It's incredible HOW EASY they peel off and how good is the result!!! Let me know if that works for anyone!!!

Honestly the best educational video for supports. Thanks for what you do
Truth be said, I had a problem getting through your long and tedious intro, however that being said I would like to add the following. This has to be one of the most informative, and clear videos I have yet to see on UA-cam. Clear and multiple examples, not to mention explanations that are not normally seen. Well thanks for your honesty. I’ve got a bit of a babbling issue I like to talk 😅. I’m a very visual person and I’m really trying to make videos anyone can understand. When I was getting started I could never find examples so I always try to show them when possible. (See I’m rambling even in text) Nonetheless thank you and I’m truly glad it was helpful.
Excellent video and tutorial, Cura will only lay support at the same interval as the layer height for the model. so in your case 0.1mm is the layer height so that will be the height at which the support will be laid. So a test of 0.3mm is a gap of 3 layers or 0.3mm. But a support height of 0.35mm will also be a gap of 3 layers or 0.3mm. The same as the 0.25mm support is in fact a gap of only 0.2mm not 0.25mm!
Wow. I've been winging it for the past 2 months since I started 3d printing. This video is a game changer. Such great information explained in such a great way that even I as a beginner understood it.

Thanks. Very helpful. I have realized my problem with supports was the interface and Z distance for it. This gives me some good explanations of the different settings and some figures that should at least be in the neighborhood.
Just pay attention to one important thing, the SLICER rounds up the "Support top distance" for example if you choose 0.25, or 0.3, or 0.35 it is actually equal to 0.4 (two layers between the model and the supporting roof). Since each layer is 0.2. When you choose 0.2 it will actually be 0.2 (one layer between the model and the supporting roof)
Hello, let me say job well done. You did a very nice job explaining of what each setting does. And then actually showed us with a physical model. Thank you.
First of all - such a grate video! Thank you for that! What more I can say is that i recomend using an Support Roof Horizontal Expansion (0.4 mm is my go to). It gives the eges more straight flore for the next layer to print :)
@@ItsMeaDMaDe it'll definitely help. I'm going to share your video to everyone that asks for help with supports. I'll be doing the test prints today with my machine with your video as a guide to dial it in. Any chance at a video with tree supports?

Great video series, one note that seems to have been glossed over the support top and bottom z-distance needs to be a multiple of the layer height, or cura will just round it up anyway. so say you are printing at a 0.1 mm layer height, then your 0.35 and 0.4 are the same distance as far as cura is concerned.
