This is under the name of Roger...not tech enough to change to my name....Hello, I'm Shelia! So nice and what a joy to just now have met you. I just watched your third flosstube and will go back to see your 1&2 and will always! continue watching, but could not wait to tell you how much I enjoyed and loved your video! Thank you so very much! You are now in my top three!!!!! I was so touched to tears at your end....thank you for including our Lord and the joy in all and everything despite that sometimes life is difficult. I am blessed and always want everyone else to understand that there sometimes are people that look upon others as being blessed in more ways than they but once that joy and peace is found they will realize that they have more than can be counted. Oops, sorry for my sermon but sometimes my heart overflows! I enjoyed your flosstube to that extent!!
Oh, I loved your 'sermon'! A sweet sister in the Lord!! Thank you so much for the special encouragement to share the real me and my hope and foundation along with my stitching and stories. So glad you found me and shared your thoughts right away!!
Glad you found one of my older videos and it's still the same stitching setup I use now (4 years later). I enjoy using my Mom's fun fabrics like the thistles in these project bags. I haven't made one since we moved and now that all my fabric is unpacked I need to make some more.
As I was surfing I came across this post. I was immediately drawn to it because you are sharing your set up. I struggle with mine. Then I started to listen to your video and again you said you are older, eyes not as sharp,as they use to be…now I am hooked lol. I can so relate. I have just started stitching again and what a different world is out there now for cross stitching items. I love your embroidery hearts. Your mom’s quilts are amazing .
Martha, I'm so glad you got some ideas from my stitching set up. There's no way I could cross stitch on this linen without it!! Even after all this time, it's still what I use. I'm sorry I missed your comment when you posted....I took a break from my channel, but now I'm back and ready to share lots of ideas!
Last winter I wanted to return to cross stitching after many years. When I was younger I used to work on Aida (with no magnification) but now I love the look of linen. But I was discouraged because of my eyesight. Maybe my stitching days were over! Luckily I found your video and copied your exact setup. I‘m so happy to be stitching again and it’s because of your good suggestions! I thought you’d like to know how helpful you’ve been. Thanks so much for taking the time to share, Barb McG
That's exactly how I felt!!! Now I even use the set up for embroidery, which I never needed before!!! So glad it has worked well for you, too. It's no fun to be struggling to see when stitching should be a joy!!! I've been gone for a while, but put a new video up this evening. Hope you can stop by for a visit.
Thank you for your faith and love and peace. Whatever God’s plan is, we will get through it. I have complete faith. I certainly am blessed to have found your videos!! Such beautiful projects you show!! I stay busy every day creating things!! God bless you!!
Wow! I am stunned by the beauty of your mom's quilts. I am a little behind in watching here, because I was out of town, and am now catching up on your videos! I am going to go watch some of your quilting ones right now! Loved the reminder from the devotional book that God is in control; He is still on the throne. God bless.
I bred whippets for years and had a griffon bruxellois. All did that reverse sneeze thing. To stop it I would block the nostrils and open their mouths. Occasionally I would blow in their open mouth. Stopped it immediately. It's not a drama for the dog, like hiccups. We get more concerned than they do. Love your setup. I'm new to cross stitch after being a long time quilter and have had the same issue with finding a light combined with a magnifier that had a clip. Thank you.
Thank you for choosing to create both your floss tube and quilt channels. As a fellow believer, I thank you for not being ashamed of the Bible and sharing that joy with others. 💕
I am a new subscriber to your Chanel . I am 44 years old and also new to quilting and cross stitching. I made my first two bed quilts for my kids over the summer. Funny how much extra time we have since quarantined. I loved your tips. Your moms quilts are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing 💕
Luz Lopez thank you for joining in with me! Yes, it’s so good for us to have healthy hobbies during this time of lockdown. Happy hands and happy heart!
Oh my goodness. I am a new cross stitcher and I just found your channel searching for cross stitch setups. You are fabulous. Thank you so much for all this information. I will have a great little Amazon haul as soon as I get the order placed. I can't believe how perfect all this looks. Thank you so much for doing this. I love Cross stitching, but my eyes are old and it is so fiddly. I look forward to seeing more of your channel!!
It is so interesting to me how many of us used to cross stitch in the 80s and are now returning to it! So many things have improved. During the beginning of the lockdown I happened across Happy Little Stitch Shop because of the quilts and found myself drawn back into crosstitch and floss tube watching. Thanks so much for sharing your setup. I have been struggling with mine! Lots of helpful tips
Glad the setup gave you good ideas. I was sad at first when I tried stitching on that 36 count and couldn't even see to stitch. I'd love to work on a 40 count project, but waiting til next year probably. Yeah, I love the primitive and rustic patterns I'm finding as well as the time-worn look of the overdyed linens. I found that the aida I tea dyed had that beauty as well. Many of us returning cross stitchers out there as I'm finding! Welcome back, as well!
