We can understand your frustration…at 29 weeks premature Josh had bleeding on his brain twice - we were left in the dark for around 8 weeks - thinking and feeling the worst. He also suffered a host of health issues up to 4 years old…but once he began to truly ‘fly’ life began to resemble some normality for us all and all other hopes & dreams came flooding back - only this time and after so much worry they held a whole new gravity & meaning. Stay strong - in good time no doubt yours will too! But in the meantime… we’re sending you all our love and positivity ❤🦋
What a truly encouraging comment Holly from.somebody who has been where they are now.your Josh is so full of life they can feel confident things will be better in time. Cheers warren
Our grandaughter was born at 26 weeks (weighing nearly 800grams) lots of care and hospital visits. Lots of worry and concerns over if she would actually get through to her proper birth date (she had heart problems and needed Oxygen for a few months) and also what the future might bring. She is now 3 1/2 a real live wire and a real bright clever girl. You know you are making the correct decision, you can always buy another boat, you can't put your child at risk. We look after our Grand daughter 1 day a week (was 2 until she started Nursery). It severly hampers our sailing (we live 2.5 hours away from our boat in Gosport) but wouldn't change it. We hope everything goes well in the future (maybe CODAHA the Camper van?)
Dom mate, my heart went out to you that you felt that you had to make this vid. We have loved watching your adventures on Cadoha over the last few years but more importantly we have loved watching your evolution. You owe us no explanation and you have our gratitude for sharing your journey with us. SV Abacus wish you all the best and we look forward to seeing your next adventures when this blip has passed.
Crikey, this was a tough one to watch. This has always been one of my favourite UA-cam channels and on reflection on watching this video, it was less due to the sailing content and more due to the refreshing authenticity that you both bought to us all. Family and health always come first, I join everyone else in wishing you all the best of health and happiness as this little part of your journey end and the next part starts. You’ll look back and realise that this was the right decision.
Sorry that you have to sell the boat. Always loved your videos and hope you make more at some point. Im coming back to the UK so we could have a pint down the West Country.
I’ve loved watching your adventures unfold too, always super inspiring to watch. It would be our pleasure to sunk a couple of jars and hear about some of the most memorable parts of your travels. All the best and safe sailing. 🍻
So sorry to learn of all of the medical issues, but know that you are making the best decisions for the family. There will always be time to sail again in the future and the health of your family comes first. Godspeed and praying that everyone heals completely.😊

Hi , our hearts go out to you and your family , we all hope every thing goes ok for you all .Thank you all for the fun, trials , repairs , lobsters, and the places you have visited , not far from home , yet you have had so much fun . THANK YOU ALL DOM,CARLY,HANK and HUDSON , for sharing .😉❤👍👍👍🐕
I started watching you in the dark days of Covid and it was watching channels such as yours that helped me decide to acquire my own boat on which I have been happily living aboard for almost 18 months. I especially remember your generosity during Covid, offering your ears and shoulders to those who might be struggling through lockdown. You are a class act of a family that deserves the very best that life has to offer and I hope that 2025 brings all of that and more. I hope, also, that you will, one day, return to your sailing dream. I'd been hoping you'd make it to the Emerald Isle so you're going to have to get another boat some day and make it happen! Thank you and my very best wishes to you all for the future.
Doing what is needed for you all to thrive is what matters. Thanks for sharing your adventures in the past and hopefully one day we'll get to see more with all 3 of you in the future.
Dom, can't imagine how it was for you to make this video, emotional enough for me to watch it. I work as a doctor and I know how life changing health issues can be, but that doesn't take away from how painful this must be. So impressed with your strength and character throughout all this. Good luck, wish you well and look forward to following whatever (if anything) comes next.
Good luck. We wish you and your family all the best. Your decision makes perfect sense. Thank you for your videos which we have enjoyed now from the beginning.
Don't feel bad for selling... this beautuful boat. We will fallow on the next story and as long as the family is healthy will be there again. Good luck 😊❤ take care
You have your priorities absolutely right. There’s really no choice but to move on. I do hope that you’ll use this channel to keep us informed about your future. Thank you so much.
This American cousin will sadly miss following the Cadoha saga. Looking forward to the day when the family has regained good health and we see you back on UA-cam and back on the sea. Wishing you all the best.
