Yeah the tent was flapping so violently we actually didn't sleep much at all. The crew that planned well and secured the cabin slept soundly and didn't notice the wind at all. By the way we want to visit you guys...
This has been on my BC Bucket List for quite a while. Nice to see someone I know go and tackle it ahead of me. I'll definitely remember your tips not to go on the weekend.
I worked on Alberta lookouts just over the Divide for over 15 summer seasons. Your video was informative but nowhere near enough history; as well, you gave a flash inkling of where the lookout was situated--not long enough. For sure Forestry had a road up to this lookout as far as they could get but you never noted it, neither did you note the obvious helipad along the ridge from the lookout. Just mentioning this because this is really a spectacular lookout location and it deserved a more informative and respectful approach to it's past.
One person's not enough info is another person's boredom. The main purpose of my videos is to encourage others to get out there and have an adventure. Not exactly a history lesson. Part of the adventure involves figuring out the logistics/planning/locations, so I don't want to give everything away. I didn't notice a helipad - perhaps it is gone now? As for the history portion, there isn't a lot of information available. There are some informative signs in the lookout but anything else I would be very interested to learn. Can you enlighten me with some anecdotes or other history?

You can drive up to upper saddle mtn. Look like at one time they had a lookout there. Maybe move it from upper saddle to saddle mtn.

@@LifeIsAdventureChannel The trail,road is looked after by the atv club but it is a old road and takes off on the west side of the mtn

Yeah any summer weekday would be ideal. I *might* even take one of the kids sometimes (pretty sure they could do it).
