I am Harry. Big thanks to Nelsi and thanks to all commenters. It was a mouse slip that missed a check late in the game that allowed a mate in 2 against me. I really liked the comment about Mel Allen, as I remember Mel, the Scooter and the Ol' Redhead, along with Vin Scully all broadcasting NYC MLB.
This worked one time I checked with my knight and I wasn’t expecting it to be a mate and it was. (This only works if no piece is protecting that square is it ruining ur position.
Really solid game! I'm a 1600 rapid and have trouble against those bots sometimes if i play too quickly. Usually they're really good at tactics and openings but they fall off in the lategame which is exactly what happened here. And a tip for harry, when he played c3 to establish the pawnpyramid you can also play a bit more aggressively sometimes and play c4 instead, which allows you to play Nc3, usually a great move to get in if you opponent doesn't stop you, even in the London! Remember the saying "the c and d pawns are best friends!"
It always amazes me how computers "think". This 1500 "player" doesn't even try to get the pieces out and castle. Every human 1500 player that I've ever known have known about the importance of development. And it misses a mate in two which most humans above 1100 would see. And even if they didn't, they'd still play Rxg3, because it's a capture as well as a check - everybody loves to capture with a check.
He seems like he's around 800-900 true rating. I can understand wanting to just play bots as I used to be that way. It's daunting to hop into the live game streets when you're learning.
It's difficult to guess a player's ELO based on performance against bots, since games against bots have no time limits, meaning your strength will depend on how patient you are with your moves. That said, my guess is that if Harry started playing live games, after a week or so of regular play he would settle in at around 900 ELO.
Hi Nelsi. Look, I'm a 961, and you helped me a lot in endgames and mid games. Bro, my precision on the endgame was literally 94.1% because of your and lot of peoples channel! Thank you man.
From my experience, beating 1600 rated bots, playing any bot is super frustrating because they're playing with deadly, robotic accuracy, and then do the strangest moves to make the game "even", or on par with your or their rating. Impossible to predict, in the worst way possible
I was playing a game where I was down a rook and a few pawns in a rooks-pawns endgame, and the guy blundered mate in one. I was trying to draw by giving continuous checks as much as I could with my remaining rook, and accidentally checkmated him in the back rank
All intermediate bots seem to have an issue with late game throwing even winning positions I was able to beat Li a 2000 rated bot as a 1000 simply through solid and very simplified positions when the endgame comes she starts blundering past pawns and Queening races
I defeated Li with a Fishing Pole trap, immedaitely moved the Knight into Mate in 5 and since I aanalyzed multiple fishing pole games, I knew the Checkmate pattern, so it was an easy one.
Idea: chess but pawns move backwards you have to put the white pieces on the 8 and the black pieces on the 1. Please put this idea please! I am a huge fan
Yeah but he accidentally beat that bot that was 3 times his elo; He accidentally checkmated that bot (I repeat), Harry didn’t know he was going for checkmate and it’s understandable because I accidentally checkmated people before because that one time was smothered checkmate with the knight and before I didn’t know that was the mate in 1.
Very realistic play from the bot. Every 1500 player is not going to resist the opportunity to get another totally unnecessary queen in order to humiliate their opponent. They are also going to get fed up with being put in check constantly and play blocking moves without thinking them through.
You sure Nelson? Because last time I check in April, I played a chess bot that has 2 times my elo and I beat it by checkmate and my rating went from 400 to 2000 elo immediately after I beat a chess bot that has 2 times my elo rating.
I have an opposite story to yours and this is how it went, I was rated 400 elo in April and I went against the scaredy cat bot that had 2 times my elo or 800 elo and I checkmated the bot and then the next day later as I was ready to play chess, I saw my rating went from 400 to 2000 elo.
Harry plays at a higher level than a 400 for sure. As for the bot blundering checkmate, this does happened because I believe they are programmed to let you win sometimes. The idea is to beat players several times and purposely lose once every now and then to get the players hooked. It’s the same mechanism at casinos. Ps, I play against these bots all the time.
Yeah that’s pretty awesome! And yes, for those of you that don’t play bots too often. Well…… they CAN play terrible moves and blunder the game. Great game Harry!

Nelson asked for predictions about your current ELO. Based on this game, I'm going to go for 1338.
Happy early birthday Harry!
You played Very well for your rating happy birthday too 😀
Happy birthday harry I think your elo is 1200+
@@reubenmanzo2054I'm not so sure about that. I'd say 1337 is more likely.
"Always go for a check. It could even be mate."
I lose a piece
i love this "advice" cuz it's awful
This worked one time I checked with my knight and I wasn’t expecting it to be a mate and it was.
(This only works if no piece is protecting that square is it ruining ur position.
Your tip only works for -1000 players btw
No

Bots under 1600 are unusually bad at end games. Still a great game from Harry! Definitely higher than 446 elo
Nah, I'm 400 and keep getting destroyed by players of my rating. But bots under 1500's are just easy to beat, humans are just too unpredictable.
As the late Mel Allen used to say, "How about that?"
He is at least 800+ considering he blundered his rook and perpetual check
It always amazes me how computers "think". This 1500 "player" doesn't even try to get the pieces out and castle. Nice checkmate, by the way.