I rarely comment on videos, but I’ve watched your channel on and off for years. I’m sorry to hear of your challenges, but I believe you’ll meet them with the strength, courage, and determination you’ve demonstrated on your channel. God bless and I hope to hear of your sailing adventures in the future.
Mate, honoured that we have shared your story, humbled by your strength to share. Thanks for inviting us into your story, all the very best to you and your family. Look forward to seeing your adventures! Long may they continue.
It's understandable, because family always comes first, good luck for the future and may you be able to buy another sailboat. We'll be here cheering you on! Thanks for sharing.
I've loved following your adventures and lives over the last couple of years. It sounds like you're making the right decision, and I hope all three of you the absolute best. Keep us posted on the new adventures.
Life is what happens , your experiences and how you deal with them are your story. I am happy you have brought me along on your journey. Proud of you . Best wishes on your journey.
Thank you, a massive thank you for the open sharing you did in this video. I know a 10 week early "premie" who has graduated from one of if not the TOP Universities in the world. I send you all positive energy. And again, thank you for sharing. It helps many people with many different challenges deal with life. Peace brother!
My best wishes to the four of you. I can't imagine how painful this video was. For what it's worth, Dom, I think you've made the only sane decision. And you'll all get through this patch. There'll be a lot of people cheering you all on until the other side of this change!
This has been an unbelievable difficult watch but no where near as difficult as its making ! Of course the decision you have made at this milestone in your family life is absolutely correct. You have quite a journey ahead of you and I hope all goes so well and we see you again soonest.
This was a horrible thing to go thru for you. I pray you, all three of you come thru this and live well as well as prosper. May the Lord keep you in his hands!
So shocking to hear about the personal situation and the selling of the boat, which you will sell in no time. You had wonderful times sailing with it that you generously shared with us and those moments will live forever in your memory . THANK YOU! Best wishes for the future!!
Fantastic film making, inspiring story telling, the love of a real family that has developed in front of all of us and that family now takes absolute priority. I know that all of us that have been on your journey with you, support you and understand. Thank you all for the stories so far, we wish all of you well and hope that you get additional strength from the amazing words of support from your followers, friends and family. Once you get in a position to spend even a little time afloat you all will be welcome aboard Quokka .
Your videos were such an amazing discovery, they really inspired me to do my Day Skipper and try and get out there and do some sailing. I loved watching them (every single one!) and your content was always incredible and your whole story was/is inspiring. I will miss you guys masses, for now, and wish you all the best with everything you're going through. I'm sure you will come out the other side and the story will continue and there will be so many of your supporters willing you on and waiting for the moment when you post once again, when the time is right. I have a Carly dog lead and also a mini shackle bracelet and though they show absolutely no signs of wearing out, I do hope she will one day be able to continue splicin' and selling those lovely items again too. All the very best guys, and thank you. Alex, Ty Gwyn Cider x
Hey you’re both still young and have so much time to enjoy your lives.. UA-cam can still play a part in that, but your family and health is the most valuable thing in life.. I’ll keep watching (and the camping channel) Best of luck with everything matey!
Oh I could feel your pain Dom, but definitely the right call for your baby boy. All the best with your land life and look forward to future adventures in here xx
May you find joy and happiness on England’s green and pleasant land with health restored. You have brought to audiences the effort and application of your till now life with humility and grace which is in striking contrast to other similar channels. You have much to offer each other and the wider world. May your adventures be many.
So sorry to hear how things are but you've made totally the right decision. All good luck and, most importantly, all good health for all three of you, Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this testing time.
Tough video to watch and I truly admire your honesty and bravery. Every now and then lives deals a tough hand but you’ll all be fine in time. It’s only time. After the rain ALWAYS comes the sun… you’re a strong guy. Your fa,ily will be fine and in time you’ll be back on a fun yacht.
Being an 82 year old from the other side of the pond let me take a moment to state I found your channel when you first started and have followed ever sense. Although I'll miss your adventures on thst fabulous boat the main reason for following has been your personality sufficient to say yes I will continue to follow I do honestly believe that you could have a career in sone type of entertainment broadcast. Thanks looking forward to your continued posts all the best to you and your wonderful family including Hank.
