    Graham Hancock, formerly a foreign correspondent for "The Economist," has been an international bestselling author for more than 30 years with a series of books, notably "Fingerprints of the Gods," "Magicians of the Gods" and "America Before," which investigate the controversial possibility of a lost civilization of the Ice Age destroyed in a global cataclysm some 12,000 years ago. Graham is the presenter of the hit Netflix documentary series "Ancient Apocalypse."
    Flint Dibble is an archaeologist at Cardiff University who has conducted field work and laboratory analyses around the Mediterranean region from Stone Age caves to Egyptian tombs to Greek and Roman cities. Flint enjoys sharing archaeology - from the nitty gritty to the grand - with people around the world. Subscribe to his UA-cam channel, "Archaeology with Flint Dibble," or follow him on X/Twitter for behind-the-scenes deep dives into 21st century archaeology.

    Dibble gets a bit slippery here by tacitly insinuating it is not necessary to explore or excavate more areas. He proves Hancock’s position in that not enough has been done.

      cancel culture is when your ancient aliens parallel dribble gets sponsored by one of the biggest media corps in the world whilst an actual archaeologist working on multiple projects in the field has to beg for research grants yeah bro of course. Open minded doesn't mean letting someone literally take a shit into your brain. its an academic setting and academics require a logical thought process and evidence of which Hancock has none. He has book sales and gullible weed smoker tards however. I have no idea how u can watch someone flip flop and sperg out completely from his original thesis of a globe spanning advanced civilisation to "ok maybe you have not seen all the sahara however!" to "theyre trying to cancel me". "Think different" lmao

    Graham is a scam artist by claiming any of the crap he says should be taken seriously. I say this as a previous fan of his. His ideas are so damn cool and interesting. His stuff captivated me. However, I’ve learned that a lot of the stuff he says is just bs and you’re literally learning nothing by listening to him. If anything, he’s making some people dumber.

    Arguing to the negative is Mr Hancock, which appeals to the youtube dummies no doubt. We can't rule out a giant spaghetti monster that rule the saharas, just because we haven't explored all of it, by the same logic.

    • @darieuslegg
      @darieuslegg 16 днів тому +6

      Not necessarily the same logic at all. Reductionist thinking is exactly Mr. Hancock's point. He's not dismissing science, or suggesting anything outside the realm of completely possible. We know so little about anything, in comparison to this anomaly called life. Math is being challenged every day by quantum mechanics. Why should we dismiss an idea that the timeline of humankind is off? To make assertions that archeologists know best, is the same arrogance as telling someone else what is good for them. None of us can know, or will know, for sure what the story of Earth and the cosmos are. The more we admit we don't know, the more we will know. Which is certainly not a logical approach. By your logic, we are all UA-cam dummies are we not?
