I've restored two of these earlier models, and watching you carefully polish the wonderful William Towne lines brought back great memories. I've prepped and polished until I know that shape in my sleep. Wasn't it fun to dive into the boot and remove the spare wheel? You chaps did a superb job and look to be very careful and have, forgive the pun, great attention to deatail. The only criticism that I see is that the tyres are too glossy. Remember, this is a 70s-80s period car, and Aston Martins are owned by gentlemen. Never had glossy tyres even when new. That back bumper gets plenty of exhaust soot, usually mixed with a bit of oil, as the valve seals are set a bit on the loose side to lube the valve train, so they're difficult to polish. Same with those sill covers. Well done!
Thank you for sharing Thomas!! Glad you enjoyed the video and it brought back good memories :) I love to hear about others who have stories of their own with the cars we work on. yes, that spare wheel was a total pain 🤣🤦♂️ the gloss always looks *really* slick right after application, and tones down a bit after a few hours. Thank you for the feedback. Would love to hear more of the stories you have as you see other projects we’re working on. Thanks so much for contributing to our community
Best car ever made, I fell in love with this car at the 1978 Motor Show in Birmingham N.E.C , I was 10 years old, my dad took me, I wanted him to buy one hahaha, house prices in the UK then were around 15k for a new 3 bedroom house the Aston Martin V8 Vantage was over 40k
Personally I think those may just be _the_ most beautiful cars ever designed. Seen only a handful in my life and was always in awe. I think they simply blow away the newer ones. Can't imagine how much a detailing like that would be worth. Haha. Would be interesting to see how the undercarriage is done too. Amazing attention to detail. Wow. 👍👌
What a wonderful car!!! Imposing, strong, the best of the series!!! Impossible not to remember 007, now he's up to the character!!! Congratulations on the job!!! 😊😊😊
My boss in the early 90's had one, he used it as a daily driver around Paris for years it was dinged up and scratched all round. Couple of years ago I saw it in a magazine, after a RS Williams restoration including 7.0L conversion. Went for silly money, I bet the new owner wont be laying down number 11's racing motorbikes off the lights in the early morning. 😂😂😂 You brought some great memories back THX.
@I AM Detailing he was a lot of fun, a good boss, a very astute professional, and a true gentleman, best person I ever worked for. After working for him, I had to start my own business, couldn't take working for idiots.😎 You have good one too.
Hope you know how fortunate you guys are to work on this car. Vantage Fliptails are highly sought after today. Manufactured in Newport Pagnell facility. Just shows how much customers trust you guys with your work. Excellent!
That is some of the most STUNNING black paint that I have ever seen in my life. I know the camera hides stuff, but HOLY SH!T that is INCREDIBLE guys. >>> MIND BLOWN 🤯
And this early Vantage is the most gorgeous of all, with the taller, blanked-off bonnet bulge and tall 'flip-tail' rear spoiler. The pre-'Oscar India' body is my strong preference, looks more muscular.
Excellent! Every one of your vids has a distinct "aaahh" moment for me; this time it was Victor wet sanding the right upper fastback sweep and then the yellow fog lights...liquid ! 🏁🏁🏁
Love Aston Martin cars. Always have. Beautiful in their design. Love how you don’t really see too many out there on the road. They are so exclusive. They don’t make that many. Would rather have an Aston any day than a typical Ferrari. Too many Ferrari’s out there.
Hi, please tell me why after sanding with wet sandpaper 2000-3000 I always have traces of polishing scratches. Is my sponge pad bad or is the polish too weak? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Absolutely brilliant job, bet it's better than when it left the factory... Your attention to detail is awesome! And how much better does the car look with Euro-spec bumpers rather than the US big bumpers - like night and day.
They are rarely for sale but if, they go for around 300 to 400k. There is actually also an even faster version of them called the Vantage X Pack. Super rare, only around 20 of them build as left hand drive and a couple more right hand drive. Most of them are sleeping in garages in the UAE and almost never see the light of day as an Aston Martin mechanic told me.
We actually have it finished, but we’re building something special soon and it’s going to be part of that. Trying to focus on the best videos for you guys right now 🙌🏽
@@IAMDetailing cant wait to see it. You guys do some awesome work and I love to see it. There is just not many folks in my area with nice cars. And not to many wanting to have them restored.
People have no idea how time consuming full paint corrections are.I did that for several years. When a new Rolls,Bentley or Lamborghini and other exotics would come in we would show the imperfections under our lights.People are always shocked by how man imperfections are on the factory paint.Besides most dealers don't know how to properly wash a car.I don't do this anymore but I would definitely trust you to detail one of my cars
The easiest paint to work on is a Bently and Rolls, Bugatti I find is much harder to work with but the worst I have personally done was a gull wing mercedes took 3 nights to do at the museum

