- Tallanstown village is situated 4.5 miles north of Ardee Town and 8.9 miles south west of Dundalk, in the smallest County of Ireland, Louth. They won the All Ireland Tidy Towns Award in 2010, along with other numerous awards for the up keep of their picturesque Village.
It has a population of 674.

I’m sending this to a lip reader …I want to know every last word of that rant.😅 Loved your tour of Tallanstown…a lovely quaint village. The lights on the old bridge…the school…sculpture…poem…and beautiful river…and winter stillness ❤
I live in a mountain community in California…4000’ altitude. We are at ground zero for climate change! We have been in a chronic drought for 23 years and continue to get hotter and drier! When I moved here about 30 years ago, air conditioners weren’t needed…now they are a necessity. This winter we are having some blessed rain and we savor every drop. Lawns here are a thing of the past 😢 The drought is spreading east and as far north as Montana. Recently, a community of about 1000 people scattered in the desert of Arizona ran out of water. It had been trucked in from Phoenix for some years but the service was discontinued. It is estimated that over 100 million trees are dead in California due to disease caused by the drought. Our wildfire season is now year round. I would trade you Ireland’s climate for this one in a heart beat ❤ I could go on but I’ll end this rant😮for now.
