I have to agree with Mikes point of view, I hope you can tell your side... It seemed that Sadguru felt no need to connect with his questions, to gently correct him of using 'wrong words' . Nitpicking about words used in the wrong way is not how a guru should behave I think, even when he is correct... He could be to far away from the general public to connect on a basic level, especially when someone asks questions in a basic way... (backstory, I have the same experience sometimes when people do not connect with what I said, it's like they hear something else then what I just said, hope this all make sence) thanks for your reply.

And as for a scam, he literally makes nothing from it so there's no real need for him to scam - he belives in what he preaches. It may not be true 100 percent of the time, but rather than being skeptical to it - open your eyes to this free content he provides you on UA-cam and take whatever you think is right. His main preach is to question things continuously, he doesnt say he's always right.

Yes, there are practices around the world through meditation that you can Excel to a higher place but for someone to truly know that you would have to do a lot of research because it is not easy. You have to ask a lot of questions Within to know if this would be the right path. George has got it completely wrong. His beliefs and his emotions are somehow blocking him from getting the point. At no point did Sadhguru ever mention that it was ok for you to leave this world if you feel like leaving. Please don't misinterpret him like that. From personal and anecdotal experience, he has prevented thousands of people from committing suicide in the past.

Exactly! I'm surprised how he took what Sadhguru said literally! All Sadhguru said was "if ppl believe that there is a heaven that is better than this world why haven't they gone?" What he means by this is that if ppl are really honest with themselves, they understand that the concept of heaven is not something that they "know" but something that they "believe".

George didn’t understand even 1% of what Sadhguru was talking about during that podcast....Sadhguru NEVER condoned suicide, he was only answering a question and using it as an reference to explain his point that we don’t know what lies beyond without being there...all he was trying to explain is the fact that we need to find peace WITHIN ourselves and then the outside world wouldn’t matter anymore

Alright Boys! As a person whose been listening to Sadhguru since 2012, learned and practice his yoga/meditation methods, and have read most of his books/watched most of his videos I wanted to share my perspective. When it comes to certain aspects of life Sadhguru gives very direct hard hitting, blunt answers HOWEVER when it comes to many of the deeper aspects of life he doesnt generally give direct answers and he does that very intentionally. He's not trying to give you another philosophy, ideology, belief system - where you either take his word for it, or you dismiss him off - he wants you to intensify your seeking, he wants you to doubt and question all your assumptions, everything you have been taught, he wants you to intensify your longing to know truth. Now the question is HOW do you arrive at that truth? His whole work is to give people these yogic, meditative practices to people and when you practice them consistently with discipline you will see a whole new level of inner-clarity, awareness, and profound insights into life come from within. I am saying this as a person whose been on this path for several years - many of the deeper questions I had - I got answers and clarity from within. In one aspect you guys were right - you are your own guru because the answers come from within. Sadhgurus role is to help you doubt everything you believed in and assumed, he wants to question everything and if you start meditating and doing these spiritual practices the inner guru in you will awaken. For those who may be intersted I would recommend his book "Inner Engineering : A yogi's guide to joy" (Which got NY times best seller btw) as a great start and youtube his guided meditation called "Isha kriya." Also he has some great 1 on 1 interviews on youtube such as his talk at google and his talk on Impact Theory (my personal favorite). These are some initial great steps. Glad to see Logan plans to spend 7 days with him, I think that will be life transforming! Best of luck to all of you

Wonderfully said! Even I did not appreciate Sadhguru at all when I first heard him speak because, like you said, he is not just giving answers but trying to make you look and seek for yourself. But initially I thought he was just twisting peoples words or dodging the questions. After years of practicing his meditations and Yoga practices and being involved with volunteering, I can say that my experience of life has become absolutely beautiful. I hope these boys also take another step and explore a little further in this direction. Logan, you are in for a fantastic ride 🙏👍

It allows us to grow our consciounsness of our life and the world, this is literrally how we move forward and grow and embrace human intelligence. Let this consciousness rise because it empowers us. This is how we are gonna fix human beings to have the more life-oriented impact on this world.
And that is the whole job/life of Sadhguru, and he is damn good at it.

Okay, george, one correction, Sadhguru didn't say it was okay to leave. He did say that no one had the right to take away what was given to them by god. He asked, if there was something better than here, why shouldn't one go there? And he said, instead of having expectations of going to a better place, try and make your current place an even better place. Instead of waiting for something to happen, he asked you to make it happen here. I get it George, Sadguruji has a way with his words and how it was very easy to misunderstand them.
And one thing in general, like everyone said, for people who were listening to him speak for the first time, it could seem very vague and confusing. I'd say, just for a while, with an open mind (nothing spared), try and listen to a few of his discourses, about all the topics you felt were not addressed properly here. Then come back and give your verdicts.
Hope I've made sense. Have a great day! Love to all of you.

The reason they seemed vague and confusing was because he used very common psuedo intellectual phrases and topics. He says a whole lot but actually never really makes a point. He is what religion is for other people. He makes people feel comfortable with the unknown and give them a belief in something. He good for some people that lack something in their life.
