An excellent restoration. After "Greed" had been a hit for the new MGM in 1924, the new studio came back with two monster hits in 1925-26: "Ben-Hur" and "The Big Parade", which established it as the new premier studio, moving aside Paramount. John Gilbert would be a major star in the silent era, but his voice didn't match what people though it should be, and he soon failed.
