Goal until 2022 is to grow so big you won't be needing to go teach any more classes so we get Nizzacontent on all business days. Good luck, subscribed!
Never thought, that mtg chanel will introduce me to history but i'm glad that you'll cover that area here. Was really interested in history in school, so hope to expand that knowledge here
The upside is another history channel! The downside is I can't shill for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)" on here. Looking forward to seeing your content! Good luck from down under!
Paul Jimerson The Roman Empire was in antiquity, unless you count the Byzantine empire but they spoke Greek, worshipped Christianity, and has their capital in constantinople. Hell they didn't control rome anymore. But a "top 10 ottoman sultans" or "top 10 English kings" would be nice
Dude I'm so here for this 💜 I've been watching the MTG channel nearly since the beginning and right now I'm a year into my Master of Divinity & Christian Education degree. This is so up my alley and from an already trusted source.
Can't wait for the videos to start flowing in. History was a subject I was fairly indifferent to, while in high school. But, as the time went on, I grew more and more interested in it, and now I am subscribing to UA-cam history channels... How the turn tables, amiright?
I'm interested in the Knights Templar. My introduction to them came from Amando de Ossario's Blind Dead series, in which they were cast as the villains - but thanks to having gotten into power metal earlier last decade and listening to as much of it as possible as a result, I was compelled to look them up online due to their positive depictions in that musical genre and learned that they were much more interesting and nuanced than I thought...
It's cool to see this channel pop up after watching your mtg streams. I just listened through the Medieval Era tides of history podcast and it'll be interesting to see another academic perspective.
I will be eagerly waiting for this type of content. Suscribing right now since my knowledge on global history is not as rich as I would like to. Good idea Nizzahon!
Thanks for creating this channel! I really enjoy your Magic videos and one of my favorite things about the game is the flavor, especially sets like Theros, Amonkhet, and Kaldheim, where they're based on ancient civilizations and their mythologies. I'm not a huge history buff but I love mythology and, of course, mythology plays a huge part in the history of past civilizations. It's interesting that you focus on Judeo-Christian history. I'm a Christian, and so I'm interested in learning more about Christian and Jewish history, both from a Bibilcal perspective and beyond. I also frequently listen to a Spotify playlist that I named Fantasy and Mythology. It started off as Power Metal, but I expanded it to any musical style that I like where the lyrics are on theme. Part of this theme includes the tales of King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, and The Holy Grail. And so I have a few songs about this and about the real crusades as well...so there's a bit of history in there as well. Most notably, Serenity's song "Lionheart" is specifically about King Richard the Lionhearted and his role in the crusades. I also have Ten's "The Grail" and Blind Guardian's "The Holy Grail" on the list. I'm not sure if you're a metal fan but you may want to give those songs a listen. I just hope any potential historical inaccuracies don't bother you too much. Again, thanks for your awesome Magic channel and for this new tangent. I'm along for the ride.
It would be the ultimate universe crossover if you teamed up with The Professor. Look forward to watching some history content, if it's anything like your presentation of MTG history it will be entertaining and educational
hey nizzahon, I came here from your magic channel. Really enjoyed how you explained history of deck archetypes. Subbed on this one too since Im actually researching about things related to medieval ages and their way of life. cheers!
This is a really neat idea. My wife and I are really interested in this time in history. Excited to hear your expertise on these topics. Kind of wish more MTG content creators would branch out like this.
@@NizzahonHistory and you start with the crusades... WOW. I..we..love your work, the Magic side and the historic side. Sorry if my english is so so, I'm french Canadian.
Woohoo, so exciting! Is this a good place for requests? I'd love for you to do a video (or multiple) about the inquisitions in Spain and Portugal and the subsequent explulsion of Jews from there in 1492, and their patterns of migrations afterwards. Or patters of Jewish migration more generally. I think it would be cool because there are a lot of people out there that think Jews are only European. Would love to see you challenge that ashkenormativity!

Top ten Roman emperors minus the power 6?

I've been looking forward to this channel opening up. The first Thursday video was excellent. It showed up in my recommendations before this one.

I'll check it out. Good luck with the new channel, and see you on Thursday.
Your field of expertise nicely fits into a gaping chasm in my knowledge. Glad to see you will be discussing it.
Excited!!
Love that one of my fave mtg UA-camrs has now branched out into this 🙂🙂🙂 can’t wait! Liked and subscribed!

Excellent! Subscribed for sure. I do a little historical reenactment (not this last year of course), so I look forward to Thursday.

I will very likely deal with the Inquisition(s) and Jewish migration at some point.
Going to be more interested in this then magic videos to be honest. Looking forward to what you’ll be doing videos on
woo hoo!
More Dr. Nizzahon content! Sign me up!
Ooh
Will there be a syllabus quiz during Thursday’s class?
Do you listen to any history podcasts?
It would be awesome if you take some elements of your MTG channel... ie your Top 10 videos xD
I have considered it, and may go that route for some videos.
WW2 content plz
