I first read his work in 1960. I was 14 and my father gave me all of his books over a couple of years. He told me to learn and pay attention because he believed Immanuel. I read and took this to to heart. Over the ensuing years more and more of IV's work has been proven correct. Then came the Thunderbolt Project and The Electric Universe. Whoopie! And now Webb is shooting holes in the Big Bang lie. I wish my father could have lived to see this. I owe him my thanks!

My father also got me onto Velikovsky and I followed it up with my mother, who to my surprise, was also very clued up about his work and even started naming the names of the people who spoke out against him. Amazing to think, our parents are only so similar to ourselves in some regards and in others, we're just chips off the same block.

IV's got a great sense of humor. I laughed out loud quite a few times while reading Earth In Upheaval. I love his sarcasm and wit. At 20:55 "..Darwin achieved his victory over the book of Genesis.." That's funny!

@MrNilsenone I couldn't agree more! I've been studying Dr. Immanuel Velikovsky's work since 1972 and have never been able to let it go. Wal Thornhill, Australian physicist, EU electric universe proponent says the same, and added, "it was the logical leaps that Velikovsky made that made his work so compelling"... I quote out of memory and may not have done so accurately but the sentiment is there. Personally I feel very fortunate to even have known about Velikovsky, as his grandson likes to call him, let alone to know many who actually knew, and worked with him, as I've become a better person for it.

I first heard about Immanuel Velikovsky back in the 80's. Back then, I had to actually make phone calls (no Internet!) to various bookstores around the country to find a copy. At that time, I paid $32.50 and it was worth every penny. I've read it over and over again; it's one of my favorite books to read. I've found that the louder the criticism, the more likely that someone's ox has been gored. Uppity intellectuals do not like to be called out. While I understand that not everything he wrote is 100% accurate, I believe the concept and supposition of what he intended. He was far ahead of his time, and time will prove him out.

The Capstone work of Velikofsky. I refer to it all the time. It's like all the other work he did found its purpose in this book.,Epigenetics is the next field that needs to refer to his work. From World's in Collision The way he depicts the mental anguish that would have been caused by Venus appearing in the sky, moving closer day by day the noise it started to make louder and louder months on end. To then read that maybe my dna was there and recorded it and to this day that memory could still be there sitting behind a wall of amnesia is just about the most exciting idea of this century..Einstein had the last century add in Jung, Freud and you're getting close. Open the Quantum discussion specifically the observers role in the outcome and there's Velikovsky with the when the how and the why then he leaves us with the biggest question of our age. Can we continue to use this ability to forget as a way to survive the earth changes that are upon us now. It's 30 years since we were told unless we changed our behavior and take note of global warming we will be cooked. And here we are staring at Venus again, fearful, mesmerized, we even know what to do but somehow we're frozen in the lights, we put it in the amnesia room as often as possible. This interview listening to him reminding me of those Austrian
Jewish men of his age true savants of their time with a great sense of humor, great certainty, and that tone of voice and stare that says I don't blame you for not understanding that part for 30 years but the easy part took you forever ?? How anyone chose Carl 'Disney' Sagan over him ?

Then he was attack for saying something different that turn out to be more realistic or closer to the truth. And just in the same way today for more than a century mainstream has blindly assure us they got the answer to the many questions concerning that that we don't know, but interestingly enough things are slowly starting to reveal themself to be the complete opposite or somewhat erroneous, all thanks to new minds that go against the stream of the status cuo and spread the knowledge, dismantling decades of false data and info of our history.

The Grand Tack hypothesis, probablly wouldn't have been formed, without this brilliant man, enduring the criticism and negativity that he did. Venus and Uranus are the black sheep in the family. In the case of Uranus, simulations from 2011 propose that several smaller collisions, rather than one large impact, knocked Uranus’ spin to an extreme angle of 98 degrees. This could also explain why Uranus’ moons rotate at the same angle, which would be unlikely if there were just one massive collision. Its such a fascinating subject!

