this one was the best interview. you did a good job spilo. i like that aaron mentioned their philosophy in earlier overwatch where they wanted more more separation between attacking and defending side. that was the best part.
As a 5v5 only player OW Classic has solidified that 6v6 is better to me. Sure the balancing is terrible, but the comps are amazing. I've played more tank in classic on the first day than I have normally in 5v5. It's been a blast.
balance is terrible because is the launch state of ow before they implemented any balance, and yet is a lot better than 5vs5, i love how tanks are killable and the whole match isnt dependant on them
The launch state of the game was wild, but by the end of ow1s life, other than double barrier, I found that state of the game to be pretty close to perfect. It's not perfect, but it's more fun. And fun matters more to me at least.
@@yukioacumora4430 I agree, I remember a patch it was either fall 2020 or 2021 but it felt the most balanced ow1 had ever been in the 222 era before they decided to change things up in a bad way (not ow2 launch just bad patch notes in 6v6)
In terms of insight to game design this is better than a vast majority of the GDC talks I've, especially on competitive game design. Everyone's knowledge really shows letting the conversation flow really well, fantastic interview!
In all seriousness. Queue times is definitely an important topic. One big thing I've noticed with OW Classic especially is how insanely fast you can queue into a game. Ofc really extreme ends of comp will still have big queue times but NO ONE wants to be waiting in queue for a long time.
I think if it ever does become a problem they can lower parameters. Sure it’ll affect match quality on the low and high end but it’s a worse case scenario thing. If it gets bad enough they can fully remove hidden mmr and just have ranked based matchmaking
10:30 really appreciate the Team evaluating the decision on the order of tests, they clearly are tapped into the creator space now listening to the feedback of the people that have been here SINCE classic. This team doesn’t get enough credit for coming around. The community has no patience left which I also understand, however that shouldn’t take away for the people showing up with the passion in their hearts to deliver, to the best of their ability, a better experience. Despite all the big corpo red tape they still have to hurdle, I appreciate the new sense of transparency. Lets make a great game!
Classic overwatch makes me realize the argument of "Things die faster" for 6v6 is mind blowingly accurate. The devs say that 5v5 feels like you can have much higher individual impact on games, but I feel the complete opposite after seeing it for myself again after all these years
To be fair, a lot of that feeling is also because launch overwatch was crazy different with squishier targets. The proper 6v6 won't feel THAT different, probably more of a middle ground between the two depending on how people group, flank, and focus targets throughout a fight.
the argument of developers to justify 5vs5 is stupid, is a team based game jesus christ, individual impact shouldnt be a priority, and tanks are unkillable
@@verguco6051EXACTLY it’s meant to be competitive and team based and also shooting at a giga tank and their team through the healing and denial abilities gives you less impact, you have to do so much damage to secure an elim it feels terrible
@@Jeremy_-eu4cshaven't seen a lot of teamwork in that mode tbh. That's just my experience, ofc, and obviously people are just messing around in arcade, but in 90% of the games 1 or 2 good dps just control the lobby while others are allowed to spectate. Grouping up on point when your widow kills everything that attempts to come closer does not sound like a lot of teamwork nor genius 300 IQ tactics to me. And since everyone is super fragile, it feels impossible to flank. The risk and reward heavily tips to the defender's side. Tanks are useless since they're too slow to contest offense/defense heros, and supports are a pure decoration. But yeah, it's kinda competitive, feels like counter strike or call of duty.
Keep in mind, there is also less healers in this version. Don't get me wrong, I'm a 6v6 preacher, but this also shows to me how when you remove a lot of the bullshit sustain and "You can't die!" Immortality ans super burst heal abilities, thr game plays immediately better. It's wild to me that people can flank and pop ult in this mode, and thibgs ***immediately*** happen. No lamp to bust through, no heal burst to take away what could have been an elem, no yanking someone you dropped on half way across the map, no two minute slogs of everyone dumping damage into everyone but Noone is dying because both teams supports are on point and have giga healing numbers It's awesome.