I have shamelessly copied your cross stitch set up and couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you so much for sharing. Your finds are allowing me to pursue a hobby that I thought I would have to give up. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for sharing the scripture reading; we all need to hear from the Word so thank you so much! I loved seeing all of your stash and your Scattered Seed club finish; I am in that club too and I love it all. Looking forward to watching your quilt video of your mom’s quilts; they are gorgeous! Happy stitching..................
sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Damon Reginald Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I found you tonight while searching for one I have not watched. Now I will go back and watch the 1 st 2 it is so nice to hear positive and be read a devotional. I really appreciate you stepping out and doing that. We need hope and joy. This has been a hard year for me as many others God is in control no matter what. Love the set up you have. I may need to make a change. Have been searching how to. My eyes getting harder to see , I use cheaters now but like that lamp you have. I too use stitching to help me be calm and peaceful. God gave me this gift, time, talent and treasure to do this. He provides for me to do it. I offer every stitch as a prayer . I give most away and the prayer is for that person. Lately I am starting samplers so I will keep them and for family and the world. This was an uplifting video. Thank you.
So enjoyed your video! You have created the perfect portable stitching setting. I also like watching UA-cam or listening to audiobooks while I quilt or Cross-stitch. I especially liked the end of your video… What a lovely devotional and reminder that God is in control.
Discovered you today , Oct3 rd. So enjoy your channel. I’m a returned stitcher also after a 25 year break. I lost my mom this year on July 31st. I was her caregiver for over a year. Pure joy and peace from the Lord. Thank you for encouraging words and sharing your real life with us.Also so many of your questions have been mine. Such wonderful changes in the cross stitch community!
Dee Akins oh the loss of our mothers is such a grief! I am glad you found my channel and I hope we can encourage each other. Thank you for watching and commenting and being part of my stitching family!
I know this is an older video, but I am just finding it. I just ordered the lap desk and light to copy your stitching set up. I stitch in hand but have been struggling with lighting and magnification lately. I think this may solve those issues. Thank you for sharing!! Love your channel!
I really like your stitching set up. I could see me getting a little warm from the lap desk, but it all really seems convenient. I enjoyed seeing your project bags and your stitched pieces and haul. Thank you so much for the words of encouragement at the end of your video. Who of us couldn't use a little hope and peace in these scary times. I love little Riley! He looks a little like my Paisley Grace. Your Mom's quilts are absolutely gorgeous! Going over now to watch your quilting videos! I love, too, that you and your mom hand quilt. I still haven't mastered quilting on my conventional machine and don't have access to any other quilting machines, so hand quilting is the way for me! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for sharing you setup. I have the same lap table. I have the same knitters pride magna holder. Never occurred to me it would fit in the lap table slot. I have a floor lamp with the light/magnifier. That is what my setup is at home. I have a portable light/ magnifier to use when I travel. This setup is a joy. Thanks so much for sharing that. I was so excited to try it and I already had everything I needed. Love your videos. I am now a subscriber.
You are so welcome! I'm glad to give you a little idea to make your setup even better. It's great to see other stitchers and learn from them. Have you seen Handworkmaniac (Brenda) in her stitching spot? I loved her lap stand.
For some reason, your channel showed up randomly as a suggestion and I’m so glad it did. I just loved watching you and all your projects and look forward to watching the other cross stitch and quilting videos. I *especially* loved the devotion you shared at the end - comforting words indeed ❤️
Just found you two hours ago and I’m binge watching all your flaws tubes and then your quilting! I’m glad someone like you with your years of knowledge on all kinds of flossing and stitching has joined UA-cam. I also followed you on Instagram!
Oh!!! I'm so glad you found me and hope you enjoyed all my stories and stitching and then those emotions that just gush out sometimes!!! Just popped a new one up there, but get ready for some laughter and maybe a tear as well!!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos Bonnie. I love seeing your stitching, hearing about your quilts and your mom, your project bags were fantastic. You have a great box of new projects to look forward to as well. The devotions you end with are so calming. I leave your videos with a warm heart and a feeling of peace. I’m anxious to watch your quilting one next. Thank you for sharing with us!!
I love your videos and your Bible reading at the end. I wish you lived close to me. We have same interests and I would love to sit by you and learn to quilt! Have a blessed week
Oh, I know!! I was just thinking this morning about how fun it would be to have all my dear stitching family together at a big retreat so we could sit and stitch and talk and laugh and cry and drink coffee and eat chocolate!!!!
