    That is a great trick. Would love to do that, but not very sure of my cutting abilities with the reciprocating saw. (Does anyone else call those "sawzall"?)

    Have enjoyed your video’s. Stubby bumper was like my first major mod on a brand new rubi.... was a little nerve racking taking a knife to my brand new Jeep but this is pretty simple for most to do. The only thing I would add is painting the steel portion of the bumper once cutting. I have since sold my stubby and installed an after market bumper.. I do think you put your videos together quite professionally... keep it up .... Jeep wave from Toronto !!!

    Hey AdventureDex do a diy video of you installing some limb risers..i have some on my ‘11 Jk Rubicon. I think they be a great addition to your jeep. I have the smittybuild set & they go well for when you have an off road 50” light bar so it still fits.

    I did my own stubby bumper but used the ends that I cut off as the end caps. Mine weren't crumpled so they worked perfect

      @@madisonmartinez3667 basically the same way as this video except I cut a small portion from the cap so i could reuse it, then made that cut 3.5" like in the video. I think I did 4" tho

    Looks a lot better. These are plastic? I don't like cutting metal on the JK to replace with plastic. I read the RC ones are steel. Of course, both look nicer than stock.

  • @lisao8132
    @lisao8132 4 роки тому

    Working on this now with my dad. This is purely a cosmetic fix as the end caps are not stable once secured. Will need to try and find replacement bolts to make the caps more secure. They actually wiggle when touched. Looks cool, just not going to be good for resale value if you plan to trade your Jeep in.

    I think this is a decent idea. I have a TJ not a JK and my front bumper stock but cut short. Smaller bumpers are way more useful Offroad. My only question is I've looked around at JK bumpers with friends and you can get a decent one for a little over a hundred bucks how much do is end caps cost and at the end of the day isn't it really better to just get a decent aftermarket bumper for a hundred and forty bucks?

    Bought a 2014 Sahara last week. I used to have a 2005 TJ Sport before I wrecked it. Just realized nothing is metal anymore. Its all plastic bumpers, grills, and fenders. Kinda disappointed. Also, airbag has a recall because it might explode like a grenade. They lowered their standards
