When putting the vinyl, I always pull it from the center of the vinyl that way its always centered if you pull both corners, sometimes the material will shift.
How much? how much? how much? Customers call like we are selling 2x4's or cans of beans. I do local work in a very small town. All custom. Some call pricing my work against the internet and I say go with the internet! But... the internet won't install. The internet won't come out to measure. The internet won't create a 4x8' printable file for free. The internet won't fix your mistakes or changes. Like going to McDonalds, you pay and then get your stuff. The internet is really good for some things. I use them. I simply refuse to compete with those who've done a very good job selling on the internet.
pro tip for popping out them bigger jobs: say you gotta do 1000, just run 10 sheets of 100, stack em and pop the corners so you can register them all together, then go around and staple them together and you can pop 10 at once. This also helps add structural rigidity to complex die-cuts that may have weaker areas. Added bonus is that now you're counting in 10s so if you just pop 10, boom you've got an easy 100 stack. No counting needed! 🤓
I own a VG2-540 and just ordered a VG3-540 with the new color setup, for stickers you can try (High Quality, Bi-Direction and 600mm/sec speed instead of the 1016mm/sec, reducing the printing speed on small stickers improves the sharpness a lot. Thats the fastest and best quality I can get. I can wait to get my VG3 next week to add it to my shop.
16:48. "I need a bigger spot!" Yes...My 4x8 table was killing me. You can actually ruin your prints, create creases and expand your vocabulary. I made my table 5x10 and it was a breath of fresh air.
I am so excited for you! I have the baby of that machine Roland BN20 and I love it. I hope to be at your level soon. Keep up the great videos you teach very well.
We just ordered our VG3-540 this week. Looking like early September delivery but hopefully it's sooner! I wish there were more videos like yours about it online.
What type of sticker paper did you use? I just got the same machine. I use the Roland glossy calendered vinyl. And it was horrible at cutting and kept. Jamming my printer because the sheet would lift and get stuck.
hola me gusto mucho tu video, tengo una roland vg3 640 y estoy muy contento con ella, ya tengo experiencia con una vg2 540 y me ayudo mucho para entender mi nueva maquina..... espero subas mas contenido, gracias.
I have experienced stickers will peel over time if there is zero white outline. Full Bleed stickers tend to peel sooner than stickers with a white outline. Seems the UV inks may be changing the properties of the adhesive. Not sure. I sell with a white outline as an option for my customers. The 3 minute wait with high vacuum is a great option for drying time otherwise the pressure wheels may track into wet ink and leave a visible "rut" in your art designs and track ink in that path. Cleaning the wheels after that is never fun. Fantastic new machine.
Hey @Heart and hustle printing great video, quick question what is the depth of just the printer without the stand? curious on the size please let me know if you get chance
Good Sh!t, how do you like the machine now that you've had it for a while? I was looking at a Roland Truevis UV 30" P&C. I've only had the Hp Latex 360 and a Mutoh so i'm not sure what to expect out of a little P & C machine.
What cut force and settings did you use with the IJ35? Sorry I couldn't see your settings really well on your computer. I have been laminating mine just because I didn't feel the sticker would hold up. I see you didn't use laminate. So I'm assuming I would be ok without also....this would save me sooo much time!
When i bought it i believe it was 18,000. I went to Printing United in Alanta and bought it at the show for 16,000 and they gave me a roll of vinyl to print sticker and a free set of inks. Probably gave you more info than you asked for.
what media do you use for large format printing? for example billboards or signage, we have something called different here in the Philippines I dunno if we use the same media here, I'm thinking of purchasing another roland printer, and yours looks really good
Hi I am in Atlanta. Is this the Internal Sign Expo you was talking about? I looking to see if this the same one coming in February. Looking to invest in one of these machines.
Hey bro, i came upon ir channel last nite. (UA-cam cancelled my account so im using my wives account). Congrats on how far youve come. So i have a box truck, we rent water slides, and i want to put pictures of my waterslides on the side of my box truck. Im talking 2'x3' size pictures. At 1st i thought of using decals, but some of the slides are made of marble vinly and i think thatd b too tricky to do w vinly decals. Whats the best way to put pictured that big on my box truck? They have to b able to withstand weather and wind when we drive it. Thanks

What if you wanted to laminate stickers before they are cut? To make super durable stickers for rental equipment?
We put registration marks on them. Then will laminate and then cut decals out.

Great review sir. Please can this print up to 3.2m or 10ft wide? What exactly is the size?
