It seems like you have a problem when you clamp the case in. That should not stop the back and forth movement of the piston rod. In mine, I can clamp it tight on the case and I have no problem moving the piston rod back and forth.I like this trimmer, I have one..but a couple of things get to me. They may be related. One is, I have a problem maintaining the cutting depth setting. I can set it, run for awhile and it drifts. I have to re-set it after awhile of running. The second thing is how hot it gets after running for 30 minutes o an hour. The heat may have an effect on the case depth setting.
+additude obx If you have the same one as me and your having truble with the setting depth. It maybe that you screw may need replaced. maybe call LYMAN and see what the say.about it getting hot IDK. How may cases are you trimming at a time? 30 mins to hr that be a lot of cases. On mine if you get the handle to tight it will not move. If you have any idea please let me know.I love this case trimer.
Never seen one of those before

Doesn't seem to be holding the cases very securely. I noticed them spinning with the cutter.
+Todd Griffith Was a NEW trimmer and didn't use it alot.
Now when I use it that will not happen caz you right I didn't have it tight enough.
Your supposed to lock the case in. You turn the little black handle where the Case sits and it will lock into place.