This is the single best interview in Overwatch's history, and Classic has been the first time in years I'm logging off because I'm out of time, and not because I'm pissed at the atrocious balance.

I'm curious, if you could pin-point what you hate about playing arcade or quickly, what would you say is your biggest gripe? Do you just like competitive?
ngl the future of ow is kind of in the balance with the tests. In a 'perfect' world I'd want both 5v5 and 6v6 to exist, but that then comes with other problems like having to balance characters, would they need a new team or extra staff members to help the 6v6 balancing etc. We'll just have to find out when the 6v6 happens, but it's somewhat exciting!
they know 5v5 is a disaster cause the game was designed from the ground up (and balanced) over the years around 6v6, they just dont wanna admit this 5v5 version is trash, i think its ego
@@thatguybun Such a bad take, 5v5 gives far more individual player agency and freedom for DPS/Supports. The only role suffering significantly are tanks.
29:55 thing is this is what 6v6 with 2 tanks solves that issue of “less space” the tanks are supposed to work together to create that space for windows of opportunity to allow the dps and support to take off angles to allow playmaking so they can do their job more efficiently and effectively that’s what tanking in 6v6 is all about
I'm glad they're thinking about recurring historical events. It's always fun to go back and compare then and now. I had a blast yesterday playing old Bastion.
My first game of classic was kings row. 2 of my tm8s picked rein so I asked in all chat “6v6 rein battle?” And chaos ensued to a full game and us barely losing on attack at 3rd point 😂 some guy on the other team got potg with a full team shatter as well
I’ll still never understand why no one talks about the fact we tested 5v5 and 7v7 on the experimental card in ow1 and I remember in the 5v5 one they tried to give zarya mass bubble and road hog an aoe vape to make up for the 1 less tank and yet we still went to overwatch 2 with 0 upgrades to the tanks for team play and just simply made them tankier for themselves
This is the one thing I constantly say. The tanks in OW2 are just juiced up DPS. Nearly none of them have actually (direct) team aiding abilities, apart from a shield. Balancing aside, as it might be not bad right now, the concept or philosophy behind tanks in OW2 is pain bad.

Hearing that most of the team internally is looking forward to 6v6 role queue above all the other upcoming events is such a relief. As someone who's an OW 2 only, I played a lot of the 6v6 code to get my own genuine opinion, and coming away from it I realised that 5v5 just feels so diluted in terms of gameplay compared to 6v6 outside of some support agency (which would definitely be addressed like they said). It was worth sticking to the very end just for that.
What a great interview, it's no wonder they gave you this kinda opportunity again because you run these very well. As someone who likes talking game design this was JUICY and I loved hearing their insights and perspectives into things. I'm excited with how communicative, receptive, responsive, and experimental the dev team has been. I would LOVE for them to do another interview with you sometime, especially maybe even as or after the 6v6 tests to get some more insight on how they interpret the results of these tests. A big theme for all these tests and Classic to me is the question of "What do we want Overwatch 2 to be?" and I loved hearing their angle and perspectives on that. Classic gauges people's appetite for sharper design as opposed to OW2's more well-rounded approach, Kingmaker is a facinating concept to think about and I'm excited to see how it tests the way agency and compensation in which role is buffed balances out the added pressure and stress doing it solo adds, excited to see how 2/2/2 impacts the way each role plays together and has to approach a match as they talked about here, and very intrigued by how min 1 max 3 will play out and test this middleground of 6v6 2/2/2 and 6v6 Open Queue. And also how all of this could interact with/mix with the existance of Open Queue. VERY intriguing stuff!! It feels like this level of communication and experimentation is unprecidented for a AAA game. Well done on T4 for that. And Arron Keller never feel bad for yapping LMAO I love it! The talk about history and map deisgn and how that influenced offensive/defensive play dynamics and queue times and player feedback were all v interesting to hear about!! Spoke when he needed, listened when he needed. Thoroughly enjoyable listen and very informative, it good to know how fluid the dev team are surrounding this situation as they clearly know how important this is to people.
