Hey there, I know this is a bummer of a comment but Isabel Paige is using your work and claiming it as her own in her most recent video. You can see that she's using the same printed pattern in one scene, but has intentionally flipped it over to hide your text (and name) that appears on them. This is a recurring issue with her and unfortunately most of the creators she takes work from don't have a large audience, so it's impossible for them to receive credit for their work. I linked your video in my video where I speak about this issue so hopefully it can point people in your direction. Hundreds of people have been commenting on Isabel's video in awe of this dress pattern... and for good reason! It's absolutely stunning! But it's a shame that she isn't letting them know where it actually came from, and pretending that she came up with it herself on the fly. There's a possibility that she may start selling clothing (she tends to sell products based on what is popular in her videos, even if its other creators' work) and I wanted to bring your attention to this before anything develops.

This is just what I've been looking for!! I'm actually a beginner sewer but hopefully with your ever so helpful tutorial I CAN make it. I have some beautiful white broider Anglais. Although it does have intentional holes in the pattern I can line the top with plain and maybe just make a slip or line for the skirt part. You ARE amazing and will make this for our holidays. I'm trying it today and will put an update Edit : i have printed the pattern it was so easy to glue the papers and order them i loved that part it was fun It's been two days that I've been sewing the bodice i finished it today and put on the sleeves the steps were easy and clear (i had some problems of mesurement for the boob part but it was easily fixed) I will continue the skirt tomorrow wish me luck beautiful people ! Edit 2 : it's the third or four day i don't remember but i finished the dress and i m absolutely in love with it
I JUST made a dress like this but couldn't find any patterns I liked online. I just watched a bunch of videos and drew up my own pattern. The dress came out great, but now I want to see how our patterns line up and if I need to make any changes and make another dress. This is super helpful

That's awesome! You can do it! Practice makes progress, don't try to get ahead of yourself, take it slow and pay attention to the instructions on any given project and slowly but surely you'll get better and better.

I kept thinking it over and over trying to figure out a simple way to finish the sleeve heads without using bias tape or lining, I usually use that method for rounded patch pocket edges and it struck me that it could work for the curved sleeve head too :D I am so glad you find it helpful!

I was just crying over how hard it was to make a pattern ( and accidently ruining perfectly good white linen trying to use my dress as a pattern)... then this beautiful video popped in on my search bar with a dress I've been dying to make AND a free pattern? Mwuah! ( I'm a beginner, beginner meaning I haven't sewn even a shirt yet which means I'm going to struggle a bit before actually be able to make this. holy shit, this is THE PERFECT dress. i can't tell you how long i've been wanting to buy one like that, but when i finally found one, it was basically completely seethrough (to a point where you could even see nude underwear). then i was like "you know what, that's gonna be my first big sewing project", but i couldn't find a pattern that suited my imagination. thank you so much, especially that it's FREE and looks so beginner-friendly and well-explained!😚❤

On page 4 there is a section near the top that gives estimates. A meter is roughly 10 centimetres longer than a yard. If your size 8 or smaller you probably don’t need more than a meter and a half. If your 10 or more 2 meters will do. That is if you keep the skirt length the same. That’s for 58” wide fabric. If you’re looking at 44”wide you’ll want more. You can google convert the yds to meters. It’s all in that section on page 4.
This is the most well-explained sewing tutorial that I have ever seen! You have a true gift for articulating yourself. You've really mastered the art of giving directions while keeping the video fun and entertaining. And a free pattern on top of all of that! Thank you! You can definitely do this! SO many beginners did this as their first project! The fabric I used is a imitation linen in polyester. I recommend cotton poplin, linen or anything medium to lightweight woven.
So glad to help!! Any woven fabric of a medium weight little to no stretch is great! Cotton, linen, rayon (a little more challenging), chambray, oxford, anything woven :)

Check out page 4 of my instructions file! It gives all the yardage. For 0-8 I recommend 2 yds of 58” wide fabric. More for 45” wide fabric. You can probably get away with a yard and a half though!

I'm going to have to remember that gathering trick for the sleeve head casing! That sewed so smoothly!

I kept thinking it over and over trying to figure out a simple way to finish the sleeve heads without using bias tape or lining, I usually use that method for rounded patch pocket edges and it struck me that it could work for the curved sleeve head too :D I am so glad you find it helpful!

I was just crying over how hard it was to make a pattern ( and accidently ruining perfectly good white linen trying to use my dress as a pattern)... then this beautiful video popped in on my search bar with a dress I've been dying to make AND a free pattern? Mwuah!

holy shit, this is THE PERFECT dress. i can't tell you how long i've been wanting to buy one like that, but when i finally found one, it was basically completely seethrough (to a point where you could even see nude underwear). then i was like "you know what, that's gonna be my first big sewing project", but i couldn't find a pattern that suited my imagination. thank you so much, especially that it's FREE and looks so beginner-friendly and well-explained!😚❤

also, how much fabric did you use in total (if possible in meters)? I'm struggling a bit to get that from the information sheet😅
On page 4 there is a section near the top that gives estimates. A meter is roughly 10 centimetres longer than a yard. If your size 8 or smaller you probably don’t need more than a meter and a half. If your 10 or more 2 meters will do. That is if you keep the skirt length the same. That’s for 58” wide fabric. If you’re looking at 44”wide you’ll want more. You can google convert the yds to meters. It’s all in that section on page 4.

Thank you! You can definitely do this! SO many beginners did this as their first project! The fabric I used is a imitation linen in polyester. I recommend cotton poplin, linen or anything medium to lightweight woven.

So glad to help!! Any woven fabric of a medium weight little to no stretch is great! Cotton, linen, rayon (a little more challenging), chambray, oxford, anything woven :)

Check out page 4 of my instructions file! It gives all the yardage. For 0-8 I recommend 2 yds of 58” wide fabric. More for 45” wide fabric. You can probably get away with a yard and a half though!
