- Myanmar's military junta, which took power in a coup in February 2021, is increasingly facing armed resistance. Last October, an alliance of ethnic rebel groups and pro-democracy activists launched a major offensive across the country. In response, the junta recently announced mandatory conscription for all men aged 18 to 35 and women aged between 18 and 27. As a result, thousands of young people are now fleeing the country to avoid being called up. Most are heading to neighbouring Thailand, which is bracing for an influx of refugees. FRANCE 24's William de Tamaris reports from the Thai border.

Not just the young. Most of the middle income families have liquidated their assets and have migrated to Thailand. The rich have already established mulitiple condos, companies and shops there. It's an exodus. The Yangon airport is crowded these days with poor families sending off their young people; maybe 5-10 family members for each one leaving. It is quite a sight seeing people saying goodbye knowing their children will never come back to this country.
Thailand again and again that always help them but what we got from this? The blaming from Burmese say we copy their culture LMAO

The JUNTA will have little casualties with the apparent strategy of "ENCIRCLEMENT" & "BLITZ" strategy.
The strategy of pushing CONSCRIPTS refugees to REBEL TERRITORY will cause severe SUPPLIES CRISIS.
EACH refugee cost money to feed, cloth.

meanwhile Thailand stopped the process of making proper documents for immigrants to become legal workers, so they can take the advantage in both legal and non-legal way. Typical political Military Tycoons.