I am enjoying your videos very much Bonnie. Your endings are great - your love for Jesus shines!! In this world, where would we be without him?! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Nebraska!
I found this video today and enjoyed it. I appreciated the devotional at the end too. Thanks for sharing your cross stitch set up. I have been doing embroidery since I was a small child. I loved stitching days of the week tea towels. My mother tried to teach her mother and myself to crochet and we failed, so she switched and taught us how to embroider. I also quilt and love your mother's pretty quilts. You have purchased patterns from my 2 favorite designers - La D Da and Kathy Barrick. I have stitched more of their patterns than anyone else! Look forward to seeing more videos from you. 😊
So glad I found your video. I too have just restarted by cross stitch after 13 years. It is almost like an entirely new hobby with all of the linens, threads and patterns now available. I also have been on a search for a magnifier and will have to look for the one you suggested. And I love your project bags. I have been collecting but unfortunately I am not really a seamtress but I am going to watch the video you suggested and maybe give it a try..
Lisa Hodges I have been adding project bag and other DIY tutorials to my Playlist on my channel. I think you would find it helpful to check a few out and see which ones might be a good project for you. Don’t worry about perfection, enjoy the process and good luck!
You are one of my new favorite stitching friends! I came back to cross stitch about 4 years ago and life has not been the same! I love to watch flosstube and stitch away in my sewing room... my happy place. I am also brand new to quilting and can't wait to watch your quilting videos. Thank you so much for sharing your joy and your fun videos! Can't wait to see all your progress... happy stitching!
Thank you for so much information and sharing your work with us! A special thank you for the devotional at the end. ❤️ I’ve had an extremely emotional past several days. God is good and I’m so grateful that He’s able to comfort us in the hardest of times. May God bless you and comfort you in the coming days. I’m thankful that He gave us needlework to help relieve the stress during uncertain times. Happy stitching! Debbie from WV
Crosshatch Quilts oh thank you!! I’m enjoying getting to know you through your videos and even watched while I needed something soothing to fall asleep earlier this week. Love the idea of you camping and stitching. I did that often when we had our 5th wheel. Peace upon peace!
Hi Bonnie I just want to thank you for showing your stitching set up. I have been looking for the “perfect” set up when I’m stitching in hand and your recommendations hit the mark! I already had the light and chart holder you use, so I ordered the lap desk and I could not be more pleased! Thanks again for the heads up, I’m a happy stitcher
Wonderful video!!! Love your enthusiasm for stitching and quilting! I have the Hope For Every Day. We l need that encouragement in these times. I am a huge fan!!! Keep stitching!
THANKS for starting your floss tube channel! Love you style but most importantly to me is the Christian fellowship and devotionals. My husband's battling brain cancer so my stitching and faith have never been more important to me and you are a beautiful breath of fresh air in the season we find ourselves in. Joyful nevertheless is my current state. Love from East Tennessee 🧡🧡
I'm so glad you found your way into my Sewing Room and I value your encouragement!! Life can be so hard....if I didn't have my Jesus, I can't imagine what I would do. I'll be praying for you, Lisa as you meet the challenges you are facing and the courage to choose Joy Nevertheless. WE can do ALL Things Through Christ Who Strengthens US!!!!
Lisa Shults 🙏🏼❤️Prayers and hugs for you and your husband during his fight against cancer. I am on one year of fighting a rare breast cancer. Between that and the pandemic, I find floss tubers very relaxing. Almost enough to get back into it...almost. I’m quilting a 1” hexie quilt now I hope my 13 month old granddaughter will use someday. The stitching is mesmerizing and peaceful. I forget about everything negative in my life. And I never thought I would find such a community on UA-cam. Blessings to you and yours❤️
Welcome to floss tube! I too, just came back to cross stitching after 20+ years. I love stitching...best hobby ever. I only use Pat Carson needles, please give them a try!
Kathy Cary I’m so glad you watched my video and I just ordered some Pat Carson needles because several ladies suggested them. I love getting referrals cause I know it’s good stuff!
Oh, my stars and garters--how did I get this blessed - to find in you the Mother Lode of information, tips, leads and the delicious pastel esthetics of your dear mother's quilts, and more???!!! And you also have a separate channel for quilts? Is it also called Log Cabin Stitcher but without "Flosstube?" where you show your mother's quilts more fully? If I don't get to see that one I'll have to fall on my sword!! The reason this all is impacting me so much is that I'm just getting to where I can finally start cross-stitching, quilting and doing all kinds of creative things again after some years of needing to be a caregiver of sorts. I know I was LED to find you today. You're part of my "joy in the morning." And that you reverence our Savior! Thank you and bless you!❤xox Sue
Oh my, YES! I just love to share my stories with anyone who has a willing ear! I’m doing both...Flosstube and then a Quilting video where I go into more detail about the quilt and the story behind the quilt. This weekend, I’ve got several jilts and I’ll also share about a few threads I use for both sewing as well as hand appliqué. So happy to have you in my stitching family!