All of the 6v6 in this game I've tried and it's meh, but I don't think it's meh because it's 6v6, but because all of the OW2 modes with it just aren't that good. I think whenever they officially make the change to 6v6, it will feel much better to play.
@ I contest this The pressure put on the shoulders (primarily of the tank) can take the game from feeling like a goofy fun team fighting game, to a sweaty game where you feel like the entire enemy team has it out for you personally I noticed it right as I swapped over from OW1 to OW2 Also amplified by countless of my friends refusing to touch the tank role after the switch, forcing me to step up to tank more
@ i’ll concede that busted metas with too much sustain were a problem, but the crux of the issue was sluggish balance changes that left those metas uncontested for too long.
There really couldn't have been a better pick for game director then Aaron. In the 3 or so years he's been at the helm I've been so impressed to see the way he's changed communications with the players and fans of Overwatch and I'm so comforted to know that the fate of the game rests in such capable hands. This is a really personnal opinion but they should also revert orisa right click back to pull instead of that hard CC but keep the spin instead of the shield.
As someone who's genuinely enjoyed Orisa in both OW1 and OW2, I'd be really interested in seeing how that moveset works out. People say she can do too much and is really oppressive, so reverting back to her pull orb might help make her more manageable and close-range focused.
i do agree but also tbh kinda prefer her shield to her spin, other than using it to eat ults, it just feels like a bullying the enemy tank into a corner cooldown. I like the old poking orisa, especially for halt. Tbf if it made a return thatd still be huge. But placing a shield and then setting up bongo behind it, i find all of old orisa more interesting, i think, tbf it's been awhilee.
@jimmyjab8744 while I prefer the shield I think the reduction of shields in the game has been bénéficié. I like the bongo but I think there are too many dmg boost in the game currently and people became better at focusing so the bongo would get destroyed a bit top fast and her current ult allows to be a threat a create space so it's not that bad.
Spilo, if they will measure the success of the 6v6 tests by playtime, make sure you tell them that all of the challenges of the batlepass xp MUST be earnable in 6v6 just like in the live game. I need to be able to finish my BP in the 6v6, i dont have the time to do 80 levels in 5v5 and also play the whole time in 6v6, to show i like it
that was incredible. so much amazing info in this. and so reassuring to hear how much time and attention they are giving to the balance of these different experimental modes. im impressed
Great questions and their answers were very insightful. Mainly looking forward to 6v6 but their passion is making me excited for the future of Overwatch in general.
Spillo no one is bringing this up but can you ask about diminishing returns from getting Crowd controlled multiple times in a row. For example if you get stunned and it’s a one second duration. Right afterwards you get slept and it’s a 3 second sleep duration but it only sleeps you for 1.5 seconds because you were already stunned before. And then the diminishing returns would reset every 30 seconds.
I found the anecdote about suports at the launch of OW2 really interesting. It's the great example of what happens in competitive games across genres where maybe there isn't anything fully wrong with balance necessarily, but player mindset. Shifting to playing your role differently and the average skill level of the player base increasing over time can make just as much if not more of an impact than forcing a patch down people's throats. I hope that's something OW players can keep in mind instead of pearl clutching at every single number change every time.
I don't know how much of a technical challenge it would be but I would really love for classic ow 1 (whether 2-2-2 or no limits) just be a permanent arcade mode. It would also be cool if other "seasons" of ow 1 could be other permanent arcade modes. I'm sure every single season would be ridiculous but maybe 4 or 5 of the major seasons which captured all of the main metas.
watched the hole video, its very good for game and community that the devs are open to hear us and offer this bridge between game/fun and future/business, at the end of the conversation i got hopes like in 2016/17 where the game started and reaally we see a bright future for overwatch! as aaron said, we talk and got takes cuz we love and we are very passionate about the game! good talk spilo, keep doing great!
