- A simple fun project for all, Metal Throwing Cards. Making Massive Anime Swords is fun, but sometimes its good to mess around with smaller stuff.

A tip with throwing cards is that its more about the spin then the foreward momentum. Hold it by the corner with two fingers and flick it foreward but focus more on getting a good spin on it than throwing it foreward, it take some time to get the hang of it but when you do the spin will carry them foreward without much effort. Though i usually use regular cards and not metal oness.
You definitely have a good point! I'll work on that thank you!
Fun. Definately brushing up on your 52 pickup game.
Haha yeah... most definitely
very well done!
Thanks!
Throwing edged weapons tend to stick better on woods end grain. Looks like you are using plywood. Food for thought :)
Interesting, I definitely think I need a new target!
Bro really said “i’m too weak” ?
Like he can swing ACTUAL DRAGONSLAYER
Hahah whoops... I guess you're right lol
there are many kinds of strength, you could one hundred percent way be strong in some ways while staying weak in others
you could probably etch these so they double up as actual playing cards
I was thinking about that! It'd definitely make them so much cooler!
We both know that tree has been through so much more than a playing card 👀
Shhhhh...
Bro's really tryna be Hisoka
Pfftt... waaa nooo... but then again, perhaps.
@@haletheblacksmith If only you could find an ability that has the properties of both rubber and gum.
This is a cool idea for sure. I saw a video of someone recreating a "throwing cross" from Castlevania game. It's very easy to make and easy to use. I can share the link on the discord channel if you are interested
I actually saw this video come up as well. I didn't watch it yet but that'd be such a fun idea!
6 pack of metal ones on amazon 8 bucks just need to sharpen them👍
Interesting! It was free for me to make these lol
you gotta level up your DEX mate, you've been putting all your xp into STR
in all seriousness tho, if you wanna throw it like a knife, keep your wrist stiff and ease your force. once you get a feel for the balance of it, it'll fly smooth
Loll that makes sense!
That's new
I enjoy new things, what can I say!
Try colouring the cards so you don't lose them as easily. If I remember right, your distance from the target plays a big part in it. Not sure if it applies to cards
The distance is important for throwing knives because those rotate and only have one or two pointy ends. With universally sharp edges like with shuriken, chakrams or these cards, it doesn't matter much.
Colouring them is a great suggestion, but with distance I believe these cards shouldn't have much trouble sticking no matter the edge. I think my struggle is keeping the card edge first when throwing and not having it flop to one side.
Probably should read up on throwing stars instead of trying to throw em like knives. A rectangle is gonna be much more difficult to make stick since it's not evenly shaped or balanced.
You're definitely right. But I'm not throwing them like a knife, more like a card. But perhaps I should try throwing them like shurikens
I still don't want to get hit with one of those whether it sticks or not. lol
Haha yeah that's fair!
I think your thumbnail misspelled the throwing :D
Wow... story of my life
@@haletheblacksmith Haha all good. I seriously double and triple check my own thumbnails (on the channel that does longform content anyway) because I have a horrible habit of misspelling