Bonnie, I absolutely love your videos. I am so glad they popped up on my suggestions! I love your soft and kind demeanor and the joy and ambition you have with your cross stitch and quilting. Cross stitching and quilting are also a huge part of my life. I have to laugh because you mentioned "when I reach 500 subscribers" just a few days ago and you are already at 2.28K!!!!! Awesome! Love your life stories of faith, your scripture readings, and you being you! Happy Stitching!!!
Kim Alley Isn’t it amazing how the subscriber number has jumped! I’m totally surprised and so grateful. This is such a beautiful community and so inspiring...my mailbox has been getting lots of happy mail with charts and linen. I’m glad you found your way into my stitching family!
This also showed up randomly for me as well, and like the op,i'm so glad it did!! I love everything you have shown, both yours and your moms. I also started out by doing embroidery, then crewel, then quilting, then finally cross stitching,oh and in between all that i also took tole painting classes in the 90's.I'm also a sewist and have been sewing since high school back in the dark ages. I love hearing about your mom as well and love all those beautiful quilts. Can't wait to go back and watch #1 and 2 of your videos,i also just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Davis Kathi I’m so glad you’re enjoying sharing the stories of my quilts, stitching and my Mom. Sounds like we have so many things I common. Thank you for being part of my stitching family,
Your video just popped up and so I watched this one then went back and watched 1 and 2. Thank you so much for sharing. So enjoyed them. I also quilt so your quilting ones will be next.
I so enjoy my time watching your videos! Thank you for sharing your inspirational message of peace, choosing Joy is my motto too!! I live the way you phrase it “nevertheless”. Your mothers quilts are so precious, your niece will be so blessed by your gift!! Hopping over to your quilt video looking forward to hearing the stories! Blessings to you!
Bonnie, thank you so much for sharing your stitching set-up....wonderful job of describing and detailing everything! Been stitching since the early '80's (boy, has it changed...for the best)...also have a huge fabric stash for quilting...you inspire me to get going on projects that have been lingering around for quite a while...the finished products are so much fun. Look forward to what you will share next time! (P.S. So appreciate your sharing your message of peace and hope which we need so very much during these odd times.)
Chrie Gould I’m glad you enjoyed my stitching set up! I love seeing other stitcher and quilter setups so I can glean ideas from them and even get inspired to just keep my space clear and tidy...doesn’t always happen, though. Thank you for taking the time to share in this with me!
Loved watching this you're very enthusiastic. I too am a cross stitch returned and am looking for stuff I can use to help my eyesight too. I note you're also a believer. How wonderful me too. I'm in the UK and we don't have as much available to us as you but I'm looking for cool projects.
I’m so glad you found me! I have found that even with my embroidery now I use the magnifying lamp...and threading needles. So helpful. Yes, I love my Jesus and share what I call my Good Stuff or my Faith Journaling at the end of my videos. I think the Flosstube #4 I share a bit about why my faith is so important to me after a very low time in my life.
Excellent podcast. Thank you for all the information. Although I love all the content of your flosstube, the last few minutes of you reading from the devotional book is the best!!! Thank you for doing that ,
Nancy Fischer oh, I really appreciate your encouragement on sharing the devotional! This year has been so hard, I want to being some joy and hope to this beautiful community!
You are just what we need. Kindness and love along with our love of sewing and cross stitch. I made it to church this morning. First time since the awful virus came. Sitting 6ft apart and masked up in God's house. God whispered to me----I am here. With the sudden death of my husband in December 2019 and then the virus its been awful. But my cross stitch -sewing project bags and Flosstube--- and prayer all is manageable. See you on your quilt chl next. Later from Kansas
I'm so glad you are finding comfort and joy through my videos. That's my main purpose for doing these. God has blessed me so much in my life despite the challenges, and I want to share that with others. God bless you, Elizabeth!!! So glad you got to go to church and fellowship!!
I’m still in love with my set up….but I learned not to adjust the magnifier by the head, just the gooseneck because mine broke and I had to replace. It said right on the instructions not to adjust by the head…..late learner.
Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks of cross stitching. I will be ordering a lap stand to try it out, as well as the clip light. Love the ideas of where you have your iPad and where you place your pattern for easy reference. Your project bags are wonderful! Loved watching your video. Be blessed!
