For every map that you finish, you get performance points. Depending on how hard the map is, and how well you performed, you get more performance points. The more performance points you have, the higher the rank. I think that's a clean explanation

Good on you for not really caring that you missed a lot and just knowing that it was out of your control, and that your classmates don't even know what they are watching, but knowing they still probably thought it was impressive. If I had this opportunity I'd be crushed mentally if I missed once.
every Friday my Study Block teacher have this thing called “Level Up Friday” it for sharing what you do, so this kid just start playing a game called quaver similar to osu!mania and start flexing. I ofc also flexing my osu! rhythm gamer skill.
That game is available on Steam for free for those who don't know, and it's like Osu!Mania but ten times better. Featuring in-game map download (that you don't have to pay for), beatmap preview directly on the song selection menu and you can even skip to certain parts of the song to playtest it while still on the song selection menu, HT and DT are actually really Half-time (0.5 speed) and Double-time (2.0 speed) and you can change the speed on intervals of 0.05 for better or easier scores. It's HP system is much less forgiving since you can lose HP just by getting shit acc instead of having to miss. It even has the unstable rate bar to show up under the combo numbers to give you an idea of whether you're tapping too early or too late (certainly more helpful than only displaying "perfect, good, okay, bad"). And last but not least, there's an option to pick how lenient you want the timing system to be, which is perfect if you're trying to train your acc but still pass the song.
@@dinopkm Uhh... no. I just got a bit carried away when trying to recommend the game to others.