I'm so sorry to hear this but understand completely as to the why's. You, Carly, Hudson and Hank please take care and have a wonderful life. Much love your way.
Oh gosh, I feel for you all, you have put so much into the channel and the boat, I was 2 months premature in the 1950’s when the chance of survival was near zero. By chance the local hospital had just taken delivery of 3 new fangled incubators and I survived. I gave my parents loads of concern in the early days but here I am 70 years later. So I wish all of you all the best. Should you ever be in need of a day out on the water, drop me a message and I will take you out in Antrice.
Warm thoughts to your family. I started watching you through the “stay at home era”. The first memory was Dom out in his dinghy on a terrible day, or so I recall. Just Dom telling one of his stories. When the time is right I will be there with open ears and eys to watch another family adventure. Hope u keep us posted when you can. You have done great work to the boat and I’m sure the right family will be found to carry on its Legacy. Take care and I hope the upcoming season is filled with family cheer! 🇨🇦
So sad you have sell your boat...really enjoyed your channel...but health and family comes first...I wish you and your family well... you're all in our prayers.
We live on our Island Packet full time, the last nearly 4 years now, toured the U.K. Sailed to the Caribbean, spent the hurricane season up the East Coast of the US, another season in the Caribbean, returned to the U.K. this summer and are currently on the Clyde hauled out in Ardrossan refitting. The point is we are 69 & 71. you have so much time to follow your dreams
Oh Dom, my heart goes out to you. It must be so sad, but it's the right decision. Totally understand that you will need to focus on your health and Carly and Hudson as a priority now. This has been my favourite you tube channel. I watched from the beginning and admire what you have achieved. So humble, not mind admitting to knowledge weaknesses , but made up for with your determination and practical skills. Well done. I loved what you and Carly have done, in refitting the boat, but also your incredible filming which has been so professional. I have loved it all, especially the humour, and Hank of course. But you have to prioritise your health and looking after the family now. Best of luck to you all for the New Year.
I have learnt so much from watching you guys. Your website provides a blueprint for some of my cruising and watching your family grow has been inspirational. But you are obviously making the right decision and I'm sure we will all keep following your journey whether its afloat or on wheels. good luck with whatever you decide to do
Respect Dom, you're doing exactly the right thing, that which I should have done and didn't at one stage. Takes a genuinely strong person to make a tough decision like this. Well done Sir, you're all going to be fine....👍👍👍
Am a full time cruiser and hung out with many cruisers in out of the way places. Contrary to many books and professional advise, consensus is that 36 to 38 ft is the optimal range (smaller tends to be limited on tankage & storage - bigger boats add a lot of complexity).
We wish your little family the very best and hope all the medical issues improve quickly. We’ve watched you from the beginning (and even the boat in the previous owners channel before that). You’ve done a great job and been a pleasure to watch. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. 🥂 cheers to your next family adventures.
hate to see you leave this beautiful trident , but no question that you’re doing the right thing by prioritizing your family’s needs…hope you guys all stay healthy and happy until you make your return! cheers!
I can see that many people have already said what I too was going to say to encourage you. Thank you for your honesty, and example of care for your family. I have also appreciated watching your adventures and look forward to more in the future.
I am sure you will have another yacht maybe bigger or smaller, but for now, as you explained, you are making the right decision for the family's good. Sending positive thoughts for the future.
Thank you for all the wonderful views of sailing in England what wonderful memories. Hudson,& Carly have truly had a lot to deal with my thoughts and good wishes go out to them for continued health and happiness. I hope you find a way to share your journey in the, future if and when the time is right. Fingers crossed Cadoha sells for you it is a special yacht. Cheers warren
It’s easy enough to understand your decision. We have enjoyed your candid narration and wonderful film work. We have learned so much about the British coastal waters on your channel. We wish you and Carly little Hudson and of course Hank all the best. Please keep us posted on how things are going, of course we’ll be thinking of you. Cheers and Happy Holidays.
