Thank you for sharing all your treasures Amanda! I’m so glad you had a good time. Thank you again for taking the time during your vacation to share with all of us who would probably never get to New Zealand. ❤️
Hi, so happy you enjoyed your trip! I’m from Dunedin. So, I actually use those types of tea towels (the gorgeous print/gorgeous fabric that seam too good to be tea towels types) as panels on quilts. Great for baby quilts or wall art quilts. Some you need to stabilise but others are made from such gorgeous linen they are good to go.
I must say that I am disappointed that your vlog has come to an end. I really enjoyed seeing more of you and your life. Looking forward to many more of your videos of any sort! Thank you 😊
I would like to say, I enjoy watching your videos they are refreshing. I’m in USA Virginia and as every day people there is little difference in us other than the geography of course. It’s interesting watching people driving on the different sides of the road. Keep the videos coming. Thanks, Susan
you know...that tea towel would make a wonderful quilt centerpiece and you could get fabrics that remind you of the colors (even if you can't find the print of the native flower/bird) for blocks around it...just a thought. :-) if you don't use it in a kitchen that is. LOL
What a great haul, you bought lots of beautiful and yummy things! I love that colour salmony-pink, see more of it now. That's a lovely bag with those coloured tassels! I love watching your videos including your lovely doggy Charlie!
Chocolate....you can never go wrong with chocolate! Lots of fun stuff! WoodWick candles are pretty popular in the States, currently have a vanilla one as well!
Another wonderful vlog,so glad you had a great time, thank you for taking us along with you x really enjoyed the trip, it cheered me up from this horrible wet cold weather in England x 👍
I collect tea towels too! And you don’t have to have your own house to do that, silly girl. Great haul I wish we had more cath kitsson stuff in USA I love her mugs.
the bird is a Tui though they are not really that colour they are black and white and the yellow flowers just underneath the bird is a kowhai a gorgeous tree that comes out int he spring. When you have time research the sound the tui makes they are just fabulous. Loved seeing my home through another's eyes, aren't we kiwis just so lucky. cheers Kate
Oh my gosh, yes!! You guys are so lucky to live in such a strong cultural country - we loved every minute!! Thanks too for the info you shared! So fascinating!!! :)
Great haul Amanda. I was wondering about your words of wisdom on cruising vacation. My hubbie and I are getting ready to go on first cruise and I understand they are some good things to know about going on ship. Like what is included in fare, what costs extra.? Are excursions covered in the cost of cruise? Also what kinds of things to do onboard ship etc. would be a great vlog I think.
Great questions!! Usually the fare includes accommodation, meals (except specialty restaurants) and entertainment. Things like alcohol, soft drinks, fancy coffees etc you pay for. Shore excursions are an extra cost too. They can be quite pricey so do your research on tours available through Information Centres/Tour Boards in each port you visit. Or just wing it and explore in your own time and your own way! There's always lots to do once you're onboard. You can enjoy all of the activities put on by the Cruise Staff. Or you can do absolutely nothing sat by the pool or on deck somewhere. You can enjoy the public lounges at your own pleasure with a book or card game... The choice is completely yours of what you want to do on sea days! I hope you enjoy your first cruise! Where are you going? What cruise line are going with? We always travel with Princess Cruises. They suit us the best. The food is brilliant, the staff are excellent and their ships are beautiful with out being too over-the-top ridiculous! :)
Yay so much fun!!! Your trip looked amazing 😊 There is a terrible flu going around in the U.S and Canada...make sure you drink lots of ginger and cinnamon with lemon tea!!! And vitamin C....the mom in me is coming out lol Wood sick are great candles...they burn slow and honestly they are worth the money 👍 and I ❤️ your kitchen towel...I would make a pillow out of it!