Really enjoyed your video I belong to the Little Wren Handworke Series, love it so much! Your cross stitch set up is something I’m going to check into for travel, love it... I’ve been stitching Crabapple designs for a long time, love embroidery too and quilting...your mothers quilts are so beautiful I will be checking out your quilting videos, thanks for all your great ideas...
Hello! I’m so glad your video showed up in my newsfeed! I really enjoyed seeing your stitching setup. I want to revise my set up and you have inspired me. Thank you for sharing your mom’s beautiful quilt. It’s so pretty.
Just found your flosstube and really enjoyed it. I also make project bags and liked your idea of putting some vinyl in the top section. And when you mentioned zipit zippers, I was happy to see they still sold zippers. I’ve gotten orders from them in the past. Great customer service and wonderful colors.
Kathy Harris I’m glad that little strip of vinyl in the top is something you want to try as well. There are so many great ideas out there, so we can find one (or several) that work best for us. I made a tiny one this week for my floss.
Your project bags are beautiful! I used the same tutorial for making mine and I, too, adjusted the size according to the favorite fabrics I wanted to use, mainly Blackbird Fabrics from Moda in my stash. Enjoyed your haul. Hope you get lots of stitching time in until the next time. Thank you for sharing the devotional. It was beautiful and timely. Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling" is another wonderful daily devotional. Take care sweet friend.
I bet you are treasuring you’re BBD fabrics now that I heard they aren’t doing any more fabric lines. I am finding that these project bags can really showcase some special fabrics.
Hi Log Cabin Stitcher - Just happened upon your channel and loved watching. I'm a fellow East Bay Californian! I can tell you are a special lady. Thank you for sharing lovely video!
The Pokey Little Pineapple Another stitcher from CA! So happy you got to visit with me and a I so Very much appreciate your sweet encouragement! Thank you!
Love your work. Don’t forget you can use your orphan quilts blocks on project bags. Also I added a handle on mine. You can carry many on your arm with handles
Yes! I have seen blocks added to the project bags. I was even thinking of doing a cross stitch for one. So many fun ideas and plans. I do like the idea of handles, too!
Just love it!!!! love it!!!!! love it.......I am glad I watched all the way to the end. We need Joy and my refuge is all of you ladies with their wonderful work....sharing, showing and just talking to us like friends, God bless you and will check your quilt channel also.
I have the same magnifying lamp...I bought a pair of kids gloves at the dollar store and I use one to slip the magnifier inside...works great..Great lamp!
Eva Hernandez I’m so glad I’m saw it on Felicity Stitcher’s great video. There are so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to try to make a choice, I love recommendations. Glad it’s working for you, as well.
I'm hooked! I love watching you and I'm going to get the same set up as you have with the magnifying light, lap desk etc! And, I'm inspired to create some project bags - what a great idea! I love it!!! Happy to be a new subscribers! Thank you 🥰
I’m so glad I got you all inspired with my fun setup! Man, it sure helps when you can actually see what you’re stitching! So glad your part of my little stitching family!
Hollis Hands Creates also has videos on UA-cam, which I enjoy. Great video. I also have quilts and quilt tops passed down from my dad's sister . They are treasures I truly love.
I have been watching a lot of flosstube and at 67 I thought about starting a channel. However, I really don't have time and I'm afraid to say it but I can't remember where my material's CME from, ( my stash is in a large Hefty tote, my floss stash is overwhelming. I have been through so many lights with magnification lenses. I stitch for so many but I look around and don't see that much hanging on my walls. Same with my quilts, the only one I own, that I made, is more a comforter and its on my bed. The ones I made for my children were king size and they took forever. Oldest girl wanted Jacob's Ladder, younger girl wanted bible blocks. My son has a Georgia Bulldog quilt and I made the pillow shams too. I'm babbling but I like your channel God bless.
Hi Marsha! I’m glad you’ve connected with my silly videos and all my stories. Yes, it can be hard to remember where some of our collection comes from, but....other Flosstube friends just show it and say it was from a long time ago, so don’t let that hold you back. I know other generous Quilter’s like yourself who have been so good at making items to gift to others.....I’m struck on making things for myself right now! But, if you live close enough that you could borrow it to share for a video and share all the delightful details, that might work. Doing the videos is time consuming, but for me, it has been a good outlet to meet people with similar interests from all over the world...still blows my mind! And, I’ve always had a desire to share all the special details about my things. Every collection is dear to me...each project has special meaning and I’m so very grateful to have others who actually want to see and hear about them. You could always just give it a try and decide how often you want to do them. Many of the people I follow do videos occasionally. Mine have to work around my schedule, so they will never be regular. So glad to hear about your special quilts made for your family. That is a treasured gift for them to always enjoy!