This grandpa should be GM
The best learning experience is when you are looking for something but you see something else! Well done Harry!

My accuracy has been 100 before. I play e4 and my opponent resigns. Happens a lot when playing as white

Harry: *Breathes*
Nelson: That’s a good strategy!
His rating is 1000 4:30
Harry played like a true 1100!😮

That was a bot the craziness thing I've seen in chess lately.
Im 800 and occasionally playing and winning against the 1500-1600 bots, didn't think its that rare
Chess Vibes I love love your videos, that’s the way to win the game.
"patzer sees a check makes a check" Bobby Fischer
"I turned the bot into a patzer" Harry

I would say he is around 800-1200 which is really good 👍
If you have a KNIGHT!! never resign
Man this bot is pretty confusing at the end of the game that it self mated itself 😅
Bot replaced 1's with 0's midway through the game, making the accident happen.
Happy early birthday Harry
I think he is atleast a thousand
his rating is at least 1400, no way this is a 446 player
2:56 I probably would have captured on d6, followed by f:e5, opening the e-file and winning a pawn.
Glad I.... checked out this video.
😂
The vast majority of my good moves are by mistake, including sometimes walking backwards into a mating move.
Too my knowledge bots avoid the draw position and will play even bad moves to avoid stalemate by 3 fold repetition.
All intermediate bots seem to have an issue with late game throwing even winning positions I was able to beat Li a 2000 rated bot as a 1000 simply through solid and very simplified positions when the endgame comes she starts blundering past pawns and Queening races

I'd guess his elo is 500 on the low side, 650 on the high. Good stuff, enjoyed the game and comentery
Really enjoyed this video -Thanks for sharing!
Thanks man. I sometimes use a queentrap that I learned from you against a 1600 bot. Nothing more satisfying.
He is better than Mr beast playing chess :O
Idea: chess but pawns move backwards you have to put the white pieces on the 8 and the black pieces on the 1. Please put this idea please! I am a huge fan
Never seen a 1200 bot miss such obvious mocws, let alone, a 1550.
Great job, Harry! By your age, most people have given up on pursuits that require mental acuity and instead are just trying to be president. 😉
Puhh i think real rating around 850
I’ve done this before, im the same rating… I don’t wanna be that guy but it’s fairly common for people well below the bots level to beat it
Yeah but he accidentally beat that bot that was 3 times his elo; He accidentally checkmated that bot (I repeat), Harry didn’t know he was going for checkmate and it’s understandable because I accidentally checkmated people before because that one time was smothered checkmate with the knight and before I didn’t know that was the mate in 1.
I accidentally checkmated a gm bot😂
What the heck?
That's impossible
I was thinking maybe it’s Harry Styles
He is probably 800-1000 or 800-1300 or a strong 800 who knows alot of openings
I think he could be 1300
Very realistic play from the bot. Every 1500 player is not going to resist the opportunity to get another totally unnecessary queen in order to humiliate their opponent. They are also going to get fed up with being put in check constantly and play blocking moves without thinking them through.
especially if the opponent is 400
Great job Harry
Good job man!
Nice video!

great job harry I couldn't beat this bot myself let alone checkmate him on accident 😅
He's still better than me
If nobody else in the comments will say it, Happy Birthday, sir, and congratulations on the cool victory.
I'd say he is ELO 3000+
no way
i am rated 600 and i beat a 2200 bot with 87% accuracy
I can't even beat antonio
Great stuff! I checkmated a 2000 rated bot once (I am 600 elo)
Definitely around 950 elo
Bots are over rated 1500 bot is like idk 6
800 at best lol
Lets play together chess
ok and
Harry plays at a higher level than a 400 for sure.

I beat ding liren bot and im 1200 lol
Im 223 and i beat the 3200 maximum bot
Not even magnus can do Dat. How can you?
@@dagaming9029 bro magnus is 3820 rated in the world championship he drawed the unwinnable game even stockfish say not win win
its easy you just set 1 min and keep playing moves until the 3200 bot runs out of moces
That makes sense
3200
I think 800
noobs.
Yeah that’s pretty awesome! And yes, for those of you that don’t play bots too often. Well…… they CAN play terrible moves and blunder the game.