I really hate the dps passive because it isn't felt by dps players, but by everyone else when they aren't present. In a game recently i was crit by the enemy rein's earth shatter (on rein myself) and he failed to kill me due to one ana healing me, no nade. We then killed him. The fact I didn't die there was pretty stupid and because of this i think they should just actually nerf the healing numbers
Amazing dev interview, I’ve got my problems with the devs changes but seeing them talk always makes me feel like they care and are making intelligent decisions even if they aren’t what I would do
Make Overwatch classic a permanent unranked/arcade mode and rotate the different snapshots on a weekly basis. Or even monthly. I think that would be so fun.
1:04:00 I wouldn’t mind Max 2 being implemented at least for Open Queue Comp. Quick play Open queue could stay the same but the comp version could use more structure.
Oh… so as a OW2 player, I’m realizing I’m not going to like 6v6 now. The tanks are changes so much again. I can’t just swap back and forth between 5v5 vs 6v6 because they are extremely different. Feels like 5v5 is going to have less tank players so feel forced into 6v6. I’m worried about this a lot… but maybe I’ll enjoy tank more too. I do love these devs and how attentive they are to the game! Spilo, you’re awesome!!! Keep it up!!!
*Removing* abilities from 6v6 tanks is going to put them right back where they started by making tanks boring to play. Its fine to decrease values and raise cooldowns, but robbing tanks of their extra options and versatility will rob from the already inconsistent dopamine flow of Tank players compared to the other roles. Tanks need MORE abilities than the other roles so that their one dimensional job stays fun and, more importantly, so most can flex between Off and Main positions, preventing people from leaving lobbies when a "non meta" duo is locked.
Something that ow classic has revealed to me: health feels less like a valuable resource with the healing passive. Tracer poke damage is more than just ult charge. With the healing passive, the only truly valuable poke damage is high burst damage. If you take some damage, you can just break LOS and heal without having to worry about a support getting to you. It enables too much independence imo. There’s also the conversation about healing numbers as well, but I genuinely feel like getting 25-30 hp poked out of me has an effect on my game beyond the enemy getting ult charge without the healing passive
Great stuff here, lots of info. Not sure I'll be a fan of that 'story of the match' longer term decisions stuff that Aaron mentioned toward the end though. Guess we'll see what they have in store.
Been playing since OW1 first released to now, on multiple roles, I got used to 5v5 - one less teammate to worry about, one less person for queue times. I think I prefer only two tanks on the map at a time instead of four. Maybe keep 6v6 around on OW2, but hopefully for comp it stays 5v5.
Always love to hear developers sharing their plans and insights!! Doing 2-2-2 before Min 1 Max 3 makes sense actually. It'll be a more stable and consistent experience before jumping into a format we've never tried before.
I’ve had more fun as a support in ow2 than I ever did in ow1. This is my MAIN reason for supporting 5v5. Let’s hope 6v6 v2 can mitigate the pain points I had in 6v6 v1.
At 7:06 if you're watching the video in the normal form not the portrait one Spilo's eyebrows vanish for some time and then come back, super weird to see him eyebrowless
It really is great that they're so open about talking about this stuff face-to-face and standing in front of a community that often berates them and being able to remain calm and give answers. It's really not an easy thing to do. For that, they'll always have my respect. Personally, I still prefer when Overwatch was 6v6. Especially after role queue was introduced of course. Was it balanced well. Hell no. But there was just something a lot more magical about it for me than current day Overwatch. Of course, a lot of this might just be my bias as a Dva main, but it's how I feel.
As someone who only played overwatch 2 and never got the chance to play overwatch 1, Overwatch classic introduced me to those hard edges and honestly? I've had a lot of fun with it at times, but at others it's so painful. When you get the thrill of a long lasting brawl versus the pain of 4 torbs on point B volskaya (speaking from experience).
6v6 even with its broken characters felt much better as stuff dies unlike the 5v5 with supertanks. Just nerf the tanks back bring back 6v6 and role que or sth similar then we are golden.
That's why it's a useless test. We already know the outcome because we've spent all of OW2 experimenting with that exact thing. All it'll do is make it so that other roles NEED to swap to compensate for the power boost given to the solo role. But if the boost is too weak, all it'll do is make it so that the solo role is forced to counter swap to not get abused.
