Friendly reminder: the second weapon you get in the game is probably the most complex one. Also, coins don't make projectiles ricoshet, but hitscans. The coin gun is a genius way to make sure you're always on the offensive. In the moments when you need to focus more on movement, or when an enemy is outside your FOV, coins are still an option. It's distinct from traditional aiming, but you still have to practice to learn how they travel under different circumstances.

It's such a good ass way of paying homage to the community.
The Projectile Boost was actually an unintended mechanic. It was briefly patched out of the game upon discovery, but Hakita decided it was cool, so he added it back and gave it a style bonus.
The problem is that a lot of people who started fighting minos prime thought that being as much time on air as possible was the best choice. Turns out, sliding 24/7 when he tries to attack you was the literal solution for it.
True, I figured this out when I fought him with only parries. Turns out you just have to learn each attack, dash and slide to dodge then be in the right position to parry him, after that Minos suddenly became easy for me
I would have figured ol' gabriel would have taught players this. I killed him on like the 4th attempt when I realized you can just slide in a circle and he can't do a thing about it.
Idk if anyone said it already or not but initially projectile boost was a bug (and it honestly still is), but Hakita said "nah it's a feature now" and gave it a name for style. He also kept some of the glitches speedrunners use and if you use them you get a funny quote from Hakita. I fucking love this guy. Insanely genius or geniusly insane.

Great video as always Kelski :D There’s only one little correction I wanted to make, the coins don’t actually ricochet “projectiles”, but instead, it ricochets “hitscans” like both variants of the pistol and its mods, and the railgun mods (except the drill)
I love how Minos prime genuinely wants to kill you so you can’t parry any of his attacks, but Sisyphus prime actually wants to see what you can do before he kills you so he lets you live long enough for you to parry his attacks
Fun fact: there are actually two "alternate" variants for the revolver and nailgun, the revolver can be accessed behind the door with roman numerals on it in 1-4, and the nailgun can be found in 4-4
I love the way you delivered your thoughts of the game with such sincerity and yet an humoristic touch, along with an amazing edition, but i wanna let you know that you forgot to metion the fact of Ultrakill was further inspired by the Devil May Cry series as well (the style meter is the better representation of this) anyways loved the video (especially 7:39 - 7:48 part, it made me laugh so fkn loud), never in my life i thought i was able to identify so much with a UA-cam Video title, you won a new sub and a like of course, blessings.
The best part about Ultrakill is the fact that it has an aim assist mode that counts as a MINOR assist(meaning you still get style ranks for using it), which can be cranked to the MAX... and yet it doesn't make the game any less difficult or challenging to play. That goes to show that aiming is only a small part of the puzzle in regards to skill in ULTRAKILL.
For me the autoaim makes the game even a bit harder, to be honest. It's a great tool that helps out if you have trouble aiming, but it sometimes does not autoaim at the exact thing you actually want to shoot at in the moment, because either they're too far (it's distance limited) or it prioritized something else. It can also make certain trick shots harder, as sometimes it's more benefitial to have your crosshair elsewhere than the enemy to deal more damage. For example shooting rockets ahead of an enemy moving at a high speed or so. It makes the game more accessible but can also limit viability of greater strategies, so I'd say it's a fairly balanced optional toggle lol
I also want to note that Maurice (the levitating stone face) is invulnerable to any explosions (not even shotgun overcharge, and rockets straight up bounce off it), and the white soldiers things parry the explosion damage but do get thrown about. Also in general if you see multiple Maurices in a single room, it's a good idea to use the railgun and/or one of the piercing revolvers to shoot through both of them at once. It's very fun seeing them both drop at exactly the same time lmao
Playing this game I honestly forget its not even finished yet. What Im really hyped for is when it fully comes out, there will be custom levels via the workshop. Anyway, love your videos and keep up the RAD STYLE of your videos :)
Should have just done it on violent, i feel like it's overall better as it introduces a few enemy mechanics, such as mindflayers and Maurices enraging at half health making them attack faster, virtues probably still enrage after a while of not killing them on standard though, making their beam predict where you'll go.

The reason it is so calming for me is the flow state. once I am truly in the moment, dodging and ultraricoshotting without thinking, having perfect awareness of the entire map, including stuff off screen, it is SUCH an exhilirating feeling.
And you come out of it feeling satisfied. Its like a perfectly rationed meal, you are full, but not bloated. I have ultra-killed. Its the exhilarating feel of being a predator in a cage full of prey. Every single enemy is trapped there with me. Like a cat, in a room full of squicky toys.
projectile boost is the must "its a feature not a bug" thing ever. (it was orginally a bug and then hakita was like "hol up let em cook" and boom)
Fun Fact: The shotgun-bullet-parry was not, originally, an intended feature; it was a bug.
The game designed it. :)
You're like one of the best up and coming variety channels
thank you brotha 🤝 i appreciate the kind words!
When kelski realese a new video you know it will make your day
glad i could make the day better 🤝
as somone who hasnt played this game you make it look mildly intresting
you should mildly buy it
It's so weird how it seems he cover a lot in this video, and yet he hasn't showed the secret levels or the harder boss. He did do an amazing job show most of the game, but he hasn't gotten to the desert of the game yet(which I hope you do because they are awesome). Anyway, love your videos and keep up the RAD STYLE of your videos :)
12:29 He wants us to suffer, and He wants us to enjoy it
Should have just done it on violent, i feel like it's overall better as it introduces a few enemy mechanics, such as mindflayers and Maurices enraging at half health making them attack faster, virtues probably still enrage after a while of not killing them on standard though, making their beam predict where you'll go.
15:49 I was drinking and I almost spit all on my monitor for that crash bandicoot masc
11:24 I find it funny that every time Minos says "Die!", he dies.
Finally, just what I waited for
“Wake up, Kelski uploaded Ultrakill”
7:30 no one designed that, it just happened
Kelski can't stop making banger videos 😭
gotta make sure they are worthy for you guys 💪 don’t wanna waste y’all’s time haha
Kelski every vid is worth everyone's time fr you put hella effort in & that's obvious
Ultrakill is like a action movie that requires explosions to keep entertained, except it actually works
Actually clipped out the map once. It spawned me back and said "oops sorry about that." Best thing that ever happened
Me: Nice video
Also me: Wait, he didnt talk about the music
fun fact the “mechanic” where you can parry your own shotgun shots is a bug that hakita decided to keep in the game due to it fitting in so well
Favorite Minos Prime quotes:
“Die!”
“Judgement.”
“Prepare Thyself!”
Video went so hard that youtube crashed
(Btw your content style is amazing)
