One thing I’d like to ask regarding these videos, if possible, is for you talk about Corrin marriage. Yes, everyone likes Corrin marriage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find interesting things to talk about it, and you wouldn’t even have to linger on it too much, but there’s a lot of funny stuff units can do, not just “wyvern/sol ninja go brrr”. Hinata, for instance, can keep his sword rank in the cavalier and mercenary class lines and get fun stuff like Elbow room or Strong Riposte from them. Sometimes if all a build needs to get going is corrin marriage, it might be worth a quick mention.
Thanks for doing super-jock Hinata! I’m convinced he’s not serious or a stellar unit, but I love him character wise. And, yes, Hinata surely deserves all those blows.
I’ve always wanted to do a quad seal build on him. Oboro marriage for Def and Spd, Oni for Res, and Master of Arms for Str. It’s probably not very good, but it’s funny, and thats what matters
I've done that with Oboro!Caeldori (inherited seal Str from father and seal Res from mother) and I can confirm it is very funny. Probably could've added in seal Mag if I had her marry dark mage talent Corrin
From my understanding (I haven't tested it), the one extremely minor advantage Triple Threat has over Counter is that it would apply to weapons like Javelins or Hand Axes, as it doesn't require opponents to be adjacent. Which .... is far too niche to ever have practicable value, but I guess it's not totally nothing.
Hinata is actually the best countermagic user in the game imo, at endgame you can push 50+ HP, and with a Kodachi/Wakizashi, he is a very funny way to bait and eliminate a scary single magic enemy while still being a physical tank (usually with a very beefy renewal the next turn)
Honestly whenever I play Birthright for whatever reason, Hinata gets RNG blessed and does everything he can to stay in the starting lineup, not Ryoma good per say, but carries his weight exceeds my expectations
@kevinsoba3747 That's just the way Hana is: she naturally has great strength and speed, so she can always do good damage despite the samurai class's low strength stat. The main issue that holds Hana back more so than anything else is her fragility; she can probably rival Ryoma in terms of damage output, despite not having access to the broken Raijinto that he has, but it's the fact that she can't usually take more than a hit or two that I see most people pointing out as her main shortcoming. Hinata is quite the opposite in that regard: he can tank a hit surprisingly well for a samurai, but he's slow (he has a good speed base, but he probably won't get too many points as he levels up, even as a swordmaster), and he has a low strength stat that leaves him trailing behind Hana and Ryoma alike in terms of raw killing power
@@matthewkuscienko4616 i guess for me, I have always been a heavy player phase fire emblem player so glass cannons work extremely well for me. Either way as you saod Hana is in fact very frail but I still have fun using her and seeing her have 100 avoid on beserkers in the late game so to each there own!
This is gonna be interesting. I don't mind Hinata as a character and providing Samurai to friends and wives (much earlier than Ryoma at that) is cool, but his stats just do not want to work. He reminds me of the native Myrmidons from FE11 and 12 who have impressive Spd bases, until you realize that Myrm is far faster than any other class
43:57 quick correction but Warding Blow is a +20 boost to Res, not +10. It’s a big difference but the main purpose of the build is to be funny, so who cares lul
In my experience, it's not a matter of "if" Kagero will cap her strength stat, but more so a matter of "when", since her high growth in the stat coupled with a low cap (because if her ninja class, that is) makes it easy to reach said cap. It's also for this reason why, although I usually use her as a master ninja because of the speed it gives her, I sometimes consider giving her a class that has higher strength, just so she can get that much more out of having such a high growth rate in that stat
"good, but not good enough" is pretty damn fitting for Hinata as a character... the way these deep-dives make me think the writing in this game is better than we thought, we just weren't looking at it right 😵
The meta for Fates in 2027 will be that the writing is good and Camilla sucks Jk but really the personality-gameplay integration is pretty neat in this game I think!
Hearing y'all talk about Life and Death reminds me: Is there ever a reason to use L&D on someone who is bulky if you don't intend to use them Defensively (like if you intentionally wanna go all-in on Offense), or would you be better off picking a character who is already built for High Offenses, Low Defenses?
I tried oni savage hinata on my birthright file, he has the highest hp in my team and very high defense but his speed isn't great so he almost never 2 rounds
I didn’t know there were so many thirsty people for hinata
Silence, they're talking about my husband

Hinata is my favorite Birthright character for no other reason than that I just love his crit quotes.
Let's get WILD
OH THAT’S IT!

he’s hot and that’s enough!

I can’t get enough of these! Looking forward to the eventual episode on Hana.

Always been me with Hana. People hate her but she always ends up so fast and strong for me.

Thanks so much!

Will you eventually analyze the child units? Or will you move to CQ units?
Kagero for me always caps strength naturally when I use her and that is even before promotion

The lovable Himbo
Id love to hear you eventually cover Rinkah. I've always thought she was criminally underrated as a unit and has a lot going for her.
hodan theme!!!!!! hinata king of the onsen!!!!!!
He's not the best but he's functional and I like him so I usually still try to use him. Though, now I am VERY tempted to try that mono-blow build-
The only Good niche Hinata has is hugh Defense and good HP, but he's not Worth the Second Seal for Oni