Classic mode has solidified one thing for me. Move the arcade games to the quick play menu, at the bottom. They will get better advertising and will be played more. More fun for everyone.
It is nice to know that their open to letting the test run longer if people really do love it more. Only thing im a little sad about are some of the things being removed i personally really liked pig pen and being more of a trapper and holding off certain areas to stop people from hunting im fine with vape CD but i do really wish that would stay As for certain reductiona like Mauga cage fight duration or life weaver tree etc some of those might not be strong enough to handle being any weaker while in the same realm some might barely work rn but might end up being awful if they have another tank blocking them so im a little skeptical about how they plan on balancing these. I do hope we dont just go back to ow1 with everything as i do like some of the modern/newer takes especially since some reworks actually took power away from the characters to add to other parts like bastion or like hog where hogs damage went down to account for pigpen but if we go back are we just gonna let hog be just a one shot character again? Or are we just gonna have him be bad and rework him later anyways or bastion now being much worse with an extra tank in the way and a much more daunting cooldown with sentry but maybe itll be better with time. I do agree with tanks being weaker but i dont want them to be so unbelievably vulnerable that they become fodder especially if some of these CD's are too long. Overall i am very interested in how this might impact the game but ill keep my judgement till we actually play and maybe my concern will have some merit or the devs already figured it out and i wont have anything to worry about.
I feel like with how they're doing OW Classic, it's showing that they can more easily add back in older versions of heroes. My hope is that in workshop you'll be able to choose a hero version. More than likely they'll have 5v5 and 6v6, since making a switch back again risks them losing their new audience with the game play changes
Around the 47 minute mark Aaron speaks about cracking the nut of defense and being able to earn it. I strongly feel to be able to get into the next tier of rank you should have to win a 2cp. It might even be the only time you play to CP is for that promotion.

Thank you spilo this was a super productive interview. Im actually feeling alot better about the 6v6 tests, where the devs heads are at. Looking forward to a better OW!
As much as I am looking forward to 6v6, what actually kept me playing through the drought was the social aspect of the group finder. The game feels so hollow when you don't have people to play with.
They NEED to bring this back 😞
in my experience a lot less people use vc in general since ow2 launch, maybe thats cause there is a lot of new players, idk tbh
I miss it so much it felt like when they removed the option to stay in a lobby in cod it feels so empty
this one was the best interview. you did a good job spilo. i like that aaron mentioned their philosophy in earlier overwatch where they wanted more more separation between attacking and defending side. that was the best part.
The community is lucky to have you, brother
Aaron seems like such a good dude. He inherited a burning ship and has still managed to keep it a float. Much love and respect

Everyone's knowledge really shows letting the conversation flow really well, fantastic interview!
the gdc talks are also incredibly outdated, especially the ones on their netcode
Well, this is a good feeling knowing I don’t have to play 5v5 anymore for a while
I didn't expect classic to be from such an early version of overwatch, it made me appreciate how far the game has come.
Lets make a great game!
i like how aaron sounds like a pilot talking through the plane speakers
Love this interview. I actually love how the devs explain everything. They are so knowledgeable!
No lamp to bust through, no heal burst to take away what could have been an elem, no yanking someone you dropped on half way across the map, no two minute slogs of everyone dumping damage into everyone but Noone is dying because both teams supports are on point and have giga healing numbers
It's awesome.
Really lov that you had them on, and that they agreed to do it. I dont think people give these guys the love they deserve.
This is the single best interview in Overwatch's history, and Classic has been the first time in years I'm logging off because I'm out of time, and not because I'm pissed at the atrocious balance.
best and most promising dev interview yet.

I'm curious, if you could pin-point what you hate about playing arcade or quickly, what would you say is your biggest gripe? Do you just like competitive?
Nobody takes those modes seriously. @pierreramzy8448
@@pierreramzy8448 People try to win in competitive. QP and arcade modes are just for screwing around.
ngl the future of ow is kind of in the balance with the tests.