So sorry. Have enjoyed following your adventures, but sounds like you are absolutely making the right, although tough, decisions. Wishing you all the best
Totally get the idea of keeping close to a hospital for Hudson and you two. I've had four heart ops since 2019 and if I visit people in France, where we live, I always ask how far is the nearest hospital. Stay strong Dom❤
It is what it is, you have to look after your family. We have watched all your videos from the beginning and usually save them to watch when we are cruising on our boat (Vancouver 27). You shouldn't have any problems selling Cadoha the Trident Warrior is a real blue water boat, and you have some very useful upgrades. We hope you all get better soon, I know how heart wrenching it is with the little one in hospital (Issy has spent many weeks staying in the hospital with one of our little ones, who is now a grown 37 year old who has his own gym, and is the peak of fitness). We look forward to seeing what comes next from Cadoha, your videos are always put together so well, thanks for taking the time to make and share them. Good luck and fair winds. From Jamie and Issy.❤
Well done Dom, that must have been a difficult one for you both. It was not totally unexpected, but it is the best decision and I wish all the very best to you and your precious family.👍
I have truly loved your channel. Your presentation from a learning perspective is incredible. I have had some real perspective from what I call the 'warrior' culture, Both in life and in sailing. A Warrior is a person who recognizes all of the things that have to be done, shoulders their pack and marches on in the best way that they have chosen. You Sir, along with your beautiful wife, are that warrior couple. I wish safe travels, fair winds and following seas in your futer together with the little one.
Have really enjoyed following your adventures with Cadoha, sounds like the right decision for you all, no matter how hard. Wishing you good luck and good health.
sorry to see your selling your boat , but you are doing the right thing , family comes first. Get well ALL of you , it's been great sharing your life at sea with us all the good bad and the laughs, I look forward to seeing you on the water again when the times right, 😢
Oh lordy with so much on your plate you are putting on a brave face. Chin up. You are young and there will be a new boat when you are ready.look after your family and yourself. You have a taste for YT so hope to see you all bouncing back very soon.
Its a beautiful boat. I know you dont want to let her go, but its a good move. you will have the chance again another day. its a small sacrifice for your family. I will miss your informative and fun sailing videos, and I wish you all the very best. Christian, from Oregon, USA with hope and love!
Wishing you, Carly and your precious bambino, Hudson (and Hank!), all the very best for the future! May Hudson's health go from strength to strength! 🤗🙏🩵 Thank you for sharing your absolutely wonderful adventures with us! I've certainly thoroughly enjoyed it. 🤗🙂 Take care xxx🌻
Sad to have to say goodbye to Cadoha 1.0, but im sure there will be a 2.0 whether its in the form of a Van, Boat, House! You can always buy more Adventures Dom & Carly but you cant buy more time, now is the time, like you say, to concentrate on your family's health to allow for more adventures in the future! What an adventure it has been up to now, thanks for sharing with all of us! We will stay subscribed to see what comes next! Have a wonderful Christmas and I hope the sale goes well and you get good money! Chris, Poppy, Bentley & Monty!
I'm so sorry to hear you're selling the boat. I have absolutely loved your videos. That said, I completely understand. I can tell that this is an emotional time for you. Take care of your family and be good to yourself.
You are doing the right thing. Well done you. As my friend Claudia said to me when I too had to give up my boat "the sea will wait for you, it will be there when you are ready to return". Much love to you all.
Devastated to hear as I have really enjoyed your sailing content but feel you are making the right decision. I look forward to hearing that you are all well and enjoying life ashore and urge you to keep making content as you have a real talent for it. I have a GS43 in Beaulieu so if you fancy some sailing while without your own boat do reach out.
aww mate you and your family are such an inspiration to me (2yrs into a 6yr boat plan) wish you and your family all the very best fella Ill keep you all in my thoughts Merry xmas and the very best new yr
Gutted for you. Have followed Cadoha ever since anchoring next to you off Fishcombe Cove. But I've no doubt that you'll thrive whatever you all do. Good Luck!
Guys, I totally understand why you have come to this decision and I 100% agree with you. Hudson's wellbeing and you both roo is absolute priority, I have 4 of my own and would do the same. As you say, it's not the end but the start of a new chapter in your 4 lives. It would be great if you can post some videos from time to time be it travel vlogs or just a catch up of how you all are getting on, I and I am sure everyone else will look forward to seeing them. Take care and the best of luck x
I totally understand, one of my triplets had a heart defect and a grade 4 bleed that radically changed our lives years ago. As a parent you do what you have to do. We will miss you guys though and will keep you in our prayers.
