You reference those movies but don't mention the "Another one bites the dust" (aka the song being parodied here) scene from Bohemian Rhapsody lol It only came out 6 years ago.
I don’t remember which artist said it, but the quote goes more or less like this: “I felt honored in the knowledge that I’ve been parodied by Weird Al. That meant I was big enough for him to notice my work.”
Most of the artists he contacts and actually asks them if its ok. He doesn't do it for all artists though because I remember Coolio was not too happy about Amish paradise.
@@billfred9411he did ask coolio but he said no. Al did it anyway and that's where the trouble came in. Coolio wanted the subject to be taken seriously and he felt the parody would take away from his original message. What most artists liked is that after al did a parody their original song pulled in more listeners as well as the parody. I get coolios point but I also love amish paradise .

I remember in an interview with daniel Radcliff that when he was offered the roll, he was really flattered but confused. Then he read the script and was like, Oh! It's THAT kind of documentary. Ok, brilliant! Let's do it! Lol
Hands down the best scene in the movie. Life-long Weird AL fan. Watched it with my 30 something roommate and my 19 year old son. Had to try and name all the characters at the pool party to them... love this movie
I was never a very big Harry Potter fan, but I saw them all, and I watched Radcliff grow as an actor. He has earned my eternal respect for his commitment in this scene. He freaking lip syncing and still the veins in his neck are popping. That’s the very definition of a consummate professional. Here’s hoping that the rumors of him taking over the role of Wolverine are true. We need someone who takes ownership of the role as much as Jackman does.
This reenactment of what actually took place is mind-blowing. It was all improved by everyone in attendance. Such a thing will never happen again in the course of human history.
If one had told me before this came out that Harry Potter, Dwight Schrute and Dewey Finn would all share a screen I would be on the floor laughing hysterically for ages! Truly incredible!

love how weird Al parodies all these different works think he said Prince was the only one that he didn't do a parody of as a he respected his wish of not doing it.
So much talent, I can see why Michael Jackson parodied his work.
Did you mention that as a joke or did you actually mention that? Cause it’s the opposite of what you said.

I am glad that Daniel Radcliffe finally got one of those roles he will be remembered for.
This scene is a brilliant parody of those music biopics like The Doors and Straight Outta Compton where the artist writes a song in about 2 minutes.
Dont forget 'Bohemian Rhapsody'😅😅😅😅
Straight Outta Compton doesn’t do this. Excellent movie though!
There's a scene where Dre and Snoop come up with Nuthin' But A G Thang on the spot

I was extremely skeptical but he does really make a great weird al
I thought he was Al.
It's just the size difference which is off. The make-up people did a good job with the face though.
Weird ain’t it..
Aaron Paul: "Am I a joke to you?"
Also, Weird Al did his singing voice. Dan Radcliffe could never sound like him singing.
Conan O'Brien as Andy Warhol is just inspired casting.
The role Dwight Schrute was born to play!
Rainn wilson is the GOAT

greatest autobiographical movie ever
David Dastmalchian (John Deacon) played that perfectly.
I read that it wasn't Deacon that was at the party but because he wrote the song, they had to write Deacon in instead

I love how rain wailsons face is like “ what now “ through out the whole song 😂
Rainn Wilson dancing is just fantastic.
Thanks for thinking of the deaf and allowing closed captioning.
this is my fave scene from the movie! i love it!
