"Just buy a Mora, herpy derp..." LMAO! You're totally hilarious! 🤣I own several Mora's and although I think their half decent knives, I don't put them up on a pedestal though. This video had me laughing pretty hard, thanks very much for that. Well done and Cheers!
Ok, but in reality when you process some fish at fishing or make some sticks for you camping, Mora knives is more ergonomic in handles, and steel very descent, keeping edge good. Milwaukee only in batoning will win, because of soft steel and full tang... However, want to try this milwaukee in real camping situations and fishing or hunting...and maybe it will be alternative to mora...but i don't think so... Thank you sir for your videous! Good quality content!
I have several Mora’s and I like them. I am a competitive knife and axe thrower so I have thousands of dollars in knives.. some ranging from $600 down to cheap ones like the Milwaukee fastback. I had not seen the tradesman. Definitely want to pick one up just to beat around. I don’t like using my expensive benchmades or spyderco knives for random jobs. Thanks for the comparison
Good fun. Thanks! Mora's Garberg ($80 ish in UK) is very sturdy but ironically i think id only want to try this kind of 'stunt' with a cheap tool like Hultafors GK ($8 here in UK). Or bigger blades, or, obviously, an axe ! 👍🇬🇧
Good video. I'm really tired of the Mora worship. I'll take my budget Rough Ryder fixed blades over it any day. True full tang, thicker, more durable, similar to the Milwaukee.
To be fair, they also offer the Pro Robust which is much tuffer than their standard knives at roghly the same price. However, it's not stainless. The Mllwaukee knife is almost 30 dollars where I live and Moras are far easier to get here. But I agree, there are alternatives to Morakniv which are quite good and Milwaukee is definitely one of them. Additionally Hultafors does make great stuff as well. Btw, the rust on the tang of your Mora doesn't surprise me. 12C27 is technically stainlass but it still only contains 13% of chromium.
@@peterbiltknifeguy That's true. You get a lot of knife for the money if you choose the Milwaukee. Especially in the USA. They also have some interesting folders.
It’s because everyone was crapping all over the Milwaukee and saying I should buy a mora instead. 15 dollar knife vs 15 dollar knife. Milwaukee wins. Lol
but that Mora it is from the weakest category of Mora, Corect? Because i can bet that you will never brake a Robust just from that hits...Not even a companion Heavy DUty with longer blade...So, yeah, just make an hones review comparison...
@@peterbiltknifeguy I know that feeling. I been trying to get an Ontario machete and rothco sheath. My shipping is as much as the items. I can’t find them locally
moras are fantastic knives and theyre still cheap even with inflation! but youve obviously picked the worst possible pieces of wood to baton through... ive done some shit with my knives but you cant do everything with one knife. if youre gonna baton get a thicker blad. if youre gonna carve get a thinner blade... and etc.
Good test but not a fair test due to thickness of the blades. The Milwaukee is obviously thicker and stronger. If you wanted to be more fair, you should have purchased Mora Robust or Companion HD. Those two models have thicker blades and are considered heavy duty. Also, I don't know where you bought your Moras from but seems like you overpaid. Again, good test but you have to test apples to apples and not apples to oranges. Take care!
@@peterbiltknifeguy Those two knives are not in the same price range. If you wanted a Mora in the same price range, you would have bought the Companion Heavy Duty. It's $20 just like the Milwaukee. I think your main objective was to destroy the Mora therefore you picked one of their weakest knives to prove your point. Again, unfair test and nothing to do with the price range.
@@peterbiltknifeguy Mora Robust is also $15 but you purposely decided to test one of the weakest Moras just to prove your biased point. I'm not wrong and you're not right.
Chinese steel? There's no Chinese steel. Every steel that the Chinese use has been copied. I'm sure the Swedes will go back to the drawing board because the little thin knife broke being batoned through a big, thick hard log. How moronic!
Eh they both have their place, mora is good for cutting and shaving tasks, you know whittling. Knives like the Milwaukee and shaped like it with it's thickness are more general purpose, thus being a tradesman knife. But I do see your point of edc usage. But camping? I might toss a mora in my bag for its whittling abilities but usually you'd have something larger with you anyway
Don’t get me wrong. I love mora knives. One is always in my vehicles. They are excellent for slicing. But this video was for everyone crapping on the Milwaukee
@@peterbiltknifeguy Milwaukee is definitely more geared towards the everyman edc. Honestly the eldris I believe it's called is the mora I use, it's their smallest but that's basically what I use mora for, small jobs

Awesome. It’s a really tough knife

What you going to do with the broken Mora knives
They already went to the dumpster
@@peterbiltknifeguy no worries there's always next time LOL
Full tang wins everytime. Given the option I'd not ever spend a penny on a knife that's not full tang.
I paid 20$ for my mora companion back in 2018 on Amazon
I dont know we're your getting your moras but there 9 dollars here broski you can get a mora HD for 18 bucks a believe
