No it’s not. It’s still British, has the same recipe. They tried to make it like American chocolate but brits hated it (US chocolate is rank) so they stuck with the og recipe.

I'm rather happy about that too haha... do you think it's because american food ingredients contain so many additives and preservatives that are actually ILLEGAL in this country that this is the case? And kraft simply own the name and branding and that's it?

Also another fun fact, most US chocolates eg Hershey’s aren’t considered chocolate in the UK- merely ‘chocolate flavoured’ as they don’t have the right amount of cocoa. I believe that craft also produces the chocolate and makes money from it, but wouldn’t dare change the recipes again as it would ruin the brand, it’s similar to walkers crisps (owned by lays) but kept the name walkers to preserve the image.
Candy is hard boiled sweet or compressed flavored sugar shapes, chalky or bendable while chocolate.....is just yummy chocolate!🤣