it is difficult to know who's "side" the interviewer is on, but he does state the true reason as to why the scientific establishment refuse to test Velikovsky's ideas and any other theories associated with the proposition of an Electric Universe: He states, "the embarrassment for science is that (Velikovsky is) seeking to unearth a natural fact by way of humanistic evidence" and that "this also is an argument (against Velikovsky's methods)". The trick he pulls there is the same approach as any position within establishment science: stating the methods of prediction as being scientifically unmethodical and thereby rendering any predicted observations that challenge the established scientific paradigm as being somehow inadmissible as evidence for the heretical theory and, in contradiction, the orthodoxy will describe any anomalous observations through other ad-hoc explanations that may be more compatible with the existing paradigm. It is really quite unbelievable that no matter how many successfully predicted observations are made by an Electric Universe cosmology, which confound the counterpart predictions made by the scientific orthodoxy, there appears to remain an institutionalised automatic discrediting of the associated theories!
Just an observation from a layperson interested in the "natural sciences", you understand, and in no way to be thought worthy of the consideration of the highly esteemed people of science who we see on the tv, speaking of the “Wonder" and “Awe" of the universe etc...

      Oh good heavens.
I am old now. I grew up in a world where "interviewers" were required to be neutral. It is a mark of our times that this "neutrality" expressed as an inability to determine what "side" the interviewer is on is somehow unusual. It appears that we expect our interviewers, now, to be biased and on one side of a question or another. But this is the wrong way to do things! It has always been wrong. That it is so common place that actual "objective" interviews seem odd is horrifying.

Louis Dackombe , well done Louis that was great, it seems I’m very late to this argument and wonderful hypothesis, so late that it was only a month ago I’d ever heard of the electric universe I’m loosing sleep,it has totally changed my focus on the way I seen things, from the weather ,to the way plants grow, the forces on the body, our ancestors and so much more, and to think it was right in front of us, no need for mystical mathematics, inventing events with only the hallway of conventional theories to walk down,I feel now that we actually do have a path to explore,a real chance to move forward. Thank you again you have expressed very eloquently and articulated something that is quite hard to share. Thank you ✌️

For me Velikovsky's description of the ancient records of the wayward Venus explains perfectly the passage in Isaiah 14:12 - 14:14 about Lucifer (bad translation), which really refers to Venus:
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [ie,Morning Star, or Venus], son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High

Remarkable interview to this amazing scholar and researcher who swam against the official establishment of the academy around the evolutionist and uniformitarian theses on the appearance of species and the stages of formation of the planet, even proposed a reformulation in the chronologies of ancient civilizations.

I agree. It is rather interesting that at MIT they are claiming to create electricity from air - when Nikola Tesla invented an aerial device that captured energy from the air in the early 1900s [1901].
Others have as well: In 1925, Hermann Plauson, in 1936, Thomas Henry Moray, etc.,
There were others, of course, Alexkor/Rayburn/Nathan Stubblefield, etc., - however, their work was not promoted to nor for us
It seems that MIT is not even acknowledging the foundations of scientific inventors before them
It begs to research the founding fathers of such institutions

Consider things and options. Don't judge right by which you are taught. Think after the teaching, study more, and then reach conclusions. Centuries from now, they will be proven either wrong or lacking.... and this is the process emmanuel is teaching. If we are evolving, so must our ideas, thinking, and questioning . Never be certain, because you will never know.

I read his first book when i was a kid back in the 60's. i reread the first 3 in the 80s along with sitchkin . I am a ancient history buff and have read of the other myths/stories that he alludes to. so many theories are debunked by the mainstream as a matter of fact it seems. maybe this is why einstein could never get his 2 theories to work together. kind of explains the super gash in mars side that science will not attempt o explain. if it was a giant interplanetary plasma bolt from the collision of magnetic fields as he talks about happening to the earth, then there is the proof required. i dont know much about the electric universe as i really have little interest in that aspect. i see i need to re investigate it tho. some of Venus's weirdness, like the temp and the atmosphere shows that he was right and it is a new planet. same with its orbit. makes you wonder tho if it came from jupiter or outside and passed by uranis, causing its tilt and orbit? maybe this is the planet niberu that the sumerians talked of? No i dont believe in aliens from space, reason why? every advanced civilization destroys the under civilization. any race from space would have been incompatible to earth and would have bio-engineered the earth to them. empty planet tho is different. but since gobekli tepi has been found it would have to be earlier then 12000 years ago.
