This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and my eyes fill with tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
This is a vocalise interpretation of Ave Maria that Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed for Dimash (not a cover), using only 4 original bars from the original composition. The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult exercises for singers and voice experts regard it as a singer’s ultimate test, a skill even the most experienced rarely ever master.
There are at least 10 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. В его голосе есть, что -то такое, вибрация или луч, которое пронизывается до глубины души и сознания. И ты прямо чувствуешь, что тебе стало легче и смотришь на мир с другой стороны. Мир становится прекрасным. У меня всё наладилось. Вам нужно время и все будет хорошо. Всем мира и добра.
Димаш- лекарь наших душ. А врачу надо сначала очистить рану, если там накопилось много гноя, и это бывает больно. Но дальше будет облегчение. Вы получили прощение с этим голосом, и теперь простите себя сами. Жизнь начнет расцветать и заиграет красками. Только слушайте его голос побольше, он-лучшее лекарство для души.

“Ave Maria” by conductor Igor Krutoy is a variation on the opening theme (not the introduction, but the singing part) of Schubert's melody adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note: Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)! Wonderful! Also reminiscent of the "Ave Maria" version of Russian V. Vavilov (Caccine)

I can't explain how I can now breath freely for the first time since 2018 after listening to this song. The x-rays and CAT scans say it shouldn't be possible. It wasn't something I expected or even hoped for. I just let myself become one with the music and it happened. I'm still trying to make sense of it.
