jim Zorn was my favorite player when I was in high school. I got to meet him at a road game in KC my Junior year. Man, I loved the Seahawks back then.

Largent, always wide open 👊🏽 #GoHawks
This is how became a Seahawks fan! Zorn to Largent!
Great Seahawks. Loved seeing DK pay homage to Steve Largent on opening weekend.

I would say the wilson-Lockett connection is the remake of the zorn-largent connection.
Zorn & Largent in a '71 bug arriving at the Kingdome before a game @ 11:20...priceless. Bosworth....
Wow - look at those pups at 7:17
I dont know how many times that I said 'Zorn to Largent' when I would pretend play when I was 10 years old.
Y’all got the rare highlights and film in this !! Release some more and or full games please.
How lucky they played for the SEAHAWKS. Dynamic duo 🔥🔥🔥🔥
TY, SeaFam! ♡☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆♡
Awesome, thx for this!!
Andy Sandell (RIP) and I were the first electricians to build Carillion Point!!
Legends.
Sure is nice to hear the voice of Pete Gross.
Well done vIdeo of a couple of Seahawk legends. Sucks that XFL is dead (or on hold) as it would be awesome to see Zorn as head coach of Sea Dragons.
Largent : no stick em , no special gloves , just great hands.

No water during training camp... how did anyone even survive?
steves like 7-11, always open
I can remember that strike season. Largent said f-it..
Let's play! ...
Largent had like 6 catches for 220 yards in the 1st half. Lol
And 3 td's!
Jayne Kennedy was fiiiine!
Whos the Reporter??
1 downvote... Must be a Raiders fan.
Probably a Broncos fan.
The early days of HBO Sports.
Just wondering, what nationality is Zorn???
