That first access looks a lot like the canoe access where Lebanon Road crosses Mill Creek. That creek has 4 or 5 of those accesses. They were built by volunteers from Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA). I’ve been a member for many years. Good organization that promotes river conservation, paddling skills, and river access.
Mill Creek is awesome all down it to all the way to nolensville TN. Gar and bass to large small mouth. Kayak is the best way to fish it but like all creeks in Tennessee. Are the best places to fish.
its sad a company fenced up the lower TSRA access point on Whites Creek. Its very hard to fish it now. Hoping something can be done, since it doesnt even seem like they own all the property they built fence on.
A fine video; your best yet. I felt like I was right beside you talking and enjoying the experience. I'll be watching several times again and have more comments later. And thank you for taking me fishing this morning.
This was awesome because it was informative and fun. Sounds simple, but so much goes into making a good video and you always hit it on every level. Thank you!
Creek Fishing Adventures, keep the great videos coming! We actually drove through Little Nashville, Indiana today looking for a place to fish and put on our channel. Lol! Keep doin what you do!
Man, ever since I switched to hellgrammites I can't stop slaying smallmouth. Most tackle stores can't keep them in stock with how fast they sell out lol
Why did I enjoy this video? I enjoyed it because reality is that not every fishing trip is going to produce fish rewards, but the beauty is enjoyable. Thanks for the video.
i grew up fishing the Stones around murfreesboro. its a great river with a lot of variety. theres shallow parts with good smallmouth, and bigger deeper parts too. still one of my favorite places to fish.
I've just been watching a lot of creek fishing videos lately and stumbled on this channel. I also live in middle Tennessee. Close to the Kentucky line. Been hunting for good creeks to fish.
Drive out to Smyrna, TN there’s a back road behind the Nissan plant has a huge river flow and plenty of spots to fish from the bank. It’s it’s down the street from a tackle and bait shop as well in that back road, good luck.
This is exactly what I try to do lol, look for bridges going over bodies of water. I found a nice place in Jasper, TN on the Sequatchie River a couple of weeks ago that I liked pretty good. Easy access, but didn't seem to be fished very much. Great video :)
4:30. Little story. About 1990. Was going to a small river off I95 near New Haven, CT. Pulled off highway. Saw an old Lincoln Continental parked off the highway. Looked like it had brush, sticks on it for camo? Weird. Walked into woods near where I fished. Saw an "encampment". A group of people actually looked like they were living by the creek. Permanently. Even had laundry hanging off a makeshift clothesline. I was carrying but I still got the heck out of there before they spotted me.
I'm not sure if you were in the Stones River, but according to my Tennessee fishing guide the Stones River is where the Tennessee record Rock bass (Redeye)was caught in 1958 by Bill Sanford. It weighed 2 pounds, 8 oz. The reason I mentioned that is because you often catch Rock bass in other creeks. I catch them quite often, and three weeks ago I hooked into one that was 11-1/8th inches long. I caught it on a Hellgrammite as well. Good video John.
Next time youre in Nashville check out Sycamore creek. It runs into the cumberland with miles of wadable water and i regularly catch 2 plus pounders from it. Travel a bit west to a town called Dickson and theres Lick creek which holds plenty of nice smallies and buckets! Love the videos keep em coming!
I got excited when I seen the title lol back in my hometown. I’ll drop a few pins and send them to you so you’ll have a few areas to check out next time you go back to Nashville.
Stewarts creek in the middle of Smyrna. Park somewere on S. Lowry and just hit the creek. Some deep holes but for the most part you can walk all of it til you come up on Smyrna golf course. Gets deep.
You should definitely be sponsored by Nikko Hellgrammite since it is your go to lure! I tell everyone I work with that fish for bass about the hellgrammite because of your vids. 👍
I’m new to your channel, glad I found it. I’m a few hours south of you in Atlanta. Was curious if you had ever fished an hour and 1/2 south of me on any of the creeks or tributaries of the Flint River. The Shoal Bass fishing is a blast. My favorite spot was along Potato Creek south of Thomason. Doesn’t look like you have a storage of spots to fish, but in case you were getting bored with Smallmouth, or were in central Georgia and had a few hours to kill. Felt bottom boots, an ultralight, broken back Rapala, and a crawdad jig and you’re in business. (Very rocky, boulder style fishing)
I live in Kentucky I would love to come that way and fish with you sometime Ive been finding creeks in Kentucky the same way for years it's my favorite type of fishing.
Well Brother, if that doesn’t make you homesick nothing will, lol. You live in a very “fishable” area, enjoy it. I went this morning myself, had the same issue. Can’t kill’um every day. BUT THERE’S ALWAYS TOMORROW!!
I just got back from a tidal river/creek I fish. Results for three hours: A torn up body from prickers, the taste of OFF in my mouth. Sweaty and dirty. I caught a largemouth of about 5" and a striper about 9" in the same spot. Saw some blue crabs and a small snapping turtle. Had a good time none the less.
Same. Just tried out a new spot behind my buddy’s house that was absolutely jumping with Gar. I didn’t even know gar were really in the harpeth, but it was awesome
MusicCity Fisherman I had no idea how to deal with them, I’m heading out again today to try my luck with that rope fishing technique I’ve heard about. Or maybe I’ll try small hooks. I don’t know, I’ve only just started fishing this year so most of my fishing experience is just trial and error haha
wading is the best strategy - you took a marginal day and got some base hits - the shiner is example of perfect bait - put a tiny snap swivel on and you can change up quick #corked bat

A tip I would give about creek fishing is to fish upstream instead of down. The reason is that fish in creeks tend to face upstream and wait for prey to be washed past them. By fishing upstream you are less likely to spook fish before you get a chance to cast a lure over them.
Love your videos. Keep up the great work. Always fun to watch. Thinking about doing some fishing videos here in PA. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Take care

Marcos Gonzales heard they got some fresh carne asadas back there too.
Looks like your fishing mill Creek I grew up fishing that Creek. 11 yrs ago I caught a 5.9 oz small mouth fun fun fun
I hate losing lures. I'm cheap lol. I think it is because I grew up poor and lures were hard to come by. Stays with me even till today.
that's why creek wading and fishing small creeks rocks in the summer and fall. Just go fetch it.

@@monmixer The creeks in my neck of the woods have really soft, mucky bottoms. The western part of my state is the opposite. It sits on bedrock.