Very sorry to hear about the changes in your lives, but family comes first and truthfully you have the best reason for leaving your boat of all the other youtubers that that I have seen that have left their boats. You've been on the top of my list of favorites almost since your first video and I hope to see you back on the new and upgraded Cadoha II sometime in the next half dozen years. Very best of luck with all your challenges and take care.
Thank you for inspiring myself and many others to get out there and enjoy sailing. We watched you guys every Sunday religiously, to listen and learn. You have helped us take our boat and sail further than we ever thought possible. Currently, we are in roses spain, waiting for a weather window to bring the boat through the canals of france. After sailing from the UK to france and portugal. Love to you and the family, and look forward to your new adventures. The stockwells
Hi Dom your health and the health of your family is the most important thing, boat life is something you can come back to in a few years. regards to you and your family and take care
Totaly heartbreaking 💔 though I understand your situation and frustration. May the new owner understand what you actually have done to this very robust vessel 🙏🏼
So sorry to hear that you are handing Cadoha on, but there is no real choice to make other than that. I hope that all three of you regain / gain fit less and good health and look forwards to seeing how your adventures continue in the next few years. Long Life, Fair winds and following seas be with you all. I'll be watching for as long as you make videos of your Adventures.
Best of luck on the sale of your boat and for the future for all in the family look forward to seeing more adventures when you have everything sorted Dom, take care and Fair Winds
Big cwch from Wales to all of you. We’ve enjoyed your adventures and appreciated your openness and honesty. Take care and enjoy each day. Fair winds ⛵️
That was a tough one to watch and I’m sure even harder to produce😢. Thank you so much for sharing, for always being real and showing us the best of what a couple can be. The two of you together is an inspiration and a joy to follow and I will continue to do so no matter where your journey takes you. You are clearly making the right decision here and I wish you all the best for your little one and yourselves. The world will be waiting for you when you get out on the other side of these health issues and you are young, there is time for adventures. I will miss Hank though, he is just the best.
From SV Golden Morn and SV Facade : thank you for the wonderful memories of the CaDoHa journey to date; thank you for the invaluable insights about boating gear, your world-class anchorage guide (priceless). Thanks for the sincere accounts of your family's joys, trials and travails - showing such a personal, friendly trust in your subscribers. Thank you for showing the beauty of the south coast of England in such a glorious manner. Bless you, Dom & Carly. 👀We will keep an eager eye on the horizon for any sign of CaDoHaHu 🖖
Thanks for all the videos you have posted Dom, we’ve enjoyed every one. My wife and I had to give up sailing when our kids were born, it seemed like a sacrifice at the time but it wasn’t as being with the kids was the best. Now they are in their 30s and very busy so we sail all the time - we have a Southerly 35rs and day boats. Good luck with Hudson, fingers crossed for him, you and Carly, and Hank of course.
Fabulous content over the last few years. I met you briefly in Dittisham when we were landing our dinghy. Really nice that you have been so open about finances and the difficulties of families on boats. Amazing, how many people make it look so easy - I dont think so!
Its a sad day to move on from the vessel you have loved, improved, and lived aboard, for so long. But family comes first, and it has to be the right call for right now. Thank you for all your brilliant videos, and we look forward to the next chapter. All the very best to you all; and look forward to seeing you back on the water in some form in due course!
You have made a decision to suit your priorities, it is so important to be proactive over these things, to minimise risks and distractions. I hope all your health issues improve, it is so important to ensure you are giving yourselves the optimal recovery and ongoing good health. The upgrades to Cadoha are great, the Diesel Dipper is certainly something I would specify. Then the electrics, batteries, solar, stove, etc. all take a huge amount of work to plan, specify and install. Thank you for sharing your adventures on Cadoha. Look forward to hearing whatever you can manage in the future. Do put up a donation link again, sometimes it's good to contribute.
So sorry to hear about your family. Praying for you all. Can imagine your stress levels are through the roof. Praying for you all and I hope the boat sells quickly for one less thing to worry about
Understand the why but we'll surely miss your videos until you come back. We wish you and Carley all the best moving forward and hope to see you back again!
What a truly encouraging comment Holly from.somebody who has been where they are now.your Josh is so full of life they can feel confident things will be better in time.

@ thanks Warren…lovely to read that ❤️

Really sad to hear the boat has to go, but family comes first and totally makes sense the way you put it.

