Was looking at getting the chirp to replace my pro but doubt I will upgrade to be honest as it really doesn't offer that more, glad I watched this now as you saved me a few quid
1 they need to make and sell separate batteries, this is the biggest flaw in the design. After about a year your batteries stop charging even if you follow the manual and top them off every 3 months..
Thank you for the information. You need to know where there is structure and drop offs and where the bait is so you can catch fish. I don’t need to know if there is fish but structure and drop offs give the best advantage when casting from a pier!
Great information nice presentation. I have owned an IBobber for a few years and the product served the purpose. Awaiting Deeper pro plus from Amazon should have waited and saved up for plus chirp!
Its just the GPS but with the GPS you get the bathametric mapping, you can mark spots and all sorts. I wouldn't get the plain chirp. The GPS really helps.
this is how you know this product is bad. if you watch the review of the deeper plus when they were new, none of those videos said its kind of good, but now that the new chirp is out all of the sudden the old one is kind of good/some times dont work/ its not clear/ takes too long to charge etc... i love to see an honest review for once.
I hear you. And agree to an extent. I think another thing to think about is perspective. For example when the first cell phone came out, everyone thought it was incredible. But then after the new ones came out, all of a sudden the old specs don't seem as good because the new specs are so much better. If we didn't have new specs, we would probably stay happy with the old specs. Just a thought. What do you think?
@@ItsTippToppFishing totaly agree when the pro plus came out it was the best, there was nothing better to compair it with, technology is moving fast as for phones they are now mini computers with more power than the computers that landed men on the moon
Hey, At 4:38 it seems like the deeper pro plus is better at displaying the consistency of the ground/the deprh of the mud. Is that correct? The chirp might have a higher resolution, but for me the most important information is depth and if the ground is muddy, sand or gravel. So the deeper pro plus might actually be better, no?
You fail to mention though that the more expensive an item of fishing tackle - the more snags want to grab it. Look forward to getting mine off the island shrubbery.
Hi i see you did your clip at a cape town dam named Vygeboom dam. The council had banded all fishing at that spot. You were lucky they didn't catch you. Thanks for the nice clip.
Is it possible to lock the zoom level of the screen so I can always recognize whether there is a second return? I do not like that it is zooming automatically.
Hi , thank u, what would you choose for me if i told u, i do floatube and i wanna buy my first sonar? I can afford the two, but i don't wanna waste my money u know.
I would say get the chirp+. Simply because you will see more information under you and you will therefore be able to make better informed fishing decisions.
Head over to your app store and download the old "Deeper Smart Sonar" app, its free and you can see what the deeper can do with it's simulation mode. Then when you get a Deeper rather use the "Fish Deeper" app which is a much better app.
Am going to buy the chrip plus , however i wanted to know if it works well for shore fishing. Because that's the only thing i can do here where i live - deep sea fishing & shore fishing from the rocks.
@@rafamunoz1324 the Chirp+ is much better. They literally took the faults of the Pro+ and improved them. I used both for over a year each and the chirp is by far my favorite.
Hey Man I contacted Deeper. They tested the code and the KEATON10 does work. Just make sure you go to the link in the description and click discount code not gift coupon. Let me know if it works:-)
@@ItsTippToppFishing thank you very much. I plan to take it for salt water max 30 meters for shore jigging. I found the pro + 190 euro. The chirp cost 315 euro.
There is to many same things on both of them, im realy dont see a point to overpay for Chirp +, then you basicaly getting the same information at the end of a day. Sonars dossent catch you a fish... its just letting you choose spot for it, every thing else is making you better at fishing...
The chirp + is a better device. It's nicer to use and has comes back with better images. It's worth the price difference. You are right that sonar can't catch you fish... but they definitely help you catch more fish.
I have the pro+ I have a buddy with the chirp, and I'm inclined to agree. He can see the bottom much clearer, but when we're out fishing we both pick up similar sonar blips and trails for fish. I mainly use it ice fishing, and it's amazing, much easier to see where the fish are around your hole (especially when we're fishing in deep water, 80+ft). The chirp is definitely better, but once I got used to how the pro+ displays things, I know what I'm looking at. I charge it the night before I go out (so battery charge rate isn't a big deal), the display is better on the chirp (no argument there), minimum depth isn't really a big deal (I've ice fished for perch in 1.5ft and it's still decent), but the only thing I'd say is a big improvement is better cone angles on the chirp. It's a great device either way, but unless the chirp goes on sale and the price is close, it's not a big enough difference for me. That being said I'm a penny pincher haha.
Sonar doesn’t catch fish…but knowing what is under the water does…are you guessing that your fishing a ledge/grass line/tree in the water? Or do you know it’s there…predator fish choose to use these areas for ambush points on bait fish…knowing the under water topography can not be underestimated
1) No. No. Chirp is not "military grade". Holy hell. If that's the case, the fishermen in the US have had top secret tech for the last 20 years, 🤣. 2) HOWEVER, I completely agree on selling the pro+ for funds for the chirp.

A great review, perfect in fact, just what i needed. I would have preferred a different colour. The Chirp+ is just too easy to lose
will these work for me if i have these products just floatingt beside me tied to a string and hooked to the side of my fishing float tube?

Chirp is always better at distinguishing bottom!

The deeper will work in the calm water. When it gets thrown around in the surf it will mess with it because it will struggle to keep upright
Can the chirp plus work in salt water
Yup it does.
Deeper pro plus for sale... 150.00
Lets do a session together one time
So basically witch one is better ?
If price is not a factor. The Chirp+ is much better
