I prefer transformations from AXZ, but XV ones have a lot of beautiful bits.

This season has the best transformation ever. SHE IS DANCING WITH RIBBONS.
Maria’s songs have always been so good and this is no exception. She’s the only one who can have me reconsider my best girl in this series.
Maria is my least favorite from the main group, but all her songs are great.
@@42Caio I didn't have a favorite til I was done with the whole show... and it's Maria. As the oldest (pretty sure), she really took to a sisterly role for Tsubasa, and almost a mother to the rest. Like when they finally defeated the Sarcophagus in XV episode 1, notice Kirika happily hugging Maria, and not Shirabe

The Best Character with the Best Redemption role in the whole series
today's episode was a rush of emotions especially with how many callbacks to previous seasons it pulled
Since chapter 1 this anime is putting many callbacks from past seasons. The attack on Tsubasa's concert is the best callback so far.
It's the final season man.
The one way all these callbacks form a complete circle is their final finisher is a unison of them all singing Synchrogazer

Singing is part of the plot and makes them stronger. This show really just started out to cell CDs and it blew up.
Yeah, as others have said, its combat singing I guess you could say.
The gear they use functions like any other "magical girl" armor, but unlike others, this gear gains power through song. The more they sing, the more passionately they sing, the stronger their feelings, the more powerful their moves are.
I just hopped on the Symphogear hype train this past week. Ngl, season 1 was a chore to get through (bad direction, low low LOW production value, wonky writing, etc.), but as soon as I got to G (season 2), I started loving everything about it. This show is pure face-value entertainment in the absolute best way possible. A bit reminiscent of shows like TTGL and KLK with that Imaishi-level of a over-the-top absurdity. I highly recommend it. Super fun show, and amazing music as well! :D
So Maria is a rhythmic gymnastics now.
Maria does Rhythmic Gymnastics, Shirabe is a figure skater, Kirika a pole dancer, and Hibiki a martial artist/kata performer. Chris doesn’t have a sport this season I don’t think but she did have archery for her transformation in S4

Crescendobro she does archery in the opening of the new season. I think she started cuz of what happened with the boy. Also I think it’s cuz it says on the wiki that her relic uses bows but since she has violent imagination she can manifest any long range weapon using the armed gear but it’s main power are bows so she’s taking up archery.

Tsubasa is like a stoic edgelord early on (I mean, can't really blame her), but it's so funny how as her and Maria's relationship develops, Tsubasa reveals herself to be like a straight-faced dweeb. Every forehead flick was a delight 🤣
The part where she was tied with the ribbons(chains?) Was the best.
I think the chain is a dagger whip, she uses daggers and she used them combined to a chain if im right

I've also noticed that the current transformations we've seen so far have had a sport of some kind incorporated into the movement.

Shirabe was Ice Dancing
Kirika was Pole Dancing
Hibiki was a kind of marital arts (i think Karate but I'm mot sure)
The only exception is Chris kind of. Because her main weapon isn't melee based.
So I guess 'shooting' would be her sport?
I'm really looking forward to Tsubasa's transformation sequence. It's going to be hard to top this one. Maria's is the best so far.

idk Maria's / Serena's Holy Chant seems to allude to a small degree to Enki and Shem-Ha, considering that they found an Annunaki corpse in a COFFIN and Airgetlam (The Silver Right Arm of Nuada), with its primary color, relates to Shem-Ha and her connection to silver.

Pre-Ruins it's turquoise but while in the Ruins it's Silver. I found that a pretty sweet thing.

Would be awsome if they made a slash n shoot rithym/singing like game of this where you would sing the songs mixed with rithym like combat. Attacking/blocking targeted enemy would keep you from losing control of your power that is also killing you, singing the songs keeps you transformed plus saying timed catch phrases allows you to activate new weapons.
It’s not exactly what you describe, but have you heard of Hi-Fi Rush? I could describe as Devil May Cry mixed with a rhythm game, where you have to chain your attack combos to the beat of the music.
Her Japanese seiyuu also played Mio Akiyama from K-On, just let that sink in.
No wonder she sings so good.

@@abyz9774 yes and no, Miku can be a candidate for a new symphogear, but due to being bathed in her previous gear's light with Hibiki in S2(G), she can in theory also be perfectly compatable with a relic since she is no longer affected by the curse of Balaal like Hibiki.