Best Enchanting Decor I know, there are so many lovely things out there and even if you don’t know how to sew, you can check out Etsy for lots of beautiful handmade project bags for sale.
I find that the hard copy is so lovely! I love the feel of the weight and the book in my hand. I'm and old fashioned girl! I'm glad you found it a blessing!
i love seeing your haul and beautiful project bags. love zipit zippers and you shop my favorite shops. scattered seeds has an etsy shop also. you need the app xstitch. it is in the app store. it is awesome.. i just love you, blessings to you
STITCHIN MY STASH thank you! I just looked on the App Store and there are two apps that look similar one is XStitch plus and the other is a $2.99 one called xstitch app were either of those the ones you were thinking of?
Hi Bonnie, Another great video! Love the lap desk idea, I think this will work well for me, took notes and will search out the items you shared. Loved Billy Graham, got to see him live in Reno Nevada in the 70's, he was touring, what a blessing. I watch Dr. Charles Stanley and have his daily devotional. The project I am currently working on is Brenda Gervais "2015 'Our Story' HOME", it's a quick project. Thank you for the great idea's. Blessings, 🐝
HOw wonderful to hear you enjoyed the stitching set up that works for me. Hope you find the Perfect setup for you as well! I'm glad we share our faith and the joy of stitching. Oh, Brenda Gervais has such sweet patterns!!! I'll be sharing more of the embroidery patterns she used to sell in future videos!!
Really enjoyed your video, so you have a new subscriber. Looking forward to watching your other videos but maybe tomorrow as it is 1:30 am. I appreciate the daily scripture readings at the end. We all need a little hope right now. Thank you. Maria
Maria Franco Oh so glad you found me! I know if we only didn’t have to sleep there so many things I want to stitch and so many Flosstubers I want to watch! Thank you for joining in my little stitching group and I look forward to hearing your comments in the future.
Sew enjoyed your video!!Thank you for all the info,I have eye issues and have been trying to find a solution for stitching on smaller counts.Your set up looks great!
I love your flosstube and your project bags. and your embroidery, if you like color and simple embroidery you can look "le chat dans l'aiguille". And I appreciate all the infos for the bag and the lamp. Thanks
Suzanne Girard thank you! I’ll check that out. I have been having so much fun spending time with needle and thread since it’s been too hot to work in the garden. Thank you for watching!
OMG....I have been trying to figure out a way to stitch to be able to be comfortable, and use a magnifying light, and see my pattern, etc. I think that Sophia & Sam lap desk May be the answer! The only thing I would add is a way to do 2-handed stitching....so I gotta figure that out! Thank you for sharing!!
CraftyAddict I’m so glad this helped give you ideas. I did watch Christy on Crosshatch Quilts show the Stitch inHand method for the second time so I could get a feel for it. It’s going to take some practice, but I love how quickly the stitching can go. That may change how the magnifier clamps on if I go that route. For right now, I’m more comfortable with the one handed. Practice, practice!
You might want to put a few diagonal quilting in the back of the project bags because even through you use fusible fleece it will separate from the fabric. Just a helpful hint
I am so happy to have stumbled upon your video today! What a great experience and your devotion at the end was truly a gift! Hugs to you!!! Following you on instagram now!
Have you discover the Country Stitchers Flosstube yet? I think you would love them. Deb lives in a log home and has great style and decorating sense. Her projects are beautiful! And Liz is a gadget guru. She always has a segment in the video called Gadget Corner where she shows you how to use all the useful tools of trade. She is super knowledgeable about all sorts of stitching gadgets. You need to check them out. I use a variety of needles depending on my fabric. I do love the Bohn most, but have used Pat Carson's and the balltip needles are great on some fabrics that are really tightly woven. They are now available on Amazon. They are more pricey than the Bohn. I keep a stitch journal too, and keep track of my projects, the fabric I used, the fibers I use and the date started and completed, etc.... where I make my purchases, fabric I love, shopping lists and all things stitching related.
Ozark Mtn Stitcher I’m going to watch Country Stitchers this week. Thank you for the suggestion, they sound just like what I’d like. There are so many great flosstubers out there and so many lovely things to stitch... just wish I didn’t need to sleep! Loved reading your comments, thank you. I did get some Pat Carson needles last week and picked up some John James today. I like the size 28 and am giving them all a good test drive!
Just found your video today and thank you for sharing your stitch set up, was very helpful - always looking for new ideas! La-D-Da is one of my favorite designers. Love, love that you share all those links, keeps my floss tube library growing! Only negative I have is - can hardly hear you and my volume is all the way up :( Going over to watch your ideas on floss organization. new friend, Linda
Ahh, thanks so much for joining in with me for my videos. I really appreciate that!! This light has made all the difference in being able to see. I love the size and the price!