Thanks Tony!! 🫡 we appreciate that high praise!
A proper Aston.
Great job - such a beautiful, timeless car.
It is indeed timeless as with many Aston Martin cars. I would love this car or one like it.
Wow. The end result was incredible!
As always. There's nothing else to expect.
You guys are far too kind 😌🥹🤝
Can you imagine just how shiny this looks in person? You are right, this is one of the most satisfying detail ever. You guys are the best!
Polishing marker light plastic covers is one of those 'last mile' jobs that makes a massive difference. 😀
Iconic classic Aston. Another amazing transformation 👍👌😎
I got the opportunity to drive one of these cars while stationed in Germany. What an amazing automobile
From looking forgotten to unforgettable again!
With a little help from our friends 🤝🫡😜 thanks buddy
I mean, I've seen detailing videos and many of them. Nothing compares to your level of attention and of course the results. Your work is art.
Sleek, smooth, and elegant. 👊🏻😎🔨
I like the ashtray in the center console.
Like a real cigar car from the 70s should have lol! Pretty cool Aston! Hope you have a great weekend Joe! Enjoy it!
Work of art and you guys just preserved it. You guys are the best..

That is a dream car
Agreed 🥰

Outstanding effort from you guys again. You can put your hand in that paint.
Just gorgeous.

Such a beautiful car! Looks like a Mustang but with an european and japanese 60’s car style. Amazing 👏🏼
Stunning work. Utterly flawless. Much love from the UK 🇬🇧

Auto detailing passion meet legendary car.
the British Mustang- refined and absolutely beautiful
One of my all time favourite cars, great job, looks stunning.👍
Sprague and Curtis’s masterstroke! Although having to acquiesce to the Colonials by putting the steering wheel on the wrong side always grated.
This was the last model Aston Martin ever made.
Wow… have no words… what an amazing car
Absolutely satisfied ❤
Fantastic detailing work on an icon marque. Aston Martin are different class 🇬🇧
Nice job guys! Wow! Lots of work but worth it! What a great example for this video! A classic Aston Martin! 👍😎

I love love this car
It’s something special huh?!
@@IAMDetailing Yeah, somewhat, it's not like all the
neighbors have one.
Great work on the detail but I forgot they used to install full spares in the trunk.
I'm just speechless! What a beauty ! And salute to you guys for making it a masterpiece! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯💯💯
The Aston is a proper muscle car , how could anyone think it was a Ford ?
stunning!
Absolutely brilliant job, bet it's better than when it left the factory... Your attention to detail is awesome! And how much better does the car look with Euro-spec bumpers rather than the US big bumpers - like night and day.
Beautiful job. I see it's for sale at O'Gara. No price.

Great content
May I ask, what polish did you use??
Didn't know before that AM V8 had just a closure plate there where is supposed to be the front grille.
Beautiful 🎉
My dream car
Whats the track called at the first part of the video?
I think Ford should have sued William Towns over this one. 😂
Omg
Perfection ❤❤❤😊
Any way to figure out what the music at the beginning is?
hey guys, what is the name of the first song???
J.A.K. - Riviera (it's on artlist, so you might not find it on spotify, etc)
@@IAMDetailing thanks so much, and you guys are incredible
Impressive work! Is it a miyh, or you souldn´t wash cars in direct sunlight?
How long does the paint protection work?
On the Artdeshine ceramic coating, we're using a 7 year coating

Be careful 007, she's just had a fresh coat of paint!
Was that factory paint? If so thats pretty thick
The car had a light restoration in its past
Factory paint was 22 coats of lacquer
Nice Aston Mach 1 Vantage 427 Cobra Jet
🤣🙌🏽
Being 46 years old is the foam in the seats getting brittle?
Not much difference between that and a mustang 2 king Cobra, at first I thought it was..
Awesome job it look great I love the car but it looks so similar to a mustang
PERFECT
