Have really enjoyed your and Oti's R2 honest and practical reviews. Have just ordered on for some exploring of our rivers, lakes and shorelines here in Tasmania Australia. Thank you!
I think this is the inflatable kayak I’ve been looking for. I have a two person hard kayak that I’ve had for about 10 years now that I can paddle solo or with my partner. it’s super stable and paddles great but it’s very heavy to lift onto the car roof rack. The R2 looks just the ticket! Can you recommend the company you bought it from? Thanks.
Spot on, once I got the straps adjusted right for me! I have no abdominal obliques (born with a condition called Exomphalos) and Scoliosis, so back support is very important to be too 🙂
Excellent, fingers crossed it's the right one for you 🙂 It's definitely worth going somewhere easy to get in and out to get it adjusted how you want the first time 👍
Hi! Yes, this is the R2 Ultra - a bit bigger than I technically need, but it gives myself and my dog plenty of room, plus space for camping equipment. Lovely stable boat that tracks well 🙂
I've got the exact same kayak, I got mine on sale for £750 which I think is well worth it, I agree that it needs a handle though! I'm planning on adding one to it like here - ua-cam.com/video/pAxB0XpiJKA/v-deo.htmlsi=A_L71cxIAoEIq2hH, and the seat gets uncomfortable, I just bought a gel cushion to put on the seat but haven't tried it yet. Also the foam foot rest sucks, it just bends as soon as you put any pressure on it, so I've put some lengths of plastic pipe around it with cable ties to make it more solid. I love how easy it is to pump up, 3x7psi is a doddle compared to 1x15psi on the paddleboard! I also bring a 5l water pressure sprayer bottle to rinse off the dirty river water, then dry it with a microfibre towel before packing away. And I agree with you about Razor Kayaks customer service, one of the detachable seat pockets that came with mine was damaged, and they sent me a new one out straight away from Australia! Can't wait to get back out on it when the weather gets better!
Ah, glad you're enjoying yours! I a;so paid 750, I think it was the original price that they came out at? That handle looks good, Razor are also going to make one then send it to try, which I'm looking forward to. I'm just fed up with not getting out at the moment as I've been ill, fingers crossed next week! 🤞
Love both reviews. It’s inspired me to try to get out tomorrow on the Werribee River in Victoria Australia.
You're very welcome, and I really do hope that you enjoy your paddle tomorrow if able to get out - that sounds a stunning area!

Just ordered an R2 Ultra. Your reviews really helped. Getting excited about it arriving :) Thank you for sharing your experiences :)
You're very welcome, happy paddling for years to come!
That waterway and its views are beautiful!
Lovely isn't it, I was very pleasantly surprised!
Thanks for that the seat looks great and comfortable I like the look of the kayak thanks Tom
Glad you enjoyed it, and yes, all very comfortable 🙂
Good job getting to the launching point with all that gear 👍
Thank you, this one was a bit of a challenge!

Hi!
It sounds as though it could definitely work for you - if you Google Razor kayaks UK you'll find them 🙂
How was the back support with the seat. I really need a seat I can lean back on.

I like the look of the Razor. Is it the R2 you've got?
Lol actually, just seen it mentioned in your video 😅

@@OtiAdventureToller thanks so much for the offer, it's a bit of a trek from York though 😅

@@OtiAdventureToller Let us know how you get on with the handle they send you, I'd be interested to see that 👍🏻
Definitely, will do 🙂
