Just says a bit about Cohen's acting skills. It blows my mind how he's able to stay in character and not smile or laugh.
@@haijyvelho He say in an interview that he acts stupid before the interview start so he previously convinced the guy that he is really stupid and is not a character. It would not make any sense if he acts normal first and then change at the moment of start the interview.

You can tell that James Lipton already knew who Ali G was with those last words “Respect, Shame on you”. Pretty cool for him to play along with it though.
They're not necessarily censored... I don't know that they're being edited to remove "objectionable" content, so much as to make them manageable as uploadable files.

Not in a video, but there was a radio interview where he claimed he knew something wasn't quite right because his release form said stuff like "you do not have the authority to sue if the person interviewing you is not who they say they are", then he said he'd made up his mind by the time Ali and his crew were about to leave, and approached them and said "if you edit that footage in a way unfavourable to me, we'll see what good the wording in that release form does you".