@CadohaAdventures if I had 50k spare I'd buy her dom to own a piece of history
So sorry to learn of all of the medical issues, but know that you are making the best decisions for the family. There will always be time to sail again in the future and the health of your family comes first. Godspeed and praying that everyone heals completely.😊

we will miss u ,but, it’s the right call.
Best of luck to u and family Dom.

God bless you aii including Hank. Embrace the next chapter and trust all continues to get better and better.
Your priorities are correct. Family first. I hope all goes well in the future and look forward to seeing you all back here before too long ❤
It's understandable, because family always comes first, good luck for the future and may you be able to buy another sailboat. We'll be here cheering you on! Thanks for sharing.
I've loved following your adventures and lives over the last couple of years. It sounds like you're making the right decision, and I hope all three of you the absolute best. Keep us posted on the new adventures.
All three???? Is he selling Hank with the boat? Surely not........
Life is what happens , your experiences and how you deal with them are your story. I am happy you have brought me along on your journey. Proud of you . Best wishes on your journey.
Our hearts go out to you and your beautiful family!
Dom sorry to hear about your family’s health issues. Taking care of family is by far the most important. Prayers for the three of you.
I’ll keep watching (and the camping channel)
Best of luck with everything matey!
So sorry to see you go, but totally understandable. Thank you for taking us along on your wonderful journey.
But you are obviously making the right decision and I'm sure we will all keep following your journey whether its afloat or on wheels. good luck with whatever you decide to do
All the best to you, Carly and the littlun!!! Been great to follow your adventures and im sure there will be more to come, when you’re all ready…
Sad but hey ho let's hope the future includes a bigger boat at some stage. Love the videos you guys deserve the best.
Respect Dom, you're doing exactly the right thing, that which I should have done and didn't at one stage. Takes a genuinely strong person to make a tough decision like this. Well done Sir, you're all going to be fine....👍👍👍
So sad that you are going through this. Right decision to sell. God keep you all safe and get well. ❤️❤️❤️
Good luck with the sale and look forward to the next chapter of your adventures in the future.
Am a full time cruiser and hung out with many cruisers in out of the way places. Contrary to many books and professional advise, consensus is that 36 to 38 ft is the optimal range (smaller tends to be limited on tankage & storage - bigger boats add a lot of complexity).
Sorry to hear about your medical issuses. Wishing all the best to you and your family and a happy future!
We wish your little family the very best and hope all the medical issues improve quickly. We’ve watched you from the beginning (and even the boat in the previous owners channel before that). You’ve done a great job and been a pleasure to watch. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. 🥂 cheers to your next family adventures.
hate to see you leave this beautiful trident , but no question that you’re doing the right thing by prioritizing your family’s needs…hope you guys all stay healthy and happy until you make
your return!
Love to you all. Thank you for all the amazing videos… So far 💙
You’ll never regret putting family first, at some point we learn they’re all that matters. Enjoy the time with them 🙏
Well done Dom, that must have been a difficult one for you both.
Get well ALL of you , it's been great sharing your life at sea with us all the good bad and the laughs,
I look forward to seeing you on the water again when the times right, 😢
Oh lordy with so much on your plate you are putting on a brave face.
You have to do what you have to do. Going to miss you guys doing your walks. Good luck and hope your little fella get better.
Wishing you, Carly and your precious bambino, Hudson (and Hank!), all the very best for the future!
May Hudson's health go from strength to strength! 🤗🙏🩵
Thank you for sharing your absolutely wonderful adventures with us! I've certainly thoroughly enjoyed it. 🤗🙂
Take care xxx🌻
I have a GS43 in Beaulieu so if you fancy some sailing while without your own boat do reach out.
hard decisions , and wise . thanks for sharing . Best wishes for full recovery for Hudson .
aww mate you and your family are such an inspiration to me (2yrs into a 6yr boat plan) wish you and your family all the very best fella Ill keep you all in my thoughts Merry xmas and the very best new yr
Well I wish you all the very best with your future plans. Sometimes life throws curved balls. I know from personal experience. Good luck.
Good luck. Hope you will all be fit for sailing soon. All the best!
So sorry to hear you are all facing these challenges. Wishing much health and happiness to you all.