I'm in LOVE with that small project bag with thistle fabric.
Loved your video, and loved your devotion at the end. Billy Graham is one of my favorites.
Sara Brunsvold I appreciate your encouragement!
Toni Rivers thank you for your words of encouragement!!
Liza Giaccone That’s GREAT! I’m so very happy that my perfect setup is now in play at your happy stitching spot.
I love your videos and I love that you share your faith with us. You are a blessing!
Thank you for sharing your set up - I followed in the lap table and light - perfect !
Wonderful! So glad you found it helpful. I'm even threading needles with the magnifying light now. Makes life so much easier!
@Carter Layton Instablaster ;)
@Damon Reginald Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Damon Reginald It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
@Carter Layton You are welcome xD
Thank you for sharing the beautiful quilts, cross stitch, embroidery and your faith. You are an inspiration!
Thank you so much! I'm glad I can inspire you!
Thank you.
Thank you for your encouragement! I love that you put stitches and prayer together!
Enjoyed your video. The quilts are gorgeous. Such treasures. God bless 🙏
So enjoyed your video! You have created the perfect portable stitching setting. I also like watching UA-cam or listening to audiobooks while I quilt or Cross-stitch. I especially liked the end of your video… What a lovely devotional and reminder that God is in control.
Barbara Chase thank you for watching and encouraging me. I really appreciate it!
Enjoyed your video very much. Will look forward to watching more.
I finally came back to my channel and just posted a video. Hope you can check it out. thank you!
Beth Gibson I’m so glad you found my videos and I loved reading your comments! Thanks so much for joining me in this UA-cam adventure!
Just found you on Flosstube and I want to thank you so much for sharing your talents with us.
I"m so glad you found your way into my Sewing Room and shared your words of support! Thank you
Thank you for sharing you setup.
Loved to see your stitching set up x
For some reason, your channel showed up randomly as a suggestion and I’m so glad it did. I just loved watching you and all your projects and look forward to watching the other cross stitch and quilting videos. I *especially* loved the devotion you shared at the end - comforting words indeed ❤️
Carey Ray I so appreciate your encouragement! Glad I popped up for you to find!
Beautiful video. Wow on all the project bags they are awesome. Blessings
Thank you so much for sharing those products, I bought them both. Also thank you for the devotional. God bless you!! 🙏🙂
Laura Kelly oh, that’s awesome! I’m sure you will love them as much as I do!
I am enjoying your videos very much Bonnie. Your endings are great - your love for Jesus shines!! In this world, where would we be without him?! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Nebraska!
Gail Blain thank you! I just love that even though you’re far away, we can connect and encourage each other!
Carla Burgoon ahh, Thank you!! So glad to know there is a desire to hear the faith, Bible and devotional I share! So glad you found me!,
Your stitching is so pretty and I love your project bags.
Katherine Adrian So glad you found your way into my Happy Spot! Thank you for taking time to listen to my stories!
Debbie White I’m glad you found me, thank you for your kind words. We can be a proverbs 31 women!
I just found your Flosstubes a few days ago. Starting #1 and just finishing #3. We have a lot in common!!
It was so great to spend some more time with you!!! Love your wips, project bags and your puppy!
Crosshatch Quilts oh thank you!! I’m enjoying getting to know you through your videos and even watched while I needed something soothing to fall asleep earlier this week. Love the idea of you camping and stitching. I did that often when we had our 5th wheel. Peace upon peace!
Hi Bonnie
I just want to thank you for showing your stitching set up. I have been looking for the “perfect” set up when I’m stitching in hand and your recommendations hit the mark! I already had the light and chart holder you use, so I ordered the lap desk and I could not be more pleased! Thanks again for the heads up, I’m a happy stitcher
Margo Ryder so glad that was a good idea for you! Getting a comfy stitching set up makes it so much more enjoyable and relaxing.
Wonderful video!!! Love your enthusiasm for stitching and quilting! I have the Hope For Every Day. We l need that encouragement in these times. I am a huge fan!!! Keep stitching!
Nancy Seefeldt I appreciate your sweet words of encouragement! Thank you for your continued viewing!
Log Cabin Stitcher Oh good.....I get the size 26. The eye is so easy to thread. Hope you like them too
Oh, my stars and garters--how did I get this blessed - to find in you the Mother Lode of information, tips, leads and the delicious pastel esthetics of your dear mother's quilts, and more???!!!

Lynette Peters Ahh, thank you for spending time listening to my stories and sharing in my stitching joy!
I have the same lamp...I bought a pair of kids mittens at the dollar store and slip the magnifier inside one of them..works great..love my lamp. 🙂
melody shinokis that’s a great idea! Thank you for sharing and for watching!