Open queue 6v6 and RQ 5v5. The amount of players aren’t the issue, it’s the proportion
The only real solution for this is to keep 5v5 as is and 6v6 in the Max 3 Min 1 version with maybe also Kingmaker also in there
@@James-fs4wr nah dude i want to try 6v6 rq. never got to play ow1

@@thatguybun Such a bad take, 5v5 gives far more individual player agency and freedom for DPS/Supports. The only role suffering significantly are tanks.
Amazing interview, I love how their opinions and projects for the game evolve over time
29:55 thing is this is what 6v6 with 2 tanks solves that issue of “less space” the tanks are supposed to work together to create that space for windows of opportunity to allow the dps and support to take off angles to allow playmaking so they can do their job more efficiently and effectively that’s what tanking in 6v6 is all about
I'm glad they're thinking about recurring historical events. It's always fun to go back and compare then and now. I had a blast yesterday playing old Bastion.
Cant wait for Beyblade meta to be done it's gonna be so funny

Awesome to see the Devs doing more interviews! Always great see them feeling comfortable enough to do stuff like this with the community.
Loved this interview! So much info was shared and everyone involved seemed to have a really good time as well 👏
honestly, you should be the point of contact for Bizzard and OW.
You're respectful but also 'tough', in that you represent the player's interest well.
It wasn’t 5v5 it was 6v6 1 - 3 - 2
This is the one thing I constantly say. The tanks in OW2 are just juiced up DPS. Nearly none of them have actually (direct) team aiding abilities, apart from a shield. Balancing aside, as it might be not bad right now, the concept or philosophy behind tanks in OW2 is pain bad.
@@Winterhe4rtso id argue that most the new tanks, barring ram, actually have some sort of team aid ability.

I genuinely think they do as much as they can. Even using out of office hours to talk about the game. They don't really have to do all this. they are just employees that care about the game and trying their best to run this ship.

Thoroughly enjoyable listen and very informative, it good to know how fluid the dev team are surrounding this situation as they clearly know how important this is to people.
Playing 6v6 is so much more fun. Like the game was literally so much fun!!
All of the 6v6 in this game I've tried and it's meh, but I don't think it's meh because it's 6v6, but because all of the OW2 modes with it just aren't that good. I think whenever they officially make the change to 6v6, it will feel much better to play.
6v6 has made the game fun again
6v6 with updated abilities would be better old Lucio is way less fun
@@mannypacbeloud5786 Yeah I do like 6v6 in classic, but I'm missing a lot of the newer updates to heroes, and classic does feel super janky
6v6 has nothing to do with this, the survivabilty creep made the game shit, not 5v5
@ I contest this
The pressure put on the shoulders (primarily of the tank) can take the game from feeling like a goofy fun team fighting game, to a sweaty game where you feel like the entire enemy team has it out for you personally
I noticed it right as I swapped over from OW1 to OW2
Also amplified by countless of my friends refusing to touch the tank role after the switch, forcing me to step up to tank more
@ i’ll concede that busted metas with too much sustain were a problem, but the crux of the issue was sluggish balance changes that left those metas uncontested for too long.
There really couldn't have been a better pick for game director then Aaron. In the 3 or so years he's been at the helm I've been so impressed to see the way he's changed communications with the players and fans of Overwatch and I'm so comforted to know that the fate of the game rests in such capable hands. They really do just want to make the best version of the game for everyone even to the point they'd have multiple versions of the game out just to satisfy different people's preferences. You don't see that in alot of places. ❤
6v6 has been so refreshing. hadn't had that much fun in ow in a long time.
Aaron and Alec are the 🐐 for listening to the community.

Now if you want to collectively blame them for being part of that team, that failed the community then so be it. Now u may argue these frequent changes are reflection of 5v5 instability, which to some extent I agree as im in favour of 6v6. But i give credit where its due. This team with aron keller as the lead director has shown they’re willing to listen to the community and are not afraid to make changes/ fixes that they think are overrall net-positive( not saying they havent screwed up with some changes they made). As an old ow1 fan from season 3 to now. All i wish was for us to have this overwatch team when ow1 was out. we wouldn’t have had the downfall of ow1 with brig and all the crap metas we had to put up through. Which is why im very hopeful of the future of this game ,with aron keller and this team in charge.
