There should be an interview test just like for IT sector employees when they join any Party or take ownership of MLA/MPs, tests like: 0. Phone screen round 1. Psychometric test 2. Aptitude test 3. Behavioral round 4. Team Compatibility Round 5. Hr Round 7. And when they leave an Experience letter of previous party I hope, this is how people will realise how difficult it is to become an IT employee.

I don't think congress is doing it. They just came to power when IT industry is about to enter massive slowdown. They will eventually settle at 12 hrs and try to show They have done a favor to us. Right now IT is only looking at costs and they don't mind if people leave. They will hire someone else with lower salary who is willing to work 12 hrs. During 2008 slowdown also, shifts were increased to 10hrs. This slowdown would be far worse.
The IT sector graph is plateauing and wages stagnating. Hence the powerbearers turn to these stuff. The tech guys and gals may try to claim ownership over AI and ML but that stuff is way beyond the generic IT sector in India.

I've been working in Bangalore for roughly 6 years now and honestly, the system here is surprisingly and increasingly against the common interest of IT/ITES employees. I love the city largely but it is just the absence of quality, equivalent and similar job opportunities up north which is stopping me from leaving Bangalore. It's becoming more and more difficult and frustrating to make a living here. Sorry state of affairs.
Maybe the govt also need to spread the IT jobs across India, so that people can work nearer to their hometowns and not move over to foreign lands and worry about local culture and traditions. Only those that want to move, can move and need to learn the local customs.

Even religious institutions like Ramkrishna Mission get attacked by land mafia. Moreover a huge SSC scam came up recently and the list is countless. Sir you care about middle class, and the middle class is forced to migrate out of the state. During recent Bangladesh crisis, CM chose to provide refuge to affected people of some other country. I'm an IT employee, watching it from Bangalore. We can't tell you how miserable salaried person's life in Bangalore has become these days. And please, it's not about Congress or BJP. Whomever is in the power, their only intention possibly is to kill the middle class. Today it took me 1h20m to return from office which is just 7kms away. Potholes on the roads are so big that there goes no day without watching an accident/mishap. IT jobs are already highly stressful and demanding. On top of that since past 1 week (Local reservation bill, Union budget and 14 hours workday) feels like we don't even deserve to live!
Better to buy a good cycle from decathlon, and ride it, 7 Km is not much, at the end you will earn health and save some money,which were spent on car fuel and maintenance. And the riding cycle will be stress buster, if one starts, everybody will be inspired.

Ultimately the factory was closed and relocated in another state. Who gained from this actions definitely not the employees. Daily spent 4 hours avg in travel so total number of years in travel 4 years ( assuming 5 days week ) actual life for self = 40-(16+10+4+5) = 05 years only!! that to be with zero social security and infinite stress tension and anxiety ... !! And now 70 hours per week?? Corporates are pay paying very less taxes than individuals and they given such advice .??

Why not IT people go for strike otherwise they will suffer. They should demand job stability. If any company fire then company should give three month full salary and proper reason to fire the employee. IT people also demand not more than 8 hours of work in a day and 40 hours of work in a week. They should also demand that govt. Should fixed the minimum salary structure for the freshers also below that range no company can hire. They should not go to work till the things resolved. One person can't change the things all IT people should come together.
Normally there are 3 shifts in IT/ITES. By having 14 hr shift they will remove 1 shift, thereby eliminating 1/3rd workforce, so serious savings for IT majors....no concerns for employees at all.
I worked in bangalore for 9 years.. I am damn sure that most companies might not have enough projects to make employees work for 14 hrs a day all the time. On an average 3 to 4 hrs are wasted in traffic every day.

I don't think congress is doing it. They just came to power when IT industry is about to enter massive slowdown. They will eventually settle at 12 hrs and try to show They have done a favor to us. Right now IT is only looking at costs and they don't mind if people leave. They will hire someone else with lower salary who is willing to work 12 hrs.
During 2008 slowdown also, shifts were increased to 10hrs. This slowdown would be far worse.

I've been working in Bangalore for roughly 6 years now and honestly, the system here is surprisingly and increasingly against the common interest of IT/ITES employees.
I love the city largely but it is just the absence of quality, equivalent and similar job opportunities up north which is stopping me from leaving Bangalore.

14 hours job is acceptable the IT employee get a good increment, but i realise that India has a huge population of unemployed youth if the employee complane then he could be easily replaced he could also be replaced if works for less hour than expected 😂 , similarly like the case with corporate job ,avoid corporate job . But government job is the best job good work life balance and considerable good amount of money but work in government also depends on the job you do like if you are in army , police ,etc then work life balance has fluctuations. There is a peculiar problem in Indian labour system. Due to thousands of years of discrimination due to caste and foreign rulers we tend to treat employees/labour as slaves. It's not about paying less and working more, it's about strip them from any human dignity, even at the cost of lower productivity. Sir i request you to pls raise the issue of West Bengal. I am sure you are well aware about the real estate and employment situation there. Even religious institutions like Ramkrishna Mission get attacked by land mafia. Moreover a huge SSC scam came up recently and the list is countless. Sir you care about middle class, and the middle class is forced to migrate out of the state. During recent Bangladesh crisis, CM chose to provide refuge to affected people of some other country. And I have seen even UA-camrs largely ignore West Bengal either to praise or oppose ruling party.
I'm an IT employee, watching it from Bangalore. We can't tell you how miserable salaried person's life in Bangalore has become these days.

Today it took me 1h20m to return from office which is just 7kms away. Potholes on the roads are so big that there goes no day without watching an accident/mishap.
IT jobs are already highly stressful and demanding. On top of that since past 1 week (Local reservation bill, Union budget and 14 hours workday) feels like we don't even deserve to live!

Ultimately the factory was closed and relocated in another state. Who gained from this actions definitely not the employees. Why not IT people go for strike otherwise they will suffer. They should demand job stability. If any company fire then company should give three month full salary and proper reason to fire the employee. IT people also demand not more than 8 hours of work in a day and 40 hours of work in a week. They should also demand that govt. Should fixed the minimum salary structure for the freshers also below that range no company can hire. They should not go to work till the things resolved. One person can't change the things all IT people should come together.
Normally there are 3 shifts in IT/ITES. By having 14 hr shift they will remove 1 shift, thereby eliminating 1/3rd workforce, so serious savings for IT majors....no concerns for employees at all.

I worked in bangalore for 9 years.. I am damn sure that most companies might not have enough projects to make employees work for 14 hrs a day all the time.
On an average 3 to 4 hrs are wasted in traffic every day.