So glad I found you! 💜💜
I am, too! I hope you find lots of inspiration, laughter and joy as you visit with me!
I so enjoy my time watching your videos! Thank you for sharing your inspirational message of peace, choosing Joy is my motto too!! I live the way you phrase it “nevertheless”. Wow I just love your project bags! You’re a very talented lady who can do so many crafts! Thanks so much for your video
Thank you for doing that
,
Nancy Fischer oh, I really appreciate your encouragement on sharing the devotional! This year has been so hard, I want to being some joy and hope to this beautiful community!
Thanks for sharing your setup. I have the same knitters stand. I bought it for knitting but have been using for cross stitch. Love it!
Elizabeth Jones ❤️🙏🏼
Just the info I’ve been looking for & Riley is tots adorbs!
I’m still in love with my set up….but I learned not to adjust the magnifier by the head, just the gooseneck because mine broke and I had to replace. It said right on the instructions not to adjust by the head…..late learner.
Thank u. I bought this lamp because of you. Can't wait to get it
I know you'll love it as much as I do!!! Whoo Hoo.
Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks of cross stitching. I will be ordering a lap stand to try it out, as well as the clip light. Love the ideas of where you have your iPad and where you place your pattern for easy reference. Your project bags are wonderful! Loved watching your video. Be blessed!
Crystal Nieling I hope you enjoy yours as much as I’m loving my set up. Thank you so much for sharing and watching!
Really enjoyed your video I belong to the Little Wren Handworke Series, love it so much! Your cross stitch set up is something I’m going to check into for travel, love it... Annalee Mages I’m so glad you found me! Thanks for watching and for your kind words!
Hello! I’m so glad your video showed up in my newsfeed! I really enjoyed seeing your stitching setup. I want to revise my set up and you have inspired me. Thank you for sharing your mom’s beautiful quilt. It’s so pretty.
Lisa Malkowski I’m glad you found me! Thanks for watching and I hope you find your perfect setup, as well!

I have the same magnifying lamp...I bought a pair of kids gloves at the dollar store and I use one to slip the magnifier inside...works great..Great lamp!
I highly recommend the BrightTech lamp! I have the same one and it is great!
Eva Hernandez I’m so glad I’m saw it on Felicity Stitcher’s great video. There are so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to try to make a choice, I love recommendations. Glad it’s working for you, as well.
Lovely!!
Loving your videos. Loking forward to the journey!
Lovely podcast! Just what I was looking for, a magnifier light! Great info. Keep, safe, looking forward to many more videos.
Judy L Thank you! I’m glad I could share these great items that made my cross stitch more enjoyable!
Your project bags are beautiful! So wish I learned how to sew!
Best Enchanting Decor I know, there are so many lovely things out there and even if you don’t know how to sew, you can check out Etsy for lots of beautiful handmade project bags for sale.
I enjoyed your video and I am going to buy the billy graham book. Haven’t decided if I want it on my kindle or the hard copy.
I find that the hard copy is so lovely! I love the feel of the weight and the book in my hand. I'm and old fashioned girl! I'm glad you found it a blessing!

STITCHIN MY STASH thank you! I just looked on the App Store and there are two apps that look similar one is XStitch plus and the other is a $2.99 one called xstitch app were either of those the ones you were thinking of?
Hi Bonnie,
Another great video!
Hope it works for you as well! The great thing about Amazon are the free returns if it isn't the right fit for you. I think you'll love it, though!
Thank you for the magnifier light review. I need one and wasn't sure which to buy!
Glad it was helpful! I can't believe how inexpensive it was and how much I love it!!
Sheri King That’s a good idea!
I am so happy to have stumbled upon your video today! What a great experience and your devotion at the end was truly a gift! Hugs to you!!! Following you on instagram now!
Toula E. Hubbard I’m glad you found me as well! Thank you for spending the time to listen and respond!
I really enjoyed your video so I subscribed! 💕🥰
Log Cabin Stitcher Just wait until you watch Deb and Liz. Along with Mischievous Stitches they are my biggest enablers.
There is a n app called X stitch that will keep an inventory of patterns, floss/threads, fabric. That way you can keep it on your phone
Sheri King I have heard of that from another viewer. I read the app comments and have been thinking of getting it. Thanks for your suggestion!
Hmm. I have the volume all the way up when I record. I wonder if others are having the same issue with not being able to hear...
Amen & Amen!
Great video... new subscriber... I love your set up... I have one of those clamp lamps as well!
Ahh, thanks so much for joining in with me for my videos. I really appreciate that!! This light has made all the difference in being able to see. I love the size and the price!