YES PLEASE. Halt was fun for pulling people off the map or disrupting a group without feeling too strong like Javelin does.
i do agree but also tbh kinda prefer her shield to her spin, other than using it to eat ults, it just feels like a bullying the enemy tank into a corner cooldown.
Just wanted to note: for an Aaron Keller interview, wears sleeves, still doesn’t comb hair. Love it.
This was a great interview to listen to. It is refreshing to hear from people who are passionate about the game.
May I just say, from playing custom games of 6v6, Kiriko feels amazing.
This has to be in my top3 most wanted videos from Spilo
watched the hole video, its very good for game and community that the devs are open to hear us and offer this bridge between game/fun and future/business, at the end of the conversation i got hopes like in 2016/17 where the game started and reaally we see a bright future for overwatch! as aaron said, we talk and got takes cuz we love and we are very passionate about the game!
good talk spilo, keep doing great!
2:18 "...with GOATS meta, we'll make that event three times as long as the others, just to be true to how it felt to play that meta."
Incredibly insightful interview, thank you for facilitating
1:04:00 I wouldn’t mind Max 2 being implemented at least for Open Queue Comp. Quick play Open queue could stay the same but the comp version could use more structure.
6v6 was a lot more fun than I expected tbh
The fact that Aaron and Alec keep doing these interviews is very underappreciated.

Can’t say enough good things about this interview. Loved it so much and brought so much insight I couldn’t dare to ask for ❤
Thanks to the devs for coming on and great interview Spilo
1:41 Why does it Aaron’s mic sound so bad, what headset is that?
The arctis something. Idk why the mic sounds so bad. I have one myself yet the mic sounds decently good
6v6 even with its broken characters felt much better as stuff dies unlike the 5v5 with supertanks. Just nerf the tanks back bring back 6v6 and role que or sth similar then we are golden.
Aaron got that hottt mic lmao
The 5v5 open Q max 2 talk kind of shows the issue with 5v5, no matter the role, if it only has 1 player it needs to be super buffed to compete
💯💯💯
That's why it's a useless test. We already know the outcome because we've spent all of OW2 experimenting with that exact thing. All it'll do is make it so that other roles NEED to swap to compensate for the power boost given to the solo role. But if the boost is too weak, all it'll do is make it so that the solo role is forced to counter swap to not get abused.
Its telling that the most popular OW2 has been since it launched was when they just brought back vanilla OW1
Classic mode has solidified one thing for me.
Move the arcade games to the quick play menu, at the bottom. They will get better advertising and will be played more. More fun for everyone.
Can I like this more? Or make this video blow up more? Literally no one I’d rather facilitate this interview. Spilo love ya content.
Love the conversation, shout out to the devs.
We need the logic and code to let Tracer blink while emoting again. Borderline broken character otherwise 😔
I really love these interviews
It is nice to know that their open to letting the test run longer if people really do love it more.
Only thing im a little sad about are some of the things being removed i personally really liked pig pen and being more of a trapper and holding off certain areas to stop people from hunting im fine with vape CD but i do really wish that would stay
As for certain reductiona like Mauga cage fight duration or life weaver tree etc some of those might not be strong enough to handle being any weaker while in the same realm some might barely work rn but might end up being awful if they have another tank blocking them so im a little skeptical about how they plan on balancing these.
We are lucky we have such amazing people working for this game
So it's okay for the team to shutdown 6v6 and change to 5v5 but they're not okay with doing the reverse? yeah cool fun
Aaron Keller stole his headset from the McDonald's drive thru
it’s crazy cus the mcds drive thru mic is actually better quality
That's was a great interview 👏
Around the 47 minute mark Aaron speaks about cracking the nut of defense and being able to earn it. I strongly feel to be able to get into the next tier of rank you should have to win a 2cp. It might even be the only time you play to CP is for that promotion.
